« on: April 23, 2007, 09:45:05 PM »
whas up forumites...
we play another game against the U-17's today...
we get our cut ass handed back to us...we lost 3-0
d fellas play good and also we didnt play good so that jus made things worse yes
1-0 halftime and then 2 scored in the second half
not 100% sure who scored the 2nd 2 since i came off halftime...
Knox i believe scored the 1st..a thru ball that shoulda been easily dealt with and cleared...somehow it trickled thru...think is Leston Paul played it thru from deep in our half...
still tryin to figure out how knox even get that ball cause it come so slow...
but say wha...
he got thru and hit it to my right on the ground...good goal well taken but should have never even gotten the ball
in Harvard's defense, it could be possible that tiredness played a part with the majority of the players playing 3 games in 5 days!
2 against U-17 and one in UWI league.....
the fellas look good, U17 that is...they get too much space..we give them too much at time...the defense sat too deep at times and the midfield were working too hard all the time...
U17 fellas have a good leve of fitness it seems too..that good yes...
HArvard got a couple chances...at least one should have been taken with the goal open but it was missed by Mervyn Moore who scored in the first game on Thursday.
the other scorer for Harvard from Thursday, De Freitas, also could have tested the keeper a little better but did not connect properly after being played thru on the right side
the no. 21 saved the first half for the U17's..think that is Glenroy Samuel..heard that name call...
he made a couple of good saves from 2 shots from Harvard's Def. Mid (jed i playin with d side and eh know all a dem names fully!)...know him as Durant
the first one he dive to his right and held on to the shot and the 2nd was a fierce shot to the top right corner that he dived and pushed over the top.
...
a relatively even first half except for the final 5-10 mins where U17's where dominating
2nd half...had a good few subs from both sides...
Harvard got a couple chances but they were saved well by Jesse Fullerton...especially a 1v1 where he got down well and attacked the ball b4 the player could poke it past him...
he made up for his performance in the first game for sure....
was particularly impressed with Leston Paul and more so with the RB..think it was Jean Luc Rochord from Fatima...he look real good on the right yes...he was gettin thru too easy...
d fellas was lookin a lil tired and U17's strung around the passes more....
more subs were made ...more for the U17 than anything....
they got their goal midway in the 2nd half thru a own goal by the Harvard keeper....a cross from inside the box came in and he tried to push it over with his right hand but it resulted in the ball being pushed in the air and going in on the last post...a soft goal for sure....
the 2nd goal was created from another one of the RB Rochord's runs forward where he beat 2 or 3 players b4 slipping it to his teammate(i real sorry i doh know the names---i know Cyrus was up front i tink
and it look awkward but he took the pass from Rochord with his left in the box and touched it to hit right...and it looked like he kinda toe poked it or chipped it last post...
cause he didnt have much room to work with since he was in the box when he received the pass...and it slowly looped its way into the top corner...we didnt think it scored since it went straight thru the net but...say wha
they got another chance after a thru ball i think to knox but the Harvard keeper made a kick save to make some kind of amends to the 2 earlier goals..
after that fitness played a big part and Harvard's weary legs after such a rigorous schedule took its toll as we had trouble building any attacks and had to rely on long balls where De Frietas tried the best he could...almost got thru on a couple of attempts but he was doing it alone most of the times
overall a deserved victory for the U17's
wish them the best in Jamaica
anyone know if we gettin those games???
Sportsmax HAVE to me showing it....
