Bahrain's last home games:

0-0 draw vs Iran
0-1 loss vs Japan
2-3 loss vs communist Korea
0-0 draw vs Uzbekistan

2 goals scored in 4 home games, concede 4.

Go T&T!

If that makes you feel better.. Good ;D

You also beat Mexico 2-1 in your last game.  What happened on the 12th :rotfl:

Today is a whole new ball game that will seperate the Bahraini men from the Trini boys.  It is a do or die situation.

Hopefully they find Bottle and Spoon!

This was sourced from the TV6 News...

They are being treated exactly the same way you treated us in Port of Spain.  The idiots at TTFF forgot that there will be a second leg and what goes around comes around.  Enjoy your 5 balls.  5 is better than 2 boys.  Go buy some balls!!!

I like your team, but what you were unable to acheive at home you will not acheive away from home.  Be sure of that.  T&T will not win today.  You will be playing against a team that is fighting to get to the WC and proved that it wants it more that T&T.  There will be 40,000 fans shaking the stadium and fireworks are set for before and after the match. Bahrain will only add a win to its acheivement of Port of Spain and go on for further glory.

Good luck in 2010 ;D ;D

De man is a shithound. He had a right to come out and punch the cross that they scored on. I used to play keeper and every keepers knows that anything coming into your 6 yard box you must come out and punch. De man doh command the defence. And he get real lucky they aint put 4 in he ass. They had real chances, thank god they not accurate.

I say SHAKA must play wednesday. What all ya think.

He was kinda slow.  If our shots were accurate we would have had at least 2 more goals.

allyuh think dem fellas can handle that drastic change of time zones? ???

Iv been to and from the U.S. to Bahrain in one go many many times.  Adjustment when going to your zone takes 2 days, but going from your time zone to ours,  you lose a day, and it takes at least 5-7 days to adjust to the time change.  The worst thing is that you would be up all night and sleeping during the day.  Very tough for both sides.  We had a few players that did not travel to T&T just to be utilized in game 2.  At least we will have 3 players that were not taken on the trip to T&T. Two defenders and one midfielder.

Football / Re: What do you all think of Carlos Edwards?
« on: November 13, 2005, 09:18:12 AM »
RIGHT NOW IT IS A CONFUSION AS TO WHETHER BIRCHALL SHOULD TAKE CARLOS'S PLACE BECAUSE BIRCHALL IS BY FAR THE BETTER DELIVERER HOWEVER CARLOS IS FAR BETTER ON HIS FEET SKILLWISE WHICH ALLOWS HIM TO GET FREE BUT WHEN HE IS READY TO PUT THE CROSS IN IT IS POOR.....THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE IS NOT A REGULAR WINGER FOR HIS CLUB IN ENGLAND, HE IS A DEFENDER SO HE IS NOT SPECIFICALLY TRAINED OTHER THAT IN T&T TO CROSS BALL LIKE HOW BIRCHALL CROSSES THE BALL. BIRCHALL IS A NATURAL WINGER ,,,,,
IF ONLY THOSE TWO COULD COMBINE INTO ONE PERSON DEN WE WOULD HAVE A BOSS WINGER

Good suggestion! Why dont you pass that idea to Beenhakker? :rotfl:

We better in de air than them...we had six men in de box and they had two.

And de bitch still was allowed to get his head to the ball.

And the guy that scored was a defender in that game. Says a lot about your defense.

latas said he was a bit jetlagged so maybe thats a reason and a 16hour flight to bahrain isn't going to help
but i think that the whole country not just the players had a sense of over confidence a if we are already there and i am not excluding myself i thought our odds were great but we need to realised we have to work to get there

The smartest thing I have heard in this forum in a long time.  I'v been trying to tell you guys that you must respect our opponent, but all you guys were talking about is what you will wear in Germany and who will be in your group :rotfl:  Wake up before its too late.  Now they T&T fans are playing the blaming game.

Sometimes they blame Bahrain and sometimes they blame the ref.  Sometimes they stess on how sh*t the Bahraini team is.

Guys get it thru your minds. Your guys messed up regardless of the above.  Your players were the main reason for this losing draw in T&T.

T&T was lucky for Birchill.  That was a goal to talk about.

Football / Stern John Isolated
« on: November 13, 2005, 08:49:30 AM »
Bahraini midfielders isolated Stern John from his main supply routes which is mainly York.  He was completely incompetent and was made useless.  He touched the ball only once in the whole 1st half.

Apart from T&Ts inidividual skills, they must use their brains.  Players lacked smart plays on the pitch and looked funny running around the pitch dribbling but going nowhere.  If this continues T&T has no chance in the next game.

Bahrain has a normal team, but implemented what they were told and got what they wanted, and thats what counts at the end.

Good luck to all on Wednesday.

The ref was fine...both teams had a substandard game. The only thing you could fault the ref for was not taking swifter action with all the ridiculous rolling around and time wasting by the Bahrain players towards the end of the match.

Guys havent you heard of stoppage time?  If the Bahraini players are on the ground, its not time taken away from the game!  So stop looking for lousy execuses and focus on your next game.  T&T messed up its home field advantage game whether you like it or not, but its not over yet.

We are going to Germany next Wed  ;D

Just wish us luck   and  work harder in the future..... Your team is not good enough
to stop us and we will have a lot to show you back home..... :)

Chaoooo

Don't get ahead of yourself man.  You are acting like Trini fans before the game.  Its not over yet, and Bahrain will play for the win like they did against the Uzbecks at home.

Lets be realistic.  It will not be an easy game, but we are fovorites now and have an upper hand, but we will have to throw that game behind us now and think of Wednesday.

Football / Re: Yellow Card Questions
« on: November 13, 2005, 05:25:56 AM »
Bahrain received I think 2 yellow cards in the game. Are any of these players their key stars? Will they be suspended?

I know at end of day we play who ever shows up, but just curious. Thanks

Both will be suspended and both are key starts, but its not too bad because we have a whole set of subs that could fill in for them with no problems.  One was in defense (I would rank him the 3rd best of of the 5 defenders) and a midfielder

The tactics of the 2nd game will change because of this but will not affect the whole team performance.

Football / Re: Can people stop acting as if TnT is out of it?

I glad we have to score in Bahrain, because imagine if we had win this one and want to go there and play for a draw?

Absolutely agree 100%. Playing for a draw is a guarantee of failure. Cometh the hour, cometh the man - TnT will win in Bahrain!

T&T will not win in Bahrain.  A team that had no spirit in front of a packed home stadium in T&T, will not have the spirit with 36000 Bahraini supporters shaking the national stadium.  Itll b dooms day guys! 1989 all over again.  By now you guys should be used to such failure.

The 12th showed who wanted to be in Germany more and it was not T&T.

Football / Re: u still belive that T&T could make it to Gremany 2006?
« on: November 13, 2005, 05:12:59 AM »
I'm positive we can still pull through. Bahrain better defend as if their lifves depended upon it because we're coming all out. We have nothing to lose (figuratively speaking) because every goal we score will we counted as two. If Bahrain can hold us to a draw in TnT we should be able to AT LEAST do the same. I was slightly disappointed that we didn't win this match but we still have an excellent shot at still making it to the World Cup.

Honestly....answer me this Toppa.

We have a game AT HOME against a team of somewhat unknown quality.  This is a game that would be a MAJOR STEP in fulfilling life long dreams for all of our players.

So explain to me how 9 out of 11 players could sleep walk through an entire 90 minute match with a crowd that was galvanized from the start and everything in our favour?

How, if we had all of these conditions in our favour and we couldn't muster up the enrgy to put in a fighting performance AT HOME, are we supposed to "come out fighting" in Bahrain?

I cyah figure it out so anything you can come up with I would be interested to hear.

Thanx

Palos, sometimes that happens. With the exception of Whitley and Edwards we didn't play well. Maybe they were nervous, or maybe it was just one of those days but it happened tonite. I think Wednesday you will see a more focused warrior team playing with purpose. If there are any pluses from this match it is that we know that Bahrain cannot handle dribblers in the penalty area. Carlos Edwards and Whitley at times ran them ragged. There right side is their weak link and we need to play Cornell Glenn against them. His pace will cause their defense all sorts of problems. They cannot defend against players with dribbling skills. They gave away alot of freekicks as a result. The other point is we need more shots on goal. The keeper clearly is not as good as ours.

Now for our defense, we gave up a goal that should not have happened. Our man marking needs to be improved, and our back four needs to play a bit higher up.

I partly agree with you but dont forget that the pitch conditions aslo contributed in making it difficult of the side defenders.  This will be less of a problem for us in Bahrain.

I think Beenhakker played out all his cards yesterday.  Bahrain will be coming out with a new formation and probably 3 different players with Hubail starting off the game this time.  Our coach did a great job in confusing T&T because our guy that scored played defense but he is actually a forward and last years league top scorer.  He is fast and comes forward on the sides with no marker.  He could have caused some damage yesterday.  Anyway, he did what he does best yesterday. He scored! Thats what counts.  The attackers were marked and defender scored.  That pure smart.

We over-powered Bahrain pretty much the entire game. Its unfortunate that we couldn't complete our scoring chances, but as Beenie already stated, this wasn't our best game.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: DOMINATED???!!!  What game were you watching?? The only T&T played that played football was Latapy.  The rest were help up in their positions.  Our defense was solid, and nothing went through accept the distant shots that our goalkeeper kept out (apart from the goal).

If you found that your team dominated you r kidding yourself.

Based on how many times your players were shaken out of their flipping shoes and how many times their ass hit the grass...especially from Carlos Edwards...we gonna whip your ass. We did not play our best and you did not punish us. You will pay. Your players do not do very well when we ran at you...although I must give the Bahraini players credit for intercepting passes and their reading of the game. On an individual basis the skill level is low for the Bahraini players. That's why you have to fakle and lie down in the grass like sheep forever. Go Ahead put 11 men in the box. We can bomb you from the deep...watch out. You guys have no damn shame.

The grass was wet and slippery.  The Bahrain game will be an even better one for us.  Don't count on winning here T&T.  Watch our performance against the Uzbecks in Bahrain.  Although scoreless, we missed a lot of chances and dominated the game.  You will be in a worse position than the Uzbeks.  Its our bridge game to the World Cup.

Bahrainis, how did you think your team played?  Is this how you normally play?

No.  They played up to 60% of their ability in my opinion, but they had a mission of getting at least something from the away game and they succeeded, and thats what counts at the end of the day.  Both teams have one game ahead to make it to Germany.

Do you think it matters if you played well or not at this point more that the result matters?

In my opinion, Bahrain played for the result and got what they wanted.  We will not complain about their performance because they gave us the result we wanted.

Keep lying down on the ground...see if it will get you into Germany. FIFA should make a new rule to give man red card for dat shit...no different than when man used to be able to pass back to his own goalie. Shameful lack of sportsmanship from Bahrain. Complete sissy football.

This is a war to get to Germany by hook or by crook.  You guys are trying to look for excuses for your weak performance.  We will do what it takes to get to Germany.  1st thing we got is the away result, and that was what we wanted and planned for.  See us in Germany.

Guys guys slow down.  I would love to hear your views on Bahrain after this match.....  Before then stop talking from your behinds about our team.  This is a group game that requires team players with skill and brains.  Your team has individual skill. Period.  We have the team play and the brains.  The formula will be clear today.  T&T does not have what it takes to beat Bahrain.
