Bahrain is great as a team but T&T has better individual skilled players but bad team coordaination.   That and the age factor is why you see T&T pros in the epl etc.

What has T&T achieved as a team? (not more than what Bahrain has acheived).

Yes you have good players but if they are not untilized correctly, they are useless.  T&Ts last 3 games were good as far as team work is concerned, but not better nor at par with Bahrain.

bahrain is all talk, wat de hell dey know about football? dey ent know shit about football, dey now start 2 get big game

We are the talk of your town and T&Ts worst nightmare.  This is where T&T will stop as Bahrain advances.  You will lose because you are underestimating your opponent.  Big mistake.

Guys this guy is obviously a kid.  Don't bother yourself with his comment (racial or not).  If he was a real man let him say his name and meet up with one of your supporters here in the 2nd leg and say it in his face.

BahrainHubail..... Shame on you!  Bahrainis are not known to be racial people.  Their are many rude people here I admit, but you are in their forum and you have to respect everyone here.  I suggest that you apologize for that stupid comment.

Whats negative?  The other opinion.  I thought that T&T is a democratic nation.  Freedom for all!

Its true have not scored as many goals as T&T in recent games, but T&T conceded more goals that we did.  I mean Guatemala was able to bury your goalie with 5 goals in one game.  That says a lot about your defense.  Mexico in the last game underestimated T&T and thats why they lost.  T&T played good too but were lucky with one goal that kept their hopes alive.

The game will be a strong battle no doubt.  T&T has a number of good (individual) players no doubt, but as a team I think Bahrain with the return of Hubail will be a very strong opponent.

now that sounds more sensible I just cant see you winning in Trinidad and I honestly think it will be very difficult for TT to win in Bahrain

90% of our wins in the last 3 years have been either in tournements or out of Bahrain!  As wierd as it sounds I am counting on a win in port of spain more than in the home game.  Lets wait and see ;)

Bah simply better,
Let me ask you a question and try an answer with your brain not your heart do you seriously think both games will be big wins for Bahrain ?

Big as in important wins.  Even if I admitted that T&T has been lately a better team than Bahrain, I really do believe that our past troubles are over, and this will be a fight to the finish.  I am a very realistic guy.  Not once in my talk did I try to prove what a great team Bahrain is.  Both teams did not deserve to quailify directly so the 2 weak teams will be playing eachother to catch that one seat to Germany.

Niether Bahrain or T&T are Brazil or Argentina.  They are in definate reach of eachother and it could go both ways.  People talk as if it was a game between Brazil and Bangladesh.  That would be a definite win for Brazil, but this coming game is going to be cool, strong and difficult to predict.

Football / Re: Spoke with a couple team members
« on: November 10, 2005, 07:29:29 AM »
Gents, I am representing my company at a conference in Crowne Plaza this week, and happened to run into the team on it's way to and from breakfast yesterday morning.

I spoke with a couple team members and the mood is unlike anything they have ever experienced before. They are like a pack of wild dogs that are caged and right outside the cage is one plate with a 16 ounce rib eye. If you ehn ketch d analogy, d rib eye is d match on saturday. They are seeing it before them and cannot wait to do some damage on the field. Sancho watch meh in meh eyes and say "dis is a big one yuh know killa!!"

The other noticeable thing was that as soon as Beenie reach down stairs, and was time to go to breakfast, all d man do is lift his two hands, palms facing up, and all man jack rise and walk to the restaurant. Was a thing of beauty to behold, because we all know how Trini's individualistic. But when i tell you team unity and harmony... was something to behold. I ehn just talking dat, i see it for myself. Down to the big 3 was in the mix.

Shaka kicksing off with Clayton and Kelvin... no one concerned about who starting, all the young fellas mixing with the older ones.

As usual you will always see Stern moving with Dwight and Latas, but on the whole, this team is a unit, ready for blood on saturday.

I getting ready to head to day two of meh conference, so if i see anything else or talk to them again, i will drop a few lines.

:nailbiting: :nailbiting: :nailbiting: :nailbiting: :nailbiting:  Im scared.

SMASH THEM......

I agree ! almost as bad as:

Team      MP W  D  L GF  GA Pts
Japan       6  5   0  1  9    4  15
Iran          6 4    1  1  7   3   13
Bahrain      6 1   1  4   4   7   4
Korea DPR 6 1    0  5  5   11  3

wow that would be 1 win 1 draw and 4 losses and then 1-1 and 0-0 so in the world cup playoffs by winning 1 game yes 1 game

Not a good record I agree, but Hubail to Bahrain i what York is to T&T.  Hubail did not play in the above games.  His return not only brings back to us Asia top scorer, but is also give inpiration and confirdence to the others.

So don't worry my friend the next 2 games will be big wins for us.   ;)

How about for the 2002 World Cup when Germany lost 1-5 to England in a qualifying game (at home too) and then made it to the final of the World Cup. DUH!!

GO WARRIORS!!!!!!

Good point but that was Germany.  T&T is not Germany.

If we qualify....

Will Truetrini sign a one day pact and make friend with Triniman?

Will KND first prediction come through?

Will Bimblast and StinPana come and say CONGRATS?

Will RF GENUINELY make a post and rate T&T without comparing it to something Jamaica did.

Will Bah Bah buller disappear forever?

Bring on d game?!
My name from now till next Wed is TURBO-TRINI!
I in the hyperdrive mode.

Why? Will you miss me if i do?

Football / Favorites again??
« on: November 09, 2005, 02:29:09 PM »
Favorites again??

T&T were favorites in 1989.  They were certain that they would beat or at least draw with the U.S. which hasnt been in the World Cup since 40 years back then.  The U.S. beat the odds and knocked T&T out, and shattered their dreams of qualification.

Today are those dreams greater?  If yes, why?

Everyone in T&T are talking about stats and polls and being favorites.  WAKE UP!  On the pitch all that talk means nothing.  Bahrain did not come here to allow a Carribean team to beat them and knock them out.  Our players promised to make T&T take another taste from that cup they tasted in 1989.  They should be used to the taste by now.

I really wish people here would be more realistic so that conversations here can actually make sense, and reflect the true importance of the next 2 games. :) :beermug:

man I wonder what Nakhid thinks when trinidad & tobago is qualified for germany, then I want to know hat he thinks.

you'll see

He had no faith in the T&T team he knew for years.  Even though he was fired, jumping boats at such a time shows that he has faith in our team and with his input, it will only make our job easier.  The man got insider info!  Thats priceless (in most cases) :beermug:

As for Kuwait and N. Korea, I think you have news of the 1980's. These teams have no wieght in the continent.

So if N. Korea has no weight in the continent, and they beat you 3-2, what does that say about Bahrain?
You seem proud to be beaten by a team that is no good.

That means nothing.  You got beaten by Guatemala 5-1. Does that say that you couldnt beat them the next time around?  You did. So past scores are never measure for speculation on future scores and performances.

Bahrain is unbelievably strong under preasure such as what the situation will be on the 12th.  The game will be tight. So buckle up guys.

This just in.

Andre Baptiste of I-95.5fm has put together a song called "Beat Bahrain". It's a combination of music and vocals from a bonafide singer (not sure who) and in-between you get excerpts from Andre's VERY EXCITABLE comentary during the TT/Mexico game. I will get a copy to Flex/Tallman and hopefully have it uploaded later today. As ANoTHER Andre would say...

Ah love it!!!@ AndreSamuel :}
