US has spent Millions after 199O to develop their game and to see their program fall out at this point is disappointing for them. Revenge is so sweet. Hopefully that this is where DL can put a solid foundation to a new beginning of success.

This 100%

Very good assist today for the game tying goal. He's becoming a more complete, unselfish player every week.

Looks like Julien has joined Peltier's old team in Slovakia. Did not see an announcement but he is listed on their official site. I guess this is why he will miss the U20s. All the best.

Whether or not he makes it at PSG he will probably sign somewhere overseas. I remember reading something this past year that the Red Bulls had all but accepted the fact that he would try his luck in Europe. And he should recieve a call up. Ceaser gets regular call ups and Powder was on the best team in that league and got plenty of playing time.

What's Muckette doing now. I had heard that he may be on the move but nothing ever came from that. I've seen him play a couple of times I really like him as well. He's a really composed MF.

Hopefully the committee stands strong. They must not give in. We are not going to the WC anyway, this is the time to take a stand.

I like this move. It is long term thinking. We're not going to the WC but we can build for the future. I think Maturana would have been a positive move too but I like this approach too. Hopefully there is a smooth gradual transition. I do not like the fact that DJW and Saintfiet tried to get rid of the senior tenured squad members so quickly. We do not have a #1, or a #9 better than KJ or Jan right now so they should play until someone is good enough to take their place.  As far as Lawrence goes I think he has received alot from his experience with Martinez. I wish him all the best.

We're not going to the World Cup because the dictator sabotage Hart... Dennis is a great choice for asst coach, not head coach, he should have been asst under Hart ... with don Leo as tech director .... these men don't know what they are doing...

Maturana should have gotten the post over everyone, given their spite towards not bringing back Hart .. no one in that short list is better qualified ...

I hope Dennis does well though but I don't have high hopes by any means

I do agree that Hart should not have been fired and that Maturana would have been the best choice however I do like the idea of DL getting a chance. Hart was never going to come back under DJW and Maturana probably asked for more money. He was IMO the best considering the circumstances.

I think SH did a great job but I'm not against the decision to move on as the results have fallen off and the team has not won a big game under his regime. However, my final decision on firing Hart would be dependent on who they can get. If I see Latapy or some other recycled names I will be highly disappointed.

I should clarify my comments by saying that I dont think Hart should be fired. But without Molino and Bostock I question opening up the game and with Cyrus in defense I would be hesitant to play an open game vs San Marino.

I think Hart did cost us this one. I know this is a weak Honduras team but to go there with only 2 in the center of midfield is crazy. It's not like we have the technical ability to do that. If Molino and Bostock were there then maybe but without them it's suicidal. In the second half KJ was playing in the center of midfield. Just because Panama beat Honduras doesn't mean we could just out play them.

There is no way Molino can be considered the best player on this team when he hasn't played well in any big game. This team looks ordinary with and without Molino because its a team of hard workers rather than creative midfielders. As for Molino I was waiting for him to impact the St Vincent game he did nothing in the first game and scored a garbage time goal in the second, vs Guatemala  he did nothing. His most important goal was possibly his goal vs a B squad from Honduras in the 2013 Gold cup. Compare the games he has scored in to either Kenwyne or Joevin and it just doesn't compare. And it's not like he's creating opportunities for others. Honestly the best I've seen him play was during the last 15 mins vs the US when we were already down 4. And even if he were the best player we can't make excuses for a player who disrespects the coach and the team in this fashion.

The possible loss of KJ is bigger than the loss of Molino for a couple games in the hex. Molino can beat up on the DR but struggles vs the better teams. KJ is a central point for how this team plays. We really really need Bostock to get his situation sorted out.

on another note, i would have loved to see what ranjitsingh had to offer last night now that phillips has proven time and time again that he's not world cup material.

You doh want to see what Foncette has to offer?

As for Phillip not being world cup material......it could be REASONABLY argued that with his performance against Guatemala, Marvin Phillip is the reason why we are now in the Hex
no offense but i've seen what foncette has to offer in south america in june and it's no different from what i am getting now, or have you forgotten in your haste to judge that he played over one hour in those three friendlies?

ranjitsingh on the other hand plays in a better league against better opponents and it wouldn't hurt to give him a shot, at this point what do we have to lose?

as for marvin phillips saving us, maybe there's a better way to view that statement. that would be like a pirate saving his sex slave from drowning when maybe if he didn't kidnap her from her family in the first place then she would have no cause to be in the deep ocean.

maybe if someone else more capable were between the sticks then we would not have conceded in the first place. the thing is that it's almost impossible for this guy to keep a clean sheet even against teams that are remotely capable.

This metaphor :rotfl:  :rotfl:

But I agree because for all of Phillip's good saves vs Guatemala he made enough mistakes that we cannot feel safe with him between the posts.

Judging by how Hart usually sets up I'm not sure KJ is supposed to move alot. However the three behind him were not fluid enough to  help the situation.

Hyland played a great defensive game yesyerday
We couldn't be watching the same game.. We simply need an attacking mid to compliment him
i thought i was the only one. it's nice to see someone else who observes the game from an objective point of view.

I agree too I think Hyland played his role. What we do need is a player like Bostock to link play better.

Don't know why some are so hard on KJ. I saw a play in the first half, a throw in from the right side where Molino and another player stood still like they didn't want to go for the ball and Kenwyne pleading with them to go for something. But these players always want the flick on. Also if you aren't gonna run back on defense then you must score goals. If you rewatch these last two games you'll see Kenwyne working harder than any of the three behind him.

Quite a few attackers who don't want to defend. It doesn't matter how talented they are I'm not sure how much they can play in the hex.

Still waiting for Molino to have an effect on a big game for us. Maybe he's saving it for the hex.

We really missed Bostock today. Molino is an excellent RW but not great playing behind kenwyne. Hyland and Boucoud were excellent today. As were Bateau and for the most part Mitchell. Joevin had an interesting game. He didn't do too much but scored 2 goals one of which was spectacular. This team needs move movement among the 3 attacking midfielders.

I had him on the right wing... I believe him and Levi should start with Molino off the bench..it might be more effective for us..

Yeah that's also a good idea. I just think Levi's best games are off the bench. He was a spark off the bench today and created a couple great chances within the first couple minutes.
