One of these days we will get some even reporting in the media as it relates to school football.

So far on the sports news highlights I see one 10sec clip of Naps playing PVille (I think), but they always showing highlights of the North and East zones.  Don't even talk about the Central zone...even worse for reporting.

Pres captured the South zone with a game in hand and they wrote six lines...primarily about the stats.  St. Anthony's captured the North Zone and the two dailies carrying a ball by ball commentary about the game.

 :cursing:

Good video...although at first I thought it was advertising some foreign act that coming to T&T.

Baba from Town...ah tink John John area, there abouts.
Wow! i wonder where the accent came from?

I know he was living in St. Joseph up to a couple years ago...not sure if still there these days.
Maybe the accent come from working with the foreign coaches, foreign based players, foreign courses...and of course...foreign games  ;D

Ramlogan: I was not aware

Story Created: Oct 20, 2012 at 10:54 PM ECT
(
Story Updated: Oct 20, 2012 at 10:54 PM ECT )

When he made his allegations of wrongdoing against the THA and Chief Secretary Orville London in the Senate, Attorney General Anand Ramlogan said he was "not aware" that legal advice was sought on the matter from Hamel-Smith and Company, and that the acting President had signed off on the matter.

"I was not aware, that's why (tomorrow) morning the Minister of Finance will write to Mr London, with the hope that he will make a full disclosure of all the relevant documents.

"He will request certain critical information pertaining to the transaction," the AG said yesterday.

He added that the delay in contacting London was due to the fact that Finance Minister Larry Howai was tied up in the Parliament up until last Friday.

"Thus far, Mr London has not really disclosed the documents of the transactions to the Ministry of Finance and we want to make sure we have all the relevant information before proceeding further with the matter," he explained.

"The THA Chief Secretary claimed that he has nothing to hide and in the public interest it is hoped that he will make full disclosure to the Minister of Finance," Ramlogan added.

Tomorrow as well, Ramlogan said the Finance Minister will write to Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard, acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams and the Integrity Commission on the matter.

"We want to make sure we have all the information," he said.

Last Wednesday in the Upper House, Ramlogan said he had already referred the matter to the three for action.

Notice any similarity with the AG's comments and his other two loquacious peers ?
...and I'm paraphrasing here...

Jack : I HAVE instructed the police to not to release any statistics on murders.....
Jack : I want to state categorically that I never instructed the police to withold any stats on murders....

Anil : What I have here is the only document received by the The Ministry of Sport a statement from Tony Harford, which mentions using funds up to $5.6M...where the rest of the money gone ?
Anil (in the same document...)  This document also shows Mr. Harford paid himself $0.9M...himself paid himself. (The funny thing is that 0.9M was only disclosed in the final statement:-\

steups this is trinis being smarter......say what a win is win....but dey should call dat off
Not call it off, but took ah break and allow the field to drain bc after the rain the field drained off nice and the ball was moving smooth again.

I find so too.  What are rules regarding temporarily suspending a game on account of bad weather/field/playing conditions etc ?

Ent he is the same one who changed the gov't lawyers in the case against Ish and Steve....

Dese unfortunate sequences of events making it seem like dis poor unlucky fella have some kinda sinister motives and hand in dis whole saga. De poor fella eh even no expert in criminal law..how he go know all dem so called loophole? Obviously steve and ish lawyers have a very good obeah man...or real good friends with max richards and ting to know this was signed and proclaimed on Aug 31...to reach in the court bright and early monday morning to start dis up.

Poor Anand.

It really baffles me to think that he could say the thing was published on the same day it was supposed to have been proclaimed  :banginghead:

But I not blaming the AG for letting the cat out the bag...Volney is the man who was drinking champagne with Ish in his hotel in Tobago the same time the Act was being proclaimed.

This gov't have a way of changing lawyers all willy-nilly.  Remember the AG changed the state lawyers who were fighting Ish and Steve's extradition case....and they lost that one.

But I can't understand something...is Winston Dookeran...his former COP leader and MoF who hired the first set of lawyers anyway.

And it is reported in the legal circles that the AG have his own clique when it comes to getting gov't briefs.  So wtf he talking about sharing up the thing now.

I wonder if he when he was building his house, if he fired the initial contractor midway thru the construction and hired another contractor...based solely on the grounds that he giving other contractors an opportunity to "eat ah food" ?

I know if the money was coming out of their own pockets they woulda think twice before deciding to change lawyers after hundreds of thousands of documents already filed in the case.

pardners,
I looked at the clip and I find it hard that they played football in that rain, that must have affected both teams and as yuh pointed out men trying to pass the ball on the ground in such heavy conditions, could be inexperience as you say.I eh complaining because in conditions like that  anything could happen, sometimes match officials can't see what's happenning.

Yuh sure right.  I myself was wondering why the official didn't suspend the game, because the field would have been considered dangerous for play at that time, and the welfare of the players and officials should have been taken into consideration.  Not to mention they said there was also lightning and thunder (not sure if was only before the game or also during the 'storm').

I had hoped that we beat Anguilla at least 8-0 but they went 2 better,it was also nice to see that our defence wasn't caught napping for the 90 minutes of the match which usually happens. This is the same team that was beaten 2-0 and 4-1 respectively by St.Kitts and French Guyana, that result says something and it feels good.

Not sure if it was inexperience of playing in them conditions or what, but from the lil clip, I see plenty men trying to run with the ball and make ground passes in two inches of water.

What happening with men like Boucard, Jake Thompson, et al.  Now Jlloyd out of the English leagues.  Like is only Birchall still fighting up with Galaxy

Pardners, have you been following the way the special advisor, Camps, TTFF,etc been running football since 2006. How much international practice games they arranged so that the team can bond and  gel for real international games.

I wasn't referring to internationals...I was referring to their respective club careers after playing with T&T.  And I lumping Jlloyd in that group because he ent play no big football in T&T prior to migrating.

hmmm... why take off Daniel and Gay at halftime? Was Hutson Charles worried that they break his 89 team's record for largest win by a T&T team? Just saying...

That game was getting way too scrappy when them showers came down.  Whilst it was comical and made for good entertainment, I woulda hate to see any of our players pick up any serious injuries the way them other players was just going in hard with skate tackles.

I guess it gives some meaning to the term "raining goals"  ;D

ah yai yaiiii

fix dem!! the truth shall set you free... I gaining some respect for Watson

I reserve mine.....I respect no one in this current TTFF set up.  It eh have no money for he to spree with so he singing like a firetrucking canary.  When he tried to throw me and Weary out of the Stadium earlier this year (or was that late last year ?? ), he didn't firetrucking know the TTFF would be bankrupt a few months later so he have mouth now??

Fyah bun all ah dem.......

Last yr he try 2 put we out last yr.
Allyuh need tuh get over dat yes, the man was head of security and that was his job, maybe if i was head of security i would have regrettably done the same thing.

@ least watson trying, camps sat there like ah facking dumbell and take order for 25 fackin yrs without challenging ah thing, what ah waste he was!

Maybe Watson trying for real eh, but so far I haven't seen anything convincing as yet.  As the president he can't just sit there and use the excuse that TTFF has no money.  The fact that he caved when told to support Harold Taylor as the CFU nominee just indicates to me that he still living in Jack's shadow.  It is admirable that he has finally found his voice to lend support to Harford otherwise he knows exactly where the TTFF would have ended up.

Is it that he is really the Marketing Manager or was his company contracted by the TTFF Marketing dept to handle the marketing for the TTFF in this rounds ?

Warner: I never made money from football.
T&T Newsday Reports.

Warner accussed the TTFF of mismanagement, in particular its president Tony Harford. He criticised Harford for taking a 15 percent fee on $11 million in funding, contrasting this with NIB’s 1.5 percent fee for billions in projects.

“I thought it was wrong to charge 15 percent,” Warner said. “I don’t care what anybody says it was wrong. And that has to change.”

Warner did not say whether fees should inversely relate to the scale of sums under management. He also criticised the rental of a property at Anna Street, Woodbrook, for $46,000 a month. He said he, and his family, housed the TTFF rent free at Dundonald Street for four years.

Who get it wrong...the reporter or Warner ?  ???

PS. Stacy Roopnarine in my estimation the is most beautiful member of Parliament in the history of Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Indeed. However she get married recently.....lucky fella.

Words from her former fiance...she and he was going down good good good.  The fella holding REAL paper eh...he is a HR consultant and businessman.  He bought a car for her whilst they were dealing...before she became a minister.  When she became a minister, up comes the first parliament meeting...she asks him to give her a ride to the meeting.  He asks why doesn't she drive her own car, but she say she ent feeling to drive.  He, in his Mercedes Benz, pulls up home by her and she opens the back door and sits in the back seat. ::)  He lil confused but she give him some cock and bull story and he let it slide.  He drops her off at the meeting and she asks him to come back and pick her up at a certain time...loud enough for bystanders to hear.  When he returns at the appointed time, she again sits in the back seat.  He said that was the beginning of the end of their relationship.

Anil: Harford paid himself over $.9m
Minister cites 'discrepancies' in TTFF books
By Joel Julien (Express).

A financial statement totalling 5,611,933.25 million were submitted creating a statement of expenditure difference of 5,388,066.75 which is yet to be submitted by your organisation," Roberts said as he read the letter.

Ent Harford has been saying for the past couple months that since January this year they sent the complete financial statement to the PS ?

Both he and Lisana were interviewed by Andre Baptiste and he explained that he sent two statements to the PS...one last year midway through the campaign and the other in January 2012 showing total expenditures with copies of receipts and invoices etc to back up the statement.  The MoS never got back to them and claiming that he hasn't accounted for 5.3M.  Lisana jump in and said words to the effect that something have to be wrong with any organisation that missing 5.6M for a whole 8 months and chose not to do anything about it.

Again i ask, did harford sever ties with the TTFF and MOS, as to say, he's no loner involved in our football?

He was on I95 yday and he said that he will continue to work with coporate so that the private sector will get involve. he good I would not touch football with a 10 ft pole.

Harford wouldn't learn nah.  His love for sport and country whilst admirable, will get a serious test when it comes to dealing with this TTFF and the current Minister Of Sport.

I say we overs...

Alyuh putting effort in a Govnt that doh give 2 shit about we, a Football federation that skin open we kakahole umpteen times and a bunch of players who doh give two arse neither.

Because some of them same players we going and fight up and sacrifice to give money to represent us... going and come and stroll on the field, not tackle, coast, point etc.

We are not a belley and badmind nation.

I woulda give money to see somebody like Birchall come and run he tail off for T&T...I not giving no money to see Keon Daniel coast on no field.

I rather we not go... as opposed to sending a half ass squad who go get licks from some small island side.
