Lawrence has a terrible record, and I really wanted him to do well having been mentored by Martinez for so long, but alas we don't have Belgium quality players

But isn't he playing like Martinez in the earlies? Sideways and backwards, but very limited going forward.

In the earlies with which team(s)?

That's what I wondering. If is anything, Martinez has consistently been criticized for being TOO focused on attack. From de start in League One his Swansea side was pouring in goals.

Man remember how people was raving about Scotty under Martinez in the Championship? For 2 Years str8 Scottie was unstoppable and Swansea was pressha. In fact wasn't it Martinez who got them promoted and then Wigan hired him? Memory lil fuzzy and doh feel like googlin it lol
Nah he didn't get them promoted. He get them to the playoffs then he leave them next season for Wigan. Even Wigan used to look good in attack with their budget players. Man like Rodallega dem.

Still not sure if Scotty couldn't handle the step up, or if he just hit a cold spell at the worst time.

And for a man who help bring Birchall on board, he doh seem too keen on courting ‘eligibles’. De Leon son done wit we?

not blaming Phillip for that goal but does he talk to his defenders. That guy had an open header no body really marking him and he just outside de six.
Think it was Cato who marking him and let him breeze on through.

Honest question: When last we score a goal?

We have been scoreless in the last six games. The last time we scored was against UAE last September.
Gracias.

It seemed like no one wanted the ball. Our movement off the ball was atrocious, and the passing was despicable.  Open passes being missed all game; players hiding behind Panama players and not being open; continuous back passing; no midfield; Joevin not starting.  It all boils down to coaching.  Firing Hart was the biggest mistake Trinidad football ever made (that led to Jones retirement).
I think injuries really led to Jones retirement tbh.

Beating a dead horse, but I hope all the old talkers now realize how important a KJ was to our attack. Ball eh sticking up front at all.

So Yorke ex-teammate is Man U manager. If Yorke still want to manage why he doh go and help a small club? With his profile I sure he could get something but yuh hadda start small.

I was thinking the same damn thing.

VB
Sol Campbell finally humble himself, went and save a League 2 team from relegation. Ting like that could only help your cause.

At a certain point, persistent omissions become glaring. Nobody in our media inclined to ask about Ranjitsingh? Nobody? Just puff pieces and press releases?

All we players going down a level except Greg and he cant make T&T team....

Dennis real good.

Both teams in the same league.

In case you missed it, Greg has moved to Orlando City in the MLS.
I meant Cato. The team he left and the team he went to are in the same league. He didn't 'drop down a level.'

M W Ling is improving he had his best game as a professional footballer he scored his 1st goal as a professional and he hit the cross bar twice from free kicks I think he deserve a chance to play on NT.

That is your criteria for national selection?
M W Ling and J Garcia are much technically better players than the current players on the national team.

And how is that being measured, and in what environment?
The Malta league is a much better league than the pro league.
I find that incredibly doubtful.

I wondered if it was only me?

I thought he had already made his decision?

I guess Jurgen could ketch ah vaps and all of ah sudden decide to call him up in the middle ah WC qualifying?

Two years later and the man is now 28.

Don't worry in the next 18 months if the US still blanking him, he will make his move.

The truth is he is doing what all others before him have done. He will come to TT only if the land of his birth doesn't want him.

Remember J Loyd Samuel made us wait about a decade. We were running after him since he was 19.

VB
And I don't fault them for that at all. As long as they fully committed if/when they eventually decide... welcome.

National team is not OJT. And playing against better players once every 2 months not gonna improve nobody. Improvement comes with consistency comes with practice comes with systems of development.

Football / Re: Who is Nicklas Frenderup?
« on: October 23, 2018, 10:08:44 AM »
What really happened with Ranjitsingh in that spell when he was being called up?

any proper insight?
Yeah, that's essentially what I'm asking. Was his attitude or work ethic considered not right? If so, was this a rational or irrational determination? What was the manifestation of this? Was he quiet and eh talking to nobody? Was he cussing everybody out? Something going left during them call-ups would be the only thing that make sense.

But I also know Trini does get in they feelings fast when somebody from foreign talk/act with confidence or expectations. So all that I wondering.

Football / Re: Who is Nicklas Frenderup?
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:47:11 AM »
What's been done to Ranjitsingh is an injustice. I have heard excuses that they don't get to see many USL many matches but that doesn't fly when Hackshaw, Guerra, Nathan Lewis etc get regular call ups. I suppose because we're brimming with goalkeeping talent we can ignore a quality prospect like Greg. Jan Michael, Marvin Phillip are 34 years old, Adrian Foncette, 30. Ranjitsingh is the right age to start grooming for a significant role on the national team but we'll probably wait until he's looking to commit to Canada (who'll co-host a WC in 8 years) to show interest.
Only acceptable excuse I can imagine is that he was trouble behind the scenes. And not no, 'I doh like how he carry heself' shit. Real trouble.

If it eh that, somebody somewhere being harden.

Football / Re: Levi Garcia Thread
« on: September 18, 2018, 07:43:54 AM »
Looks like a deliberate sabotage of our football players who are at the national level, especially after how well they performed under hart

From there on and his firing has been deliberate sabotage and the players have been derailed

It’s sad that most don’t see this and Levi has not drop in form, when given the freedom to play freely he is a very dangerous player

no conspiracy here contro. sometimes a drop in form is just a drop in form. looks like he is getting his act together now.
Lol, I trying to understand how this conspiracy play out. DJW have contacts at AZ Alkmaar that bend to his will, eh? Or maybe Excelsior hate Hart so they fight down the youth? The answers are out there.

87
I think our recruitment policy is: dem outside eh better than we.

88
Sill no greg ranjitsingh ... Lawrence calling up the same old same old .....  time to move on past Guerra he is 31
We could move past Guerra when we find somebody younger... ANYBODY younger...  who scoring and performing at a decent level. Not these Borat leagues man playing in and still cyah make. Best players at all times. Ah playing Carlos and all if he better than the next.

Hear meh now..

D biggest mistake England make is not selecting Bostock for d World Cup..

He would turnup Croatia....  Sterling doe have d creativity like Bostock...

But say wha....dem English knoe everything... too  bad dey only know tuh select from d Premier League.

Bostock is ah Diamond in d rough....

Toulouse very lucky....dat man was called up by Barcelona...and dem fellas lapsing on he... :banginghead:
Pretty sure he can't play for England anymore. He already lock in with TT. If he ever play international ball, is for we. Whether or not he ever play is another story.
