To be fair, by the end of this week we should have a fair idea of how this stock will continue to trade. I however maintain that the stock was priced too high when it entered the market.

Obummer: "Yawn, daft is a romney supporter...!"

Merkel: Daft face look like that black dude that did my neice Annette... from Stuttgart

Hollande: Oui, Oui, Oui... fish for all, thank zeee God's that I zeee not work for zeee fish. I will poach it and eatzzz it!

Dude on the End: No not a black man in Pro Bass Fishing now... remember what happened to Golf when tiger entered it...

I see fb leveling off at or around $12-$14.50 in the future..

facebook will fall down sooner or later and a new thing will take its place , remember Myspace?

Remember the Dot.Com bubble... what exactly does FB produce?

Let me get this right. FB earns its revenue from those little ads that show up on the page. Except that 60% of people NEVER click on the ads and only a small percentage click on an ad occasionally. Nobody trusts FB with their CC or bank information so they don't buy through the site and a large percentage use an ad blocking software so they don't see the ads at all. GM pulls it's ads because they are "ineffective" and other advertisers are starting to question the value as well.

$38 a share? Sounds pretty steep to me. Google or Apple might be a better choice.

Google is coming out with a "mind reading software" that will taylor your searching and surfing to "suit" you! I would go with Google...

Zuck and Co., (Sept., 2010) reportedly and rumored to have made over 6 bill (from the stimulus) for selling the info of individuals who use their social network to the DHS/DOJ/&DOD. Your messages or post are no longer deleted, but archived or hidden and their servers are easily accessed by for the gov't to use.

Bono's 90mil went to 1.3 bil but this is the risk you take with venture capitalism.

You never know now in business, Zuck is a friend of Obummer and thanks to Dubya, The Bushies, The Republican "There is no Establishment" Establishment, we have "too big to fail", a trend which this Administration has gladly continued....

I thought there would be at least a $20 jump in the stock price because of insane, overzealous investors... It has to be disappointing for Facebook employees as well. Now they just start the grind of being a public company and hitting quarter to quarter number targets. Not as much fun as the build up (but probably fun to be rich on paper). Unfortunately, I don't see a bright future and expect the valuation to plunge off a cliff in the next few months... Here's why: "Underwriters stepped in to support the company's shares at the IPO price, according to a person familiar with the matter. There were more than 30 banks involved in the deal."

So, basically, the game was rigged. Big investors came in and made buys above the trade price to inflate the value. In in-person auctions, this is called "shilling." I took heat from some pundits when I said that investing in the Facebook IPO was a poor idea given the fact that most IPO's lose steam and value pretty quickly after opening on the market . . . chalk this one up to a veteran of the dot.com boom (and subsequent bust) . . . I mean does anyone remember Palm? Getting on the purported ground floor of an IPO is usually the equivalent of fool's gold. Wait a few weeks even months until the pre-market hype subsides before you decide if you want to invest.

I own some land that borders West Virginia, from the Md side, along Garret State Forrest, and the youghiogheny river. I fly fish a lot in West Virginia from time to time, also got some good hunting buddies in W.V. also. I interact with W.V, on a regular basis!

Obummer will not win W.V. not because it's filled with racist redneck white hicks who hate him because he's black. He won't win W.V. because of the bureaucracy of Environmental Groups/Dept of Labor/Dept of the Interior/DNR/NLRB/MSHA and the EPA, which has collectively shut down coal mining in various parts of the state, and due to environmental emission standards has shut and presently shutting down many coal fired plants, where a lot of blue collar W.V.'ians has made their livelood. Last winter there was a shortage of coal, for people who heated their homes with coal, and had to do without. This is one of the poorest states in the Union and now you are killing their few sources of income. Do you expect them to vote for him? For solutions like Solyndra and Light Square?

Also W.V. has benefitted from the no growth, flat earth, tax em' democrats from Maryland. To plug every budget deficit Maryland's Politrickians and their governor Owe Malley's only solution is to raise taxes, on everyone and everything. Those who are fed up and could no longer bear maryland's burdensome and encroaching marxist laws like "plan maryland" moved either to Delaware, Virginia, PA or West Virginia where it's cheep for older retirees, and so a lot of marylanders moved there, vowing never to vote democrat, based on their intrusive and clepto-cratic attitude. After years of having your money taken from you to plug Md State deficits do you expect these former democrats to vote for more of the silliness that the Obummer administration proposes.... steups...!

Here's a quote from a W.V. Coal Union Boss

"The coal industry will suffer the same fate as Osama bin Laden under new climate regulations proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency, the head of the United Mine Workers of America said this week.

“The Navy SEALs shot Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan and Lisa Jackson shot us in Washington,” Cecil Roberts, president of the powerful union, said during an interview Tuesday on the West Virginia radio show MetroNews Talkline."

link http://thehill.com/blogs/e2-wire/e2-wire/219919-mine-union-chief-coal-industry-could-suffer-same-fate-as-osama-bin-laden

This has been the most deceptive administration and the most cleptocratic administration I have encountered doing business under, I'm glad that a lot of the contracts we had had transferrable grandfather agreements.

I use to think homosexuality was a choice till my cousin "came out". He's a prominent Dr in the US and an expert in his discipline, some even consider him a genius. I mean a doctor/scientist should be able to know the difference between born a certain way or choosing to be a certain way right. The dude is surrounded by some sweet med students/healthcare professionals all day long and if his "dick" eh getting hard for dem... then he's gay...! Then again my wife had a cocktail party where 2 doctors broke out in an argument over the issue of "being born or choosing" to be gay. One doctor made a clever argument saying that being gay cannot be natural, since gay sex is not natural, because a man's arse is not anatomically designed for penile penetration or reception.

If in the end these people love each other and function like you and me, then by all means, look at the pros and cons, consider the unintended consequences and allow them to marry...!

BHO is first and foremost a Politician: One in six of his bundlers is openly gay. Funds were drying up from this community. Every election cycle he had changed his views either for or against. In 1994 he supported same sex marriage, in 2004 he was against it, in 2006 against it, 2008 against it, 2008 post elections to 2010 evolving, 2010 he employed the first openly gay Maitre D at the White House. I'm sure his campaign/election team ran the numbers and felt that this was a secure way to go: He has the black vote (% wise the largest voting block opposed to same sex marriage) even if he took this open stance on same sex marriage, the majority would still vote for him. BHO has to make this elections about social issues and not his record.  :beermug:

I really felt the christians defending the bible could have articulated a stronger argument  :-\

May be we should be asking this dude  :rotfl:

“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy),” the president wrote. “Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.”

George Zimmerman to be charged in Trayvon Martin shooting, official says

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/george-zimmerman-to-be-charged-in-trayvon-martin-shooting-law-enforcement-official-says/2012/04/11/gIQAHJ5oAT_print.html

By Sari Horwitz, Wednesday, April 11, 1:56 PM

Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey plans to announce as early as Wednesday afternoon that she is charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.

It was not immediately clear what charge Zimmerman will face.

Martin, 17 and unarmed, was shot and killed Feb. 26 by Zimmerman, who said he was acting in self-defense. Police in Sanford, Fla., where the shooting took place, did not charge Zimmerman, citing the state’s “stand your ground” law.

Corey told reporters Tuesday night that she would hold a news conference about the case within 72 hours. A news release from her office said the event will be held in Sanford or Jacksonville, Fla.

Benjamin Crump, who is representing the Martin family, said this week that Corey’s office had asked where Trayvon’s parents would be each day this week. They arrived Wednesday in Washington for a civil rights conference organized by the Rev. Al Sharpton, where they are scheduled to speak.

The announcement of a charge against Zimmerman would come a day after Zimmerman’s attorneys withdrew from the case, citing their inability to contact Zimmerman.

Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig on Tuesday expressed concern about Zimmerman’s emotional and physical well-being, saying he has taken actions without consulting them. They also said they do not know where Zimmerman is.

“You can stop looking in Florida,” Uhrig told reporters. “Look much further away than that.”

Corey said Monday that she would not bring the case before a grand jury, which was expected to convene this week. She said her decision to forgo the grand jury should not be viewed as a factor in determining whether charges will be filed.

Corey has indicated in recent weeks that she might not need a grand jury to bring charges against Zimmerman.

The lawyers said they stand by their assertions that Zimmerman acted in self-defense when he killed the 17-year-old, who was unarmed, but they acknowledged that they formed their impressions without meeting Zimmerman.

I will start with a rumor

I have a marital connection to DC United ownership and I'm a season ticket holder. Now with that back ground, word is that Ben Olsen is looking to make Nick De Leon the future face of DC United and is pushing hard for him to make a US Senior Team appearance.

I've lost a lot of my trini accent but I still have the inability to properly enunciate my "th's"

Talk about Trini's loosing their accent, what about identity... A couple years ago the wife and I threw a party and one of our guest brought an Indian woman. Trini Indians are a bit different in appearance from India's Indians (no... not because our indians fail to bobble their heads when they speak) but some of the words she used in constructing her sentences were more or less trini... like "it have." Only trinis I know use this phrase, so I asked her which part of trinidad she from, she say she's from India... with faint hints of a trini accent.  :-\

The article leaves out some points: The emphasis by traditional chinese parents on marrying an "asian pretty boy" because if he had light skin, soft features, non calloused hands, well groomed etc, traditionally it would have meant that he came from a wealthy family/one with political connections or someone who spent all their lives in academia because he never had to to manual labor. Many chinese american girls ( or American Born Chinese aka ABC's) don't like the prized "pretty boys" because they view them as effeminate. Having lived within their traditional chinese lifestyle under their parents careful watch until highschool, they break out when they come to college, as they see it as a way to "explore!" A lot of white guys like asian women because they don't feel emasculated by them.

But really she went to Harvard for a philosophy degree or to bag a "doctor"....?

What is "our insane gun laws?"

they doh work. the proof is right there in your headlines. maybe back in the day, the cost/benefit for guns made more sense. technology change that. however, dey have a committed segment of americans that want to live in de past so things doh change.

They Don't Work? In 2008 the SOCTUS, struck down a ban on handgun ownership in the District of Columbia, amid fears by the ban supporters that death by gun violence would increase, it did not! In fact crime as reported my Chief of Police Cathy Lanier, went down (as of 2012), especially the number of home invasions. In 2010 neighboring Prince Georges County recorded 11 murders into 11 days in the new year, the 12 murder was a home owner killing and intruder... The police got there in 14 mins...! He killed the thief in seconds!

Who is this "committed segment of Americans?  Last check I got from the FBI data base was that "registered democratic women" made up 40% of the new purchases of guns for 2010/2011/2012...!

please include in your analysis gun deaths/accidents when junior find daddy/mommy's handgun.

Fool did Zimmerman find daddy or mommy's gun? Yes as a country we have more gun deaths than most countries but weighed against other countries were private guns are used to prevent certain types of crime, is a whole different story...!

dt, i don't know enough about this situation you cite above. did they expend resources clearing the streets of guns and ensuring guns could not get into their area before implementing this new gun law? probably not.

the seeds for american gun laws were laid long time ago and trayvon martin is its fruit. in de mean time work on your quick draw because if a tief get de drop on you, it doh matter what kind of guns yuh carrying. also, get a vest and wear it at all times[/b]. whether you like it or not, you are in an arms race with your fellow citizens.

by "committed segment" ah mean the NRA. yuh know, the ones that write your gun laws.

So Trayvon murder is a seed of our gun laws and not one man's over zealousness?

Doh worry about my quick draw or a vest...dat covered!
