Football / Sheva the "lap-dog"
« on: December 16, 2006, 10:06:08 AM »
Fellas..i jus read one of the most scathing remarks about sheva....for your reading pleasure:

Berlusconi attacks 'lap-dog' Shevchenko

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has launched a scathing personal attack on Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko.

The Ukrainian has struggled to make an impact since his £30million move from the San Siro and the former Italy Prime Minister has chosen to take a public view on Shevchenko's private life - describing him as a 'lap-dog' for his supermodel wife.

Berlusconi, who recently appeared to be considering trying to attract 30-year-old Shevchenko back to Milan on loan, has cut short that charm offensive.

'A true Milanista and a real man would not have behaved like this,' he told Gazzetto dello Sport.

'At my home I'm in charge and decide what happens. Instead, when Shevchenko's wife shouts, he runs under the bed like a lap-dog.

'His wife ordered him to London with their children, where the fog will do their lungs the world of good.'

**********

lemme hear some comments nah!!!

as for me...das real real real blow below de belt...i want to see Sheva response

found a lil article today:

Milan deny holding Shevchenko talks with Chelsea

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has denied holding talks with Chelsea about a possible return to the San Siro for Andriy Shevchenko.

The Ukraine striker has been linked with a move back to Milan in the January transfer market, after struggling to make an impact with the Blues this season.

Shevchenko moved to London from Milan this summer for £30million but has managed only three league goals and has failed to find the target in the Champions League this term.

'At this time there have not been any negotiations with Chelsea, regarding Andriy Shevchenko's return to our club,' Galliani told his club's official website.

Shevchenko insists he is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge and is eager to become a success.

Shevchenko told the club's official website: 'I give 100% all the time and I am committed and hungry for success with Chelsea.

'I have total respect for the Chelsea club and fans as well as for football in England and the culture of the country.

'There are always good and not so good moments in sport, that's normal. If that means there is opinion and criticism I respect that.'

Even if Shevchenko wanted to return to the San Siro, Italian rules on non-EU signings are likely to stand in his way.

In order to sign him, Milan would have to sell another non-EU player to make way - something they appear unwilling to do.

Also this as well...

I sure it won't be bad...he has done too much for Milan fuh dem to treat him badly. They'll welcome him back I feel, if these rumours were true. I agree that he needs more time to settle in at Chelsea though.

There is a scar on Dwight’s back. Anyone  knows the story behind that scar?

I found an article about it:

http://football.guardian.co.uk/worldcup2006/story/0,,1788058,00.html

aparantly it was said to have been caused by being run over a car when he was 2 years and being scalded with the exhaust pipe!!!

A little more on the scar:

the Dwight stuff
A touching story from Dwight Yorke's biography on the Trinidad and Tobago website:

"When he was two, Yorke was hit by a car speeding on the way to the airport at Canaan and was carried on its bonnet for 100m before bouncing off.A Chinese doctor stopped at the scene and saved his life but the little boy had a broken leg and spent three months in hospital. The car's exhaust burned a scar onto his back that eventually grew into the shape of Tobago and to this day it's a constant reminder that every day is a blessing."
