Football / Colombia 4 Panama 0
« on: May 21, 2007, 01:29:55 PM »
 Panama was humbled by Colombia

The renewed Colombian national team gave a soccer clinic to a disoriented Panama, which was devastated 0-4 at home.
Colombia, coached by Jorge Luis Pinto, came from less to more and as of minute 20 of the game. They took control of the midfield after the first goal by Mendoza, who was helped by a terrible error by goalkeeper McFarlane. McFarlane, nevertheless, was one of the best players on the field.
Historia continua abajo

Meanwhile, the hosts, led by coach Alexandre Guimaraes, bit the dust of the defeat early on. Their lines became disorganized after receiving the first goal, and it got much worse after the second. The goal was scored by Baloyes in an individual play in the 58th minute where he took the goalkeeper and two defenders.

But the “Colombian threat” appeared in the 62nd minute, well-known Rodallega scored, but they disallowed the goal because he was offside, however, a minute later he scored the third for the cafeteros from the edge of the box.

There seemed to be only one team on the field, Colombia, which it sentenced the game in the 68th minute with a jewel of a goal by Anchico. It was a powerful shot more than 40 meters away and placed the ball in center of the goal defended by McFarlane that in spite of “literally flying” could not anything to prevent the overwhelming defeat.

But if it wasn’t for the Panamanian goalkeeper, the score could have been worse, because the team’s lines could not support the speed or the ball handling by the South Americans.

The game, which was followed by practically an equal amount of Colombians and Panamanians alike, had its peculiar moment when in the 43rd minute Mexican referee Armando Archundia ejected from the field the assistant coach Jose “Cheché” Hernandez, who is the ex-coach of Panama, invading the coaches area.

Nicholas Muñoz, who plays in El Salvador, was the best forward for Panama, but the time that was in the land did not receive the passes necessary from Blanco and Phillips.

Guimaraes tried everything, but nothing worked.

0. Panama: Oscar McFarlane; Carlos Rivera, Roman Torres, Joel Solanilla (R.Anderson m.64), Luis Henríquez (L.Gallardo m.59), Alberto Blanco (R.Escobar m.73), Juan Perez, Ricardo Phillips, Amilcar Henríquez (E.Aguilar m.87), Víctor Herrera (J.Solís m.59), and Nicolás Muñoz (R.Arosemena m.59).
Coach Alexandre Guimaraes.

4. Colombia: Agustín Julio (Landázuri m.87); Gerardo Vallejos, Humberto Mendoza, Alexis Henríquez, Javier Arizala, Jonathan Estrada, Jaime Castrillón (C.Zúñiga m.68), Danilson Cordoba (J.Anchico m.58), Carlos Alberto Sánchez (F.Montero m.77), César Baloyes (J.Rosero m.77), and Hugo Rodallega.
Coach Jorge Luis Pinto.

Goals: 0-1. m.20: Mendoza; 0-2. m.58: Baloyes; 0-3. m.63: Rodallega; 0-4. m.68: Anchico.

Referee: Armando Archundia (MEX), booked Rodallega (m.11) for diving in the area, and to Perez (m.50) for striking Rodallega

Incidents: The friendly was played in the Nacional Stadium Rommel Fernandez of the Panamanian capital with an attendance of 4,000 people.

General Discussion / URGENT TO ALL U.S. AND CANADIAN CREW
« on: May 17, 2007, 09:52:13 AM »
JUST READ IT, YOU MAY JUST LEARN SOMETHING!
SEND TO AS MANY PEOPLE YOU KNOW! DON'T  STOP! ! !

This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola
executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies
who retired from Halliburton. It's worth your
consideration.

Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit
close to $4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might go
higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down?

We need to take some intelligent, united action.
Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on
a certain day" campaign  that was going around last
April or May! The oil companies just laughed at  that
because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt"
ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an
inconvenience to us than it was a problem   for them.

BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a
plan that can really work. Please read on and join
with us! By now you're probably thinking   gasoline
priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is
currently $2.79 for  regular unleaded in my town. Now
that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have
conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of
gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take
aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS  control
the marketplace.... not sellers. With the   price of
gasoline going up  more each day, we consumers need to
take action. The only way we are going to see the
price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the
pocketbook by  not purchasing their gas! And, we   can
do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.  How? Since we all
rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But
we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act
together to force a price war.

Here's the idea:

For  the rest of   this year, DON'T purchase ANY
gasoline from the two biggest companies(which now are
one), EXXON and MOBILE. If they are not selling  any
gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If
they reduce their prices, the other companies will
have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally
millions of Exxon and Mobile gas buyers. (Why those
2?) It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at
this point....keep reading and I'll explain how simple
it is to reach millions of people.

I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us
sends it to at least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ...
and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x
10=3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message
reaches the sixth group of people, we will have
reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three
million get excited and pass this on to ten friends
each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
If it goes one level further, you guessed  it....
THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people.
That's all. (If you don't understand how we can reach
300 million and all you have to do is send this  to 10
people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a
mathematician. (But I am, so trust me on this one.)

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this
e-mail out to ten more  people within one day of
receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be
contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much
potential, did you?

Acting  together we can make a difference. If this
makes sense to you, please  pass this message on. I
suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBILE UNTIL THEY
LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM
DOWN.

THIS CAN REALLY WORK!

May I suggest BP, they sell 100% British oil from the
north sea, not one drop of middle east oil.

Football / WARRIOR SUPPORTERS CALL TO ACTION
« on: March 07, 2007, 11:05:23 AM »
We find ourselves once again in a position where we represent the voice of the people. Another Football crisis has occurred and we all should be in the forefront of a consolidated response to the events that have unfolded.

I call on members to openly voice their concerns via letters to the editors of the local dailies, EXPRESS, GUARDIAN, NEWSDAY sys sync with a strongly worded letter to the TTFF to account for their actions and provide AGAIN an open book of financial standings to ascertain the income and expenditures as of MARCH 7TH 07.

We cannot sit back and watch our teams placed in jeopardy, as we are on the verge of the Gold Cup this summer, with a solid chance to advance to the latter rounds. TALLMAN, FLEX, TOUCHES, OCONNOR. Contact all yuh peeps to make this happen. Lisana, Fuentes need to hear our concerns.

Is it finally time for new blood to come in to the TTFF and save this organisation and our football from slipping after all the WARRIORS have accomplished for them

General Discussion / Remember Darrem Charles
« on: January 09, 2007, 08:54:54 AM »
Well here is what he's been up to. For the younger members, he is probably the most successfull bodybuilders out of Trini

It was almost like history repeating itself. Fortunately for Darrem Charles the ending was different this time around. After three runner-up finishes this year, Charles finally hit paydirt, toppling Johnnie Jackson to win the Atlantic City Pro on Saturday. The win was a role reversal from three weeks ago, when Jackson got the better of Charles at the Montreal Pro Classic. "We're all training to come out on top," Charles said. "You just never know what's going to happen. My goal was to win the other shows but I didn't." "The whole conversation with beating Johnnie, I don't get into that. If the judges have him first, he's first until the next show. He's not a cocky guy. We're all pros and anything can happen on any given day. Today was just my day." With the win, Charles now has won at least one show a year for the fifth consecutive year. After the three runner-up finishes, combined with an eighth at the Arnold Classic and a fourth-place finish at the Europa Super Show, that streak appeared to be in jeopardy in 2006. "I always try to keep confident," said Charles. "Once I'm competing I'm always thinking the next show. I was hoping that the year wouldn't go by with me not winning one." From the outset, the show was clearly a two-man race between Charles and Jackson. But Charles came to Atlantic City in superb condition, and his conditioning proved to be the difference. "I still feel good," Jackson said. "It's always a pleasure fighting at the end with him. I've got the Olympia next week, and now I'm focused on that." Rodney St. Cloud placed third to earn his second Olympia qualification (his previous appearance was 12th at the 2003 event). Marcus Haley and King Kamali finished fourth and fifth, respectively. On the women's side, Julie Palmer won the Fitness title while Lisa Aukland earned her first bodybuilding win as a professional. Palmer edged out Angela Monteleone-Semsch and Stacy Simons, while Aukland beat out Helen Bouchard and Tazzie Columb. The top three from both fitness and women's bodybuilding earned qualifications to Olympia Weekend. "I'm absolutely thrilled," Aukland said. "It's always a dream to win a pro show. I never really thought I would win a pro show, so this is just icing on the cake."

Group Wants 'Global Orgasm For Peace'

POSTED: 7:53 am EST November 20, 2006
SAN FRANCISCO -- Two peace activists have planned a massive anti-war demonstration for the first day of winter.

But they don't want you marching in the streets. They'd much rather you just stay home.

The Global Orgasm for Peace was conceived by Donna Sheehan, 76, and Paul Reffell, 55, whose immodest goal is for everyone in the world to have an orgasm Dec. 22 while focusing on world peace.

"The orgasm gives out an incredible feeling of peace during it and after it," Reffell said Sunday. "Your mind is like a blank. It's like a meditative state. And mass meditations have been shown to make a change."

The couple are no strangers to sex and social activism. Sheehan, no relation to anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, brought together nearly 50 women in 2002 who stripped naked and spelled out the word "Peace."

The stunt spawned a mini-movement called Baring Witness that led to similar unclothed demonstrations worldwide.

The couple have studied evolutionary psychology and believe that war is mainly an outgrowth of men trying to impress potential mates, a case of "my missile is bigger than your missile," as Reffell put it.

By promoting what they hope to be a synchronized global orgasm, they hope to get people to channel their sexual energy into something more positive.

The couple said interest appears strong, with 26,000 hits a day to their Web site, www.globalorgasm.org.

"The dream is to have everyone in the world (take part)," Reffell said. "And if that means laying down your gun for a few minutes, then hey, all the better."
