and we all must remember that Yorke was once an out-and-out striker. his performance yesterday  just testifies to the fitness, versatility, talent, and overall greatness of our #19.

but also big ups to (of course) Shaka, Sancho, Edwards, Lawrence, Glen, and Grey for playing to their full potential.

Mexico may not win it all, but they have a good chance of going into the semis and then possibly the finals. People forget- no team has seen a full strength side from Mexico since the USA played against them Easter Sunday at Azteca, and Mexico has been playing without possibly their best finisher, since Blanco had that falling out with their coach, Ricardo LaVolpe. If the two reconcile, you will see a complete squad, because Bravo lacks the experience and mind for finishing that Blanco has.

As for their players that are playing in the friendlies right now and were playing in the late qualifying stages, those are all rising stars in the Meican League who will be playing a key part in future qualifying- so look for them to go all the way in 2010. With Ochoa in goal, Marquez and a more experienced Bravo (and possibly) Dos Santos leading the attack, and Marquez holding it down on D, that will be an excellent team, thats my word.

evidently fifa and the whole of germany have witnessed how a well-tossed tenor pan can make a fun, yet dangerous frisbee...
this is the silliest news i've heard yet from fifa. it will be interesting to see who will raise a bigger fuss about this... we, the brazillians, or the africans (that is, if the african countries involved depend on iron in their music as much as we). hopefully jack will knock some sense into the heads of these people before the trinis and brazillians do it themselves...with their rhythm instruments of course

Barca ugly away (Yellow) kit

i agree-barca looks like a team of 10 highlighters running up and down the pitch at their away games. those yellow shirts probably glow in the dark. they should've stuck with the gold.
