Stern need to visit Mother Cornhusk down in Mayaro and take a bush bath, Saturday he look like he was star struck, and did not know what to do since he was on de world biggest stage. He had de worst first touch of any player on de field that day.

No Indian ballers, black footballers and white coaches, plus white owners of dem clubs. I smell a conspiracy.

Come on now SSFL have nuff indian playing ball and de debe league, tarouba league back in de day had nuff indian teams. Plus Debe Utd had a lot of indian players. Why dey never progressed to the top leagues and national team is a mystery or may not be.

Which does lead me to wonder, why de winter olympics is a white dominated, ping pong and badmington, archery and shooting is asian dominated, swiming, diving, gymnastics etc is not dominated by blacks. We have had few black grand slam tennis players, Tiger may act black but he is not mandingo.

I guess that indians are not good sprinters or middle distance runners, so this bull sh*t explanation may justify what indians are not good ballers. Any sport that requires running or agility is black dominated.

It doh really matter though, to meh daughter Trinidad is a magical place. She is so happy to see so many different coloured faces, and to be in such a beautiful place. All ah we is one family. When TNT take de field, is all ah we dey representing. Even meh daughter.

heck, I just hope meh daughter have some kind ah footballing skills, she mother is a Korean and yuh see how dem play yesterday.

I use to think that all footballs were round, but that ball due to technology is supposed to be the most round ball ever.

One ah de other thing dey say was who to look out for was Birchall, it was along these lines " as soon as they found out he had trini roots dey rush him back to play for Trinidad."  No offence to Chris, we love him.

Dey never mention dat the Boss, Latas return was our turning point. Dey boast about Brian McBride, who he play for and how are dey away record, worst than dem relegated teams.

I agree Jeffers...

One thing dem and dey Jogo Bonito ass fail to note. Of all dem countries, we have over 1.3- 1.5 million people saying TNT all de way, Jogo Bonito dat.. Trinbago true and true.

« on: March 28, 2006, 10:54:45 PM »
Yes I will give to Yorke, he was caught on the M50 in a Ferarri Modena, and he does have a mansion. but his career is almost over and Ames still have the senior PGA tour to look forward to and he has a restaurant. Which says he will have money for a while. Plus if Ames keep winning look what Nike will continue to do with him.

De richest athlete in Trinidad and Tobago is Frankie Boodram, because he in Trinidad, jump high or low. Yorke, Ato (yuh still me hero of 1996) and Lara, will always have dey money in a foreign.

Who de hell say Leslie? Leslie Who???

Football / Re: Jan Steadman working for Trinidad and Tobago
« on: February 24, 2006, 10:57:10 PM »
I play for Jan in 1993, he's good but not good for national level. I left as he was about to start his legacy with Naps, de year he get them from senior grade back to championship. I also played under Louis Linton his predecessor, also a good coach. Jan has a great knowledge of de game, but I don't think that if by now his success has not lead him to any national level, it will ever lead him to it. Jan is a work horse and I will give him that, he can really develop a player as he did with me, but developing a team at a national level is a whole different game.

It was ato who help de national track teams get some decent uniforms too in 96 (latter part), prior to dat men had to run in rossi dat was running up your a@# all de time. Track team get hook up with bags, towels, bottles, hand towels, suits, socks, gear etc. That was reebok and even had Trinidad and Tobago written on it. Yuh felt like a big timer back then. It was like christmas, and yuh feel like a pro only waiting for your big contract to come through. I wish dey did give out free Oakleys but that was a hopeful dream.

He pull good strings in sports to make tings happen, I hope that he will do de same in politics.

(at a work shop in either Fatima or nat stadium, I remember he telling us he was winger back in de day and that he may have gone pro soccer) My memory is vague though.

Jahyouth- My bad bro, I should ah say that was the only Trini team I played against since I have been in this area.

Andre- nah de only indoor leagues that I have played in was Duburns Arena in Baltimore and de Soccer dome in Jessup. Mainly hispanic, american and Korean teams played in de leagues. Never in Virginia. I played with Maryland Mania a few times in that area, but that was over 6 years now.
