Well he marry de man sister. So whatever he had going on with he passports, he needed the green card to stay. No reason to marry a stranger otherwise.

It sound more like a Green Card ting than just being spoiled. The spoils was extra benefit.

Vaguely related, but in one of the We are Wrexham episodes, the office has a TTFA flag up on the wall, presumably a throwback to Dennis Lawrence.
Dennis Lawrence. Carlos Edwards. Silvio Spann. Hector Sam. Think there's someone else I'm forgetting.

Interesting to see how much he cherished playing for us. I was getting ready for him act like he was doing us a favor, but he seemed genuinely honored. Especially compared to playing in League 2.

What about Track & Field / Re: The Deon Lendore Thread
« on: January 12, 2022, 11:57:42 PM »
I wanted to just stop by and say I understand now when people say journalism is dead (esp in TNT). The article which was written by the Guardian contains info I erroneously tweeted as the accident which took Deon. Bad info was given to me but I corrected it. Deon's car was a VW Jetta. The other article happened but was not related to Deon's accident since it was in Houston, TX. Deon lived in College Station, TX

The Guardian saw what I tweeted, inserted Deon as the "driver of the Kia" and ran it as a STORY!

GOD HELP US.
Yeah, none of what I was reading up there lined up with numerous other reports. Thought it was new information or something.

Lehwe see who paying attention:

Another NT player and former Fatima College baller played at Samsunspor. Name the player.

To draw a 'VB' --- Tallman to the rescue only after (a) a couple posters have weighed in or (b) the clock has ticked sufficiently on getting a credible response.

I could have dragged out the question by providing the Fatima hint later, but there it is. Go for it. :beermug:
Cyah really name too many of us who play in Turkey, so I'll assume Darryl Roberts without checking.

No reflection on Keston at all or his accomplishment, but I hear that club is some kind mafia ting. Vastly richer than every other Moldovan team, and used to launder their money.

Doh be surprised if them giants they killing choose to bring up their dirt.

Really wish I knew what happened here.

In terms of what?
I meant in terms of representing us. Successive coaches show little to no interest. Wish I knew what the deal was.

they both lack the mental toughness needed to survive in professional football.
His cousin ‘survived’ a 13-year career as a professional. Much of it in the top flight. Sought after by Liverpool twice. Unless is some other cousin you throwing shots for.

He is made of glass and tissue paper and is possibly a hypochondriac. You'll be paying for him to test different treatment tables.

Is this even a conversation?

The best players with T&T passports, Period! The best coach we could get! The best administration we could put together! WHY would we entertain anything less/else?

This will raise the standards and the expectations of all stakeholders.

We are too comfortable with mediocrity.

This.

Put false pride aside and raise the bar.

Well, he already comment on the gap in intensity and speed. Seem a little intimidated but not too much. Just have to hope he take it in stride and rise to it.

He is still MIA on the club's website aside from the opening match of the season with the Reserva.

Well, seems like he work his way up from youth team to reserves. So he MIA in de right direction, I guess.

Man still talking 'labor of love' in 2019?

You think Aguero leaving Man City breakroom to go Kosovo for free? You think Harry Kane dem ain't negotiating how much money in their pocket? Or the terms of what happens if they get hurt?

'Labor of love' is guilt tactics so you could continue to oppress people and use their bodies without reciprocity.

We reach here because of all that, 'Ease we up, nah. Oh gosh, give a bligh,' ass foolishness we does allow.

Come correct or doh come. Until that mindset is ingrained, we in trouble.
