POLITICIAN, LATINO WOMAN IN HOTEL SEX

http://tntmirror.com/tnt-new3/?p=2529

AN explosive video showing a high Government Official engaging in sex and drug taking with a Spanish speaking woman, has surfaced. It is said to be in the possession of some elements in the ruling People’s Partnership (PP). In the video the Official was shown making a spliff (a marijuana cigarette) and speaking loudly. The conversation with the woman was in Spanish but at times the official is heard shouting to someone, in English, off camera “Hold on, ah coming now.” The disgruntled PP operatives said the waste of time official was brazen to be involved in such illegal activities while wearing his Ministry’s emblemon his shirt. In the midst of the activity, the official was making jokes with the woman and eventually got down to steamy sex in
room 201, the number prominently displayed on the key ring.
When this video is eventually released to the public it will definitely be the end of the political career for this particular moron who is well known for his vociferous manner in public forums.

An activist of the ruling PP Government said it was really unfortunate that if such a scandal erupts now it can only harm the party and when one considers the ongoing rumour that the Prime Minister cannot fire a top official because he has certain confidential files on her, “This can only make it 1worse for us,” he declared

This scandal comes on the heels of several Government ministers being involved, one way or the other, with offences that saw the intervention of the police.
Former Minister in the Ministry of National Security Colin Partap is currently before the courts for failure to take a breathalyser test, Minister Dr. Rupert Griffith was recently freed by the court after he clashed with a police officer and Vasant Bharath admitted to driving his vehicle over a woman’s instep last year during the carnival celebrations.

Additionally, two Government ministers were involved in serious vehicle accidents. Chandresh Sharma was rescued by Opposition Member of Parliament Donna Cox
when his vehicle was involved in an accident on the Lady Young Road.
The Ministry of Sports vehicle was badly damaged with Minister Anil Roberts. To date, the cost of damage has not been released by the Government and there was no information forthcoming from the Insurance company.

Recently, a politician suggested that MPs and members of Government ought to be subjected to drug and lie detector tests given the spate of unfortunate accidents and altercations with the public and law enforcement agencies that plagued these high ranking persons over the years.
It is only a matter of time before this video is exposed and is more than likely to rock the nation.
The Prime Minister should stop the rot and read the riot act, immediately.

Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll resigns amid state, federal probe of non-profit veterans group (she must be ralated to Renraw)

http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/03/13/3283274/lt-gov-jennifer-carroll-resigns.html

By Tia Mitchell and Mary Ellen Klas
Herald/Times Tallahassee Bureau

TALLAHASSEE -- Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll abruptly resigned amid law enforcement questions about a Florida Internet sweepstakes company at the center of a nationwide criminal investigation that has led authorities to arrest nearly 60 people in six states.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement interviewed Carroll Monday about her connections to the company, Allied Veterans of the World, a Florida-based non-profit that operates a chain of Internet cafes.

Carroll once owned a public relations firm that represented Allied Veterans, and she did work for the company at the same time she served in the Florida House. She resigned Tuesday. She has not been charged with any crime.

Attorney General Pam Bondi and law enforcement officials, speaking at a news conference in Orlando on Wedneday afternoon, said the multistate investigation — dubbed “Operation Reveal the Deal” — of the purported veterans’ charity led to arrest warrants for 57 people in Florida and five other states. Charges include racketeering, conspiracy, money laundering and possession of slot machines. Earlier this week, top leaders of Allied Veterans and the head of Jacksonville’s police union were arrested on charges of racketeering and money laundering.

“It is shameful that Allied Veterans of the World allegedly attempted to use the guise of a charitable organization to help veterans in order to lend credibility to this $300 million illegal gambling scheme,” said Bondi in a statement. “The Office of Statewide Prosecution will be filing formal charges related to illegal gambling, racketeering and money laundering, and they will prosecute the participants in the scheme to the fullest extent of the law.”

http://www.guardian.co.tt/news/2013-03-11/soca-star%E2%80%99s-husband-held-sexual-assault

The husband of a popular soca star was arrested early yesterday morning and is expected to be charged for grievous sexual assault. The man, who spent last night at the Chaguanas Police Station, was arrested around 3 am yesterday at a house at Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas.Reports reveal that a woman who works with the entertainer was asleep at her home, when, around 2 am, she was awakened and found the man lying on the bed attempting to assault her.

The woman left the entertainer’s home and later filed a report at the Chaguanas station. Following inquiries, the man, who was believed to be intoxicated, was arrested at the entertainer’s home and taken to the station, where he was placed in a cell and left to sober up. Senior officials yesterday confirmed the man had been questioned, and that statements had also been recorded from the entertainer.

Calls to the entertainer’s cellphone went unanswered yesterday, while there were also no responses to text messages and voicemails were not returned.

Cops probe farmer’s murder

http://www.guardian.co.tt/news/2013-03-04/cops-probe-farmer%E2%80%99s-murder

A 55-year-old farmer was chopped to death during a robbery at his Arouca garden on Saturday afternoon. According to reports, around 4.20 pm, Anand Ramdass, of Boundary Road, Aranguez, was found murdered at Paw Paw Drive, Orange Grove Road (South), Arouca. Police said that Ramdass left home early yesterday morning to go to his garden. Relatives became worried when he did not return home in the afternoon and after several calls to his cell phone went unanswered.

His brother-in-law, Gregory Pooran later went to the garden where he found him lying face down in a field in his underwear. Ramdass had several chop wounds to his arms and neck. Police said that his body had several other visible marks of violence which indicate that he may have been beaten by the robbers before he was killed. His wallet, jewelery, cell phone and his Toyota Hilux van were missing.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr Gopaul, who ordered his body removed to the Forensic Science Centre in St James. A post-mortem is to be conducted today. The murder toll now stands at 84, as compared to 61 for the corresponding period last year. According to statistics from the Police Service’s Crime and Problem Analysis Branch (CAPA) there were 377 murders in 2012.

Superintendent Baldeo Nanan and detectives of the Region Two Homicide Bureau are probing Ramdass’ murder.

Man Suing Grocery Store For Banning Him After He Refused a “Negroid” Bagger: Freedom of Religion, Property Rights, and the Right to Refuse Service

http://reason.com/blog/2012/08/09/man-suing-grocery-store-for-banning-him

A Hawkins man is claiming his civil rights and religious freedom were violated earlier this year when a black man sacked his groceries and a Big Sandy grocery store owner banned the customer from the business…

[Dewitt Thomas] stated in a nine-page, hand-written lawsuit that he told the grocery sacker, a black man, “Wait a minute, don’t touch my groceries. I can’t have someone negroidal touch my food. It’s against my creed.”

Thomas claimed the cashier was “perplexed” by his request and yelled at him to take his items and leave.

In a telephone interview Wednesday, Thomas said, “It’s pretty simple. They treated me really bad because I told them it was against my creed.”

…The sacker, Aaron Menefee, said he thought Thomas was just kidding around.

“The first time he said it, I thought he was joking,” Menefee said. “Then he just kept repeating it.”

Menefee said once he realized Thomas was serious, he called for someone else to sack the groceries, at which time Menefee went to another part of the store…
When Thomas returned two days later, he noticed the same black man would be sacking his groceries, so he again requested the “Negro” not handle his groceries, according to the lawsuit.

This time, Langston was there. He called police to serve Thomas a criminal trespass warning. While waiting for the police, an employee locked the doors, and the lawsuit claims Thomas was “unlawfully restrained.”

Thomas said Langston broke the law the night he locked him in the store.

“We were closing, and I don’t know of a business that doesn’t lock their doors when they close. It keeps more people from coming in,” Langston said.

Thomas said he doesn’t understand why he had to deal with the same situation twice.
“My question is, why after I told them how I felt and that it was against my creed did this negroid try to impress himself upon me and try to handle my groceries again.” Thomas said…

Thomas said he is going forward with his complaint because Langston has no right to stand against what he believes in.

“If he wants to stand in opposition of who I am, then we are going to go forward with this here thing,” Thomas said.

Warner: 'Tribal' votes
http://www.trinidadexpress.com/news/Warner___Tribal__votes-188143551.html

United National Congress (UNC) chairman and National Security Minister Jack Warner has said the people of Tobago voted on the basis of "tribal instincts" and the fear that a "Calcutta" ship was coming.

In a statement issued yesterday in his capacity as UNC chairman, Warner said: "The results of the THA (Tobago House of Assembly) election reflect how palpable the notion of fear among the African population can be. With very little to show from a party they have supported; a party that has neglected and overlooked them, Tobagonians still chose to remain with their political abusers."

Warner said all the People's National Movement (PNM) had to do was "resort to their age-old tactic of instilling fear that some other group would take away the little they had, and the tribal instincts did the rest".

Noting that there was nothing to show for the $22 billion spent by the PNM THA, Warner said the PNM did not seek nor did not have to seek to show Tobagonainss how much they gave to Tobago.

He said the PNM did not have to sell any vision of a better life for Tobagonians. "Their theme was simply that 'a Calcutta ship' was coming for them and so they needed to stand in defence of Tobago. That was it. Fear trumped a better future," Warner stated.

"It is the same reason why Laventille, with so little given by past PNM administrations, would yet support the party regardless. The tribe is all they have been convinced is needed to be protected," he said.

Warner said the task of "emancipation from mental slavery" is large. "How can we get them to understand that the appeal to tribal instincts alone with nothing else in the offing is not in their best interest? How can we encourage them to look for more from their leaders? How can we inspire their self-determination?" he said.

He said the time had come for introspection on "how we are perceived". He said there was a need to unite people against those "who do not represent them, but imprison them by using fear and tribalism even in this day and age when a black man, with the name Barack Hussein Obama, has just been inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States...

"It is time for us to revisit how we achieve the liberation of our people from the insularity they have been captive to, for far too long. We are all in this together. Good luck Tobago and congratulations to all the winners," he said.

Congress of the People chairman Carolyn Seepersad-Bachan, speaking in a telephone interview last night, said she did not think Tobagonians voted on the basis of race.

She said it was more an issue of the Tobago Organisation of the People maintaining a separate identity while being part of the People's Partnership coalition.

She said Tobago had always demonstrated it would vote for a party that would support its autonomy and would not compromise its interests. "I don't believe it was an issue of race. It was an issue of identity," she said

Superb Superblue

By DARCEL CHOY and STEPHON NICHOLAS Tuesday, January 22 2013

http://www.newsday.co.tt/carnival_2013/0,172367.html

FIVE-TIME International Soca Monarch Austin “Superblue” Lyons, veteran chutney star Drupatee Ramgoonai and Rodney “Benjai” Le Blanc had a massive crowd of thousands chanting their names after giving incredible performances on Sunday night in the Soca Monarch semi-finals at the Arima Velodrome in Arima.

Performing in tenth position in the Power Soca Category at about 11.15 pm, Superblue had the massive crowd going wild even before he stepped on stage. As horns, at the beginning of his song “Fantastic Friday” blared, the cheers for “Super” grew louder and as he appeared screams could be heard and flags waving.

With members of 3 Canal backing him up, Superblue gave a great performance, an improvement from his other performances for this year, which is his return to active performance after a 13-year hiatus. He danced across the stage and did his usual microphone tricks to the delight of the crowd. Most spectators were seen jumping up and down from the front of the stage to all the way to the back of the stands. As he sang the line, “water and powder”, powder and water could be seen being thrown in the air by a spectator. At the end of his performance the crowd chanted “Super” for several minutes even while one of the emcees came on stage to introduce the next performer.

Backstage, people were seen wiping tears with some saying his performance was pore-raising and they expressed confidence that Superblue would make a return to the finals of the Soca Monarch competition.

Also putting in a good performance was Neil “Iwer” George who sang in position number one. Declaring he had some “unfinished business”, the three-time Monarch needed no backup dancers or props to do what he does best, asked the crowd to jump and put their hands up for the Carnival which they duly obliged.

Speaking to Newsday after his performance, Iwer - the runner-up in the Power category for the last two years - admitted that he is unsure of his chances this year. Also impressing was last year’s “bucket man” Swappi who again brought the water to cool the heat at the Velodrome in his rendition of “Chaos”. Encouraging the crowd to wet him down, Swappi was in no mood “for chupidness”.

There were also good performances from Devon Matthews (Start the Party), Skinny Fabulous (Monster) and Destra (Carry On) who - perhaps inspired by seeing Superblue return - climbed a scaffolding before gyrating to the approval of her fans.

Earlier, in the Groovy Category Drupatee Persad who performed in position number 17 with her song ‘Indian Gyal’, really had the crowd’s attention. Although there was a deafening feedback from the microphone, that did not stop the veteran artiste from giving a great performance. She gave her signature “Weeeeee!” and showed off her dancing skills which the crowd enjoyed. Before leaving the stage she asked the audience to support her in the Chutney Soca Monarch semi finals on Saturday.

Rodney ‘Benjai’ Le Blanc sent the crowd in a frenzy with his performance of ‘Feter’. Benjai walked on stage with a school bag on his back and hyped up the crowd as he sang. Close to the end of the performance, Benjai took off the school bag, placed it on the stage and took out a bottle of Cranberry Juice and drank from it. He then took out a bottle of scotch and poured it on his head, he then proceeded to drink from the bottle and the crowd screamed and started chanting his name. Benjai with scotch dripping from his face, started to dance as he sang, “I is a feter” before walking off the stage.

Other artists who gave great performances included Destra Garcia who boldly stated that since “Bunji pull out, the monarch is mine.” She was referring to the decision made by Ian ‘Bunji Garlin’ Alvarez and his wife Fay Ann Lyons-Alvarez to remove themselves from the competition because of issues with the contract.

Denise ‘Saucy Wow’ Belfon’s dancing skills as the ‘Wining Specialist’ had the crowd’s eyes fixated on her throughout her entire performance. At the end, she assured the audience they will see her in the finals on Carnival Friday.

The show moved smoothly despite technical difficulties during some of the performances. It was expected to begin 6 pm and the first performance began at about 6.15 with the Groovy competition ending at about 10 pm and the power ending at about 2.15 am.

Housing Minister, HDC boss defend $5m contract to Ish's daughter
By Anna Ramdass anna.ramdass@trinidadexpress.com

Neisha Galbaransingh, director of Riverside Enterprises Ltd, was awarded a $5 million contract for the rehabilitation of a car park at Maloney Gardens through a fair and square competitive bidding process, Housing Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal and Jearlean John, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) managing director, both said yesterday.

Galbaransingh, daughter of former United National Congress (UNC) financier Ishwar Galbaransingh, is listed as one of the directors of Riverside Enterprises Ltd according to documents obtained under the Companies Act.

On Sunday, Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley raised concerns over the contract as he read to the audience of the People's National Movement (PNM) San Fernando West constituency conference, the letter of award from HDC to Riverside Enterprises Ltd.

"It wasn't something that went out for tender. Somebody sent a proposal to the HDC and it accepted the proposal for a car park at Maloney Gardens for $5 million," Rowley had said.

However, both John and Moonilal told the Express yesterday in separate telephone interviews that there was in fact a tender process and the lowest bidder was issued a letter of award.

John said proposals ranging from $5 million to $14 million were received and according to HDC rules—the contract must be awarded to the lowest tenderer—which was Riverside Enterprises Ltd.

"We follow the tender rules scrupulously, there is nothing wrong with the competitive process...if someone sent us an unsolicited proposal we would send it back because we do not respond like that, we follow the rules," said John.

John said the HDC's tenders committee had oversight of the process.

Moonilal said that he does not get involved in the day-to-day operations of HDC but he does know that there was a competitive tender process.

"These matters are within the purview of the HDC, it was done by competitive tender, the contractor was the lowest bidder and it was properly authorised by the board," said Moonilal.

Asked about the company's director Neisha Galbaransingh and concerns over her family ties, Moonilal responded "I am not sure of that, I don't know the name of the company...but even if it is, the person is not debarred from work...it is morally and legally wrong that someone be denied work in Trinidad and Tobago because of any relation,".

The Express obtained a copy of the letter of award from the HDC to Riverside Enterprises Ltd.

The letter, dated August 24, stated HDC has accepted the company's proposal for the rehabilitation of a car park at Maloney Gardens.

"You are now required to enter into formal contract with the HDC for the execution of these works. You are to produce evidence that you have properly effected Contractors' All Risk and Workmen's Compensation Insurance Policies together with any other insurances in accordance with your contractual obligations," stated the letter.

The letter stated that all works must be executed in accordance with the proposal as well as the specifications and general terms and conditions outlined in the contract documents.

"You are expected to perform the services with due diligence and excellence," stated the letter, adding that on provision of the requested instrument, no later than ten working days from the date of the award letter, a meeting would be held with HDC's divisional manager estate management who will give further instructions in respect of the award.

According to documents under the Companies Act, Riverside Enterprises Ltd with the address 15 Andrew Lane, Mausica Lands, was incorporated in March this year with two listed directors- Barbara Alexander whose occupation was listed as front office manager and Fidjy Chang who was named as executive assistant.

Another document, from the Registrar General's department, dated July 20, 2012 stated that Neisha Galbaransingh was appointed director of Riverside Enterprises Ltd. Her occupation was listed as university student.

That document states further that Alexander ceased to hold the position of director thereby leaving Chang and Neisha Galbaransingh as the two directors of the company. Calls to Neisha Galbaransingh's phone yesterday were not answered.

Black camerawoman ‘not surprised’ by peanut pelting at the RNC

The CNN camerawoman who was reportedly the victim of racially-motivated taunting on the floor of the Republican National Convention is speaking out about her ordeal.

“I hate that it happened, but I’m not surprised at all,” Patricia Carroll, 34, told Maynard Institute blogger Richard Prince. Prince’s blog addresses issues of racial diversity in journalism.

“This situation could happen to me at the Democratic convention or standing on the street corner,” she added. “Racism is a global issue.”

According to reports, Carroll was pelted with peanuts by a couple GOP convention attendees while covering the proceedings. She was allegedly told, “This is how we feed animals.”

CNN acknowledged that an incident took place and the RNC removed the two individuals who were allegedly responsible.

“Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior,” convention spokesman Kyle Downey told The Hill. “Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated.”

For her part, Carroll, who is a 34-year-old Alabama native, says this kind of behavior is often spurred by a lack of diversity.

“This is Florida, and I’m from the Deep South,” said Carroll. “You come to places like this, you can count the black people on your hand. They see us doing things they don’t think I should do.”

She then pointed out that “there are not many black women” at the RNC.
“I can’t change these people’s hearts and minds,” Carroll added. “No, it doesn’t feel good. But I know who I am. I’m a proud black woman. A lot of black people are upset. This should be a wake-up call to black people…. People were living in euphoria for a while. People think we’ve gone further than we have.”

Race incident sees Republican convention expulsions

http://news.yahoo.com/race-incident-sees-republican-convention-expulsions-155400054.html?_esi=1

Two people were ejected from the Republican National Convention when they threw nuts at a black CNN camera woman and said "this is how we feed animals," the network said Wednesday.

"CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum" on Tuesday, the opening day of a gala at which former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney will accept his party's nomination to challenge President Barack Obama in November's election.

"CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment."

Several witnesses observed the exchange, CNN reported, and convention security personnel immediately removed the two people from the forum.

The convention confirmed the incident in a statement late Tuesday.

"Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated," organizers said.

The incident is surely not what Republicans wanted 10 weeks out from the election. Romney has struggled to attract African American voters as well as Hispanics, and he is also on the wrong side of the gender gap, with polls consistently showing women voters preferring Obama to Romney.

Current TV journalist and talk radio host David Shuster first tweeted about the incident Tuesday night.

"GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying 'This is how we feed animals,'" Shuster posted on Twitter.
