London’s Soca artist Fakekou makes debut video for hit single Kick de Ball.

London’s freshest new soca artist Fakekou makes his debut video for his new hit single Kick de Ball. The first leg of filming of the video took place at The Fountain, 211Lower Clapton Road, London E5 (near Palace Pavilion formerly known as Dougies) on Thursday 16th February 2006. The venue was taken over by camera crews, true Trini supporters and video equipment.

The second location will take place at the Pre World Cup International Trinidad & Tobago Vs Iceland at Loftus Road, Queens Park Rangers Football Club on 28th February 2006 filming will start at approximately 18:00 hrs.
Kick de Ball is a musical celebration of Trinidad & Tobago’s qualification into the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The theme of the video is ‘Trini to the Bone’. Using Fakekou’s pulsating fusion beats of Hip Hop and Soca to take the viewer on a journey from party atmosphere to football frenzy whilst exploring costume, colour, and lots of soca dancing that is Trinbago.

Did he play in a Europian competition with Baovista?? Was it in the Champions league or UEFA Cup???
I think I remember seeing him when he was wit Baovista....
Anybody know??

Lincoln Phillips, we asking for Jan Steadman to become a member of your coaching staff with any of our national teams. He is well respected and carries a wealth of experience as a player and coach. He has more success than some of the coaches that coach our national teams. I am clearly not the only person that agree to this. Please give him a chance.

Respectfully,
Kingman!!

I second that!! at least as a youth coach

doc... I only know him as a coach and he like ole talk an ting but he sees football for what it is.... and he definietly ent no politician...he could be harsh which is part of the reason he not liked by TTFF...

Barca play some good ball.... I fine the red to Del Horno was a harsh call though... a yellow would have been fair...
but Messi....lawwwwwd.. that youte dread to bad...
Eto redeem heself wit a descent goal for an otherwise quiet presence on the field...

I hadda give Chelsea some props fuh come in out for the win in the second half with a man down.... Robben was gettin on..an Terry... is a real hard luck he score an own goal from an otherwise great performance...

I really ent supporting any of dem teams... but it was an entertaining match and it probably be more interesting in the Camp Nou...

I feel Real will bounce back in London too.
Hopefully they play to their full potential.

Players Real make de mistake in letting go:

Makalele
Seedorf
Morientes
Michael Owen
Hierro
Walter Samuel
Cambiasso

ON that list:
Morientes
Owen
Hierro - couldn't help that really he retire

breds he retired internationally, he still playing club football with Bolton Wanderers. De new coach in Madrid at the time let him go.

he retire .... he not on Bolton squad no more...

I do not know J steadman, but have heard mostly good things about him...
All I wanted to say though and this has nothing to do with Steadman, but a good, great, legendary player does not always mean a good, great legendary coach.

I work with the son of the great Lato of Poland, and after the WC his father had nothing to do with football. His son never played and is not really that interested in the game itself.

Jan was a great, great defender in his day.... and his coaching isn't by standing on the sideline... he playes with you... an still at 50+ years .. yuh can't beat him and take the ball from him... his experience as a coach comes from experience as a player....
Men who had the oppotunity to see him play consider him and Archibald legendary... so it's more than just his coaching ability but his ability as a player.....

By the way CitizenK, how do you get less than 0 points as is provided as an option in your poll???

That was just a bit of fun really  ;)  Maybe:
1) Someone might want to select < 0 if they think TT will have 3 heavy defeats, to emphasize the scale of the misery, or
2) FIFA deduct points for some kinda fraud?
fifa does deduct points if yuh jockstrap too tight. >:( >:(

Jan and a few member of the TTFF don't pull (mainly the man on top)... He is an outspoken man and sometines so realistic it could be harsh ... some people can't handle that...

He's the only player on that list I've had to opportunity to know and play for...
I respect de man alot...

I've heard alot about all the other players on the list but not have had the oppotunity to see them play or meet them.. just what I hear bout them....

ah watching the Ars vs RM game today when ah see Raul come een.. then ah start thinking to mehself..it have real players that get real props in the media ..nuff hype..but for me, deh eh much to really talk bout..

My list of players that really don't deserve the hype..

- Raul
- roberto carlos
- Freedy ado..much adoo bout nothing at this stage..
- Neville bros
- beckham (these days)
- Owen

add some?

Owen not overated man... he is a boss player..
Raul hasn't been getting getting too much hype... he is one of the few teenage sensations that has kept consistent through the years... He may not be at his best right now but in Real his leadership on the field and the respect he gets from his teammates is what he gets acknowledged for.... He doesn't have exceptional flair to the game but he is one of the smartest forwards of his generation...

I think it would be a safe bet for 3 and even safer 1.... finishing with 4 points or more is ah tough task but possible, depends on what kinda gambler you are...
I feel a result would come from the England match at the least...(patriotism aside)

Football / Re: The Real Arsenal

Real isn't the Real of 5 years ago because they missin a very central, solid defender by the name of Hierro... he controlled the play in defence... Roberto Carlos isn't by any standards reliable in the back but his tremendous fisical ability has kept him as a useful tool on the left...Salgado much like Carlos (not lately)... Helguera has been inconsistent... and Woodgate has put some good performances lately... but injuries seem to be plaguing him... all in all there is no Hierro and the defense is sad....

I have been a Real fan through thick an thin... from since I was 6... when men like Butragueno, Hugo Sanchez and Michel played...
and I would be honest that Arsenal played a better and more organised game... it wasn't the prettiest ... but they deserve it...

I just hope Lopez Caro do some homework an change his strategy for the next game... he was outcoached....

So now they givin him heat from all sides.... national politics and sport...
maybe he deserve it....really I ent know... but it sound like ah Trump card to hang de Jack!!

The better side lose today...Arsenal play with ten men in the back...Unattractive football..They just wait on mistakes....Real Madrid still have my support...I know they could do better in the next game
Ok if de socawarriors play dat way in every game in germany, AND win every one and go on to take home de trophy.....................I go be HAPPY...no matter how unattractive the style is......................WINNING is EVERYTHING

Greece basically do that in Euro 2004....They win it out... So it posibble... ah win is ah win

Very poor analysis. Arsenal played an open game and tried to attack. They got a goal were pinned back by Real who were trying to equalise. When they got opportunities they tried to counter-attack up until about 5 minutes from the final whistle.

Arsenal played good position football and mess up Real flow...they choke Real... it wasn't ten men in the back... it was just good organisation and top class defending....
Overall better tactical play... Wenger outcoached Lopez Caro...
I have faith that Real would pull it off in the next leg though...

« on: February 21, 2006, 09:32:45 PM »
I was sad to look at.... I wouldn't call it brilliance by Henry... it was some terrible mistakes by Real defense..and exceptional positional play by Arsenal... they suceeded in upsetting Real's free flowing style...
To me Ronaldo, didn't look like he give 100%... Zidane didn't cut down the middle but kept passing to an overlapping Roberto Carlos.... Guti was trying to play provider in mid... I feel he shouda push more... whenever the ball got round the area, he was sitting back too much....
Raul sad to say look rusty, which is expected (at least he hustle a little more than the rest of players though).... Beckham didn't play well but had probably some of the most promising runs... If it wasn't for the sturdy Cassillas scoreline could have been 3-0, all from horrible defensive mistakes...

Basically... Arsenal choke Real and deserved to win....As a die hard Real fan... that hurts saying
Everything not done though... Real usually play good on English soil..
However if Lopez Caro don't change his tactics... it would be another very boring game ending in Arsenal victory...
He was comprehesively out coached....

I never had a problem with US success... and I never disputed their progress... in fact I find it admirable... their achievements in the last  world cup, along with a good showing by the CONCACAF as a whole has helped in FIFA in allowing us an extra half a spot which we benefited from.. in the playoffs in Bahrain....
My issue was the arrogance...specfically Bruce Arena...  that's all...
Anyways.... I closing my talk on this... good luck to them ....Is T&T I studying....

But as we talk football, the US does have a Global perspective. That is why they seem to take smaller CONCACAF teams lightly. It is because the perspective is global. i.e. looking at the Big Fishes. I guess you could argue, if yuh could manage de big fishes it should mean (in general) yuh have de small ones in check.

Small ones in Check??? you sure you talkin football man... dis is not the Army yuh know breds...yuh making football and WC sound like imperialism... i don't think that is what Truetrini meant by Global Persepective breds...Please don't do that to football nah man....
.
Truetrini... if that is what you meant ... sorry man.. that's the way i interpreted it...

The US is a good team that I respect (not coach)... and i still stand that they are going to get their arse cut in the WC....they up agianst good teams with even more talent and Pride to play for...

All in all... what ever the result... Is T&T I concerned wit.... done talk!!!

Aye Breda/Sista (which ever you are), it was just FIGURATIVE SPEECH. Lest there be any further misinterpretations, please allow me to be explicit:

"I guess you could argue, if yuh could manage de big fishes it should mean (in general) yuh have de small ones in check."

"I guess you could argue, if you could raise your game and run with the Brazils or the Argentinas or the France of the world, then it should suggest that you could beat the less powerful teams, like Wales and Ice Land and Bahrain."

Is that better?

Mind you, this is not a statement that applies only to the US, it is a general statement made with the understanding that on any given day, a David could slay a Goliath (FIGURATIVELY).

I understood what you said...breda/sista (ent know what de hell you are)
I meant that doesn't provide an answer to the global perspective that truetrini was talking bout...Read yuh bloody post man...
FIGURATIVELY, what you said is the way everybody views the world cup... but that has nothing to do with the global perspective that Truetrini mentioned...

Yuh understand ...breda/sista

I wouldn't be suprised if Cicinho score again....

Whey boy... I juss mention Bush I is a US hatter... whey boy allyuh touchy boy...alright then.. I go stay away from them talk...

Anyway back to football...
You never hear Beenhakker or any of our coaching staff making comments bout the our opponents..... whether it be St. Kitts or Greneda or anything.... The US coach may be confident about his teams abilities... but there is usually a common ground of respect for your opponent...
Much in the way a player gets a yellow for celebrating too much in a match... it undermines the integrity of the game...
Arena was out of line in saying WE and especially AUSTRALIA, are the weakest teams in the WC..

Quote
Hmm, let me see:

Believe and act like you are not the best and... demand no success, get no success, lose every time, act like it is OK when you don’t win; or

Believe and act like you are the best and demand excellence, strive for it, work hard for it, train for it and expect it.

Now which approach do you think will get you success???

I agree with you... confidence is critical ...but arogance isn't ...
In any of my posts .. I never give T&T more than it's due....

The US team as I said earlier uses a very effective model for sucess and I respect their team... just take out the arrogance part

So if my posts make me a hater.... so be it..
