Football / Re: The sweetness of a rollie pollie
« on: August 19, 2010, 11:14:32 PM »
Me ent really find either of them to be de real rollie pollie. I thought a rollie pollie was rolling de ball one way and then back de opposite way when de defender bite on de 1st fake. In de US dey teaching de youths de one Zidane do and calling it de " maradona ". First one just like like a pullback fuh real. Look good, but ah hope somebody really find some footage of a good " look it dey, now it gone rollie ". Blessings

Football / Re: Much ado about Freddy
« on: May 13, 2010, 09:14:07 AM »
Adu is very good at what he does. Problem is....he not the best at it, and when he goes to clubs that have seasoned players in these creative, floating, get de ball to him roles, Freddy has to adjust and go outside his comfort zone. All the US youth teams that he has starred on he has had this role which showcases his talents. Not sure he has the physical attributes or the determination to work through this and maybe get better at other, more workmanlike, structured roles, but he sure as hell not walking into any reasonably good club and being given that " messi " role just so. Good luck to him though, I think he is a very good talent and has shown this against very good players and and some seasoned pros in the u-20 world cup.   :beermug:

Well let him get paid by Jabloteh, continue developing these players and ALSO be national coach then. If he know so much and care so much about de program, he should be very willing to volunteer his services instead of enhancing de bachanal that already going on in we football by publicly disrespecting de named head coach of yuh country. He wasn't content to say de whole situation is a mess......he had to talk bout de man drills and unproductive sessions. How that helping?

Ok ok....de fella is a good guy and philanthropist. Does that make him a big time international coach willing to work for de money Latapy getting? Not too sure about that. I think he shoulda continue doing a good job at Jabloteh and make comments that would actually help de program and not inflammatory ones that are unnecessary. Just my opinion

Mr. bake and shark.....if you yourself are unpaid for upwards of 3 months, pray tell what would make you return to the scene of the crime? Forget big time European clubs.......shoudn't a coach capable of lifting a 3rd world country with a corrupt football administration out of the gutter be able to get at least a small time club that would pay his wages on time? Especially as an European born world cup veteran? Advise me please. Beaches, his sweet trini woman, doubles in chaguanas, hott shoppe roti maybe?

MaxG, yuh seem to have at least some coaching education. U are wasting yuh time arguing with some of these guys. What has Fenwick proposed to change anything? He has said all the things everybody else has been saying. De only difference is he has experience as a player at de highest level and some limited coaching experience if yuh talking bout high professional levels. His critisism of Latapy's sessions is (while entitled to his opinion) totally unnecessary. He sorta associated it with his critique of de entire program, but what is his real point and purpose? Has he ever coached a national team anywhere? Has he overseen a football administration in a 3rd world country? Yes, he makes sensible points that have earned him seemingly great support from some of our posters just by his words, but besides positioning himself as a tough, no nonsense foreigner, de only thing he has added really is a serious bashing of Latapy's coaching and its effect on his players. If we had money to hire a foreigner, why should we hire Fenwick? I repeat what has he done as a big coach? We see Jack not putting out de money, so why we allowing this cacahole to disrupt de lil amateur program Latas and dem running? On a next thread somebody say he left Jabloteh cause dey wasn't paying him and still owe him money. Allyuh really think de only reason he buzzing round Trini again and not getting a fancy contract somewhere else is because he love some trini woman and we beaches? Ha lawd

Who everybody here like Fenwick? Because he give nice speeches and make sense when he looking in from de outside? If he is a saviour where was he when Jabloteh start falling apart? When Clico( not unlike de TTFF ) start giving trouble he run away and leave he assistant to face de fire. I agree that he has some experience and he seems to have done a good job for the most part with Jabloteh, but what has he done to be able to tell people bout de international game and how dey should run that program? How come he doh get a big wuk in Europe or Ivory Coast not calling him to carry them to de world cup title? While I agree with a lot of points he makes, he comes across as a sensationalist jumping at de opportunity to throw more fuel in an already volatile situation. Latapy might fail, yuh never know, but what is Fenwicks point and aim spewing this info at this time? Why we love to glorify these characters and appoint him as de " should be national coach " ? Allyuh know dis man? I see too many possible personal motives for this outburst. Wonder if he feel he could hoodwink dis lil 3rd world country and make a nice living here? Ah just not hearing nobody else but Trinis talking bout this Terry Fenwick fella....how come nobody chasing him to coach them?

Not a whole lot being added by coaching ... buh ah hear yuh

Yuh sure bout that Asylum seeker? I know most of the private clubs pay between $100 and $200 per session for youth coaches that are qualified. Some of these fellas end up doing so much coaching, dey performance on de field slip and dey end up out of de league just coaching

Yes Mr. Palos....I'm Jack Jr.  :beermug:  Still don't see u with all yuh quick witted remarks offering any money to either hire Capello or hire a big time Palos pleasing assistant though. My only point is that we bash Jack and de TTFF relentlessly and I agree with that. Now we here talking shit bout an assistant coach chosen when the decision makers have offered little money for de head coaching position and very little for any assistants. Who going to contribute dey big time coaching ability on a volunteer basis to Trinidad and Tobago to keep us happy? When yuh figure that out shout mih again and educate mih please. Why we have to belittle a big time contibutor to our national program as a player because he accept a job no one qualified wants? Jai John, what my point have to do with excuses for de TTFF? I believe a group of fourth formers from St. James Sec could do a better job than Jack and his sidekicks, but what blame really falls on Faustin for accepting this job or even Latas for asking him in this situation? Even Yorke blank de wuk...lawd

Why some of allyuh smartypants doh come up with some private funding to pay de specialty coaches allyuh want......like Capello and Hiddink and dem fellas? No money available, Latas at least bring in a man who already show he understood de game at a high level and would probably accept gas money as compensation. Call a big coach who taking de job under these circumstances? Is a sad situation for all, but we only want to run up we mouth and bring down we own. Start a collection with all de idle time nah....and let we put up a banner in de stadium next time saying " de know it alls of Socawarriors.net are responsible for paying dis big coach and for de resulting brand of football displayed ". What allyuh think?

So beauty queen having threesomes after putting on an act to win pageant is not a story? Since when kicking a ball professionally is an agreement to represent the masses and the crown on yuh head in an exemplary fashion? While I agree it is a terrible invasion of someone's privacy and de person responsible real facked up, I can't really see her as a victim. Sorry, and hope it doesn't happen to anybody else. Lots of wise words at times, but the comparison to Yorke running ho's and trying to keep de big money running by telling bout all he sordid acts just not on point in my opinion. A beauty queen is not a model, and what has been the focus of these dumb pageants for years is practically de opposite of the big money, ho's running, alcohol consuming, foul mouthed, elbow throwing stink smelling profession to which Yorke belongs

But you shouldn't be surprised...is not just day before you outlined the reason people doh go to Pro League games.  Well the reasons you outlined in that post could probably be transferred to Intercol too....just mih lil 2 cents....and thanks for the heads up....ah goh enjoy mih memories of Dwight before all yuh did know bout him.... :)
In my time i knew about dwight, since in the days when he played for signal hill, when dwight and hutchenson came to the stadium in ah big four and collect 10 from sando tech with the compliments of latas and sutton.

dwight and hutch was the best thing on that team, all the rest ah fellas was mediocre!

Just Cool, ah feel dat big 4 game was a dream bossman. Ah ain't feel that happen. Had no big 4 when Latas play and Dwight wasn't playing yet in 85 which was Latas last year!

Ah hope Travis was just expressing he opinion to somebody and didn't think it was going to be publicized like that. Some very unnecessary attitude attached to dem comments in my opinion. Everybody knows there was/is really no great system for our youths in Trini. He coulda express de same ideas/advice in a much more professional way. I for one believe we players could trap, pass, cross, shoot, dribble, and tackle. We just cyah do it at de pace de international game requires. Dem fellas tryin hard, dey just not ready to do things consistently and keep we world famous critics happy. Allyuh feel dem ph driver who does be doing 100mph with 1 hand out de window, de next hand counting money, and a Stag on he lap could go drive formula 1? He might be a legend in he neighborhood, and he followers might want to believe that, but dat is just we Trini thing. Men like Hardest, Tinto, Trent Noel is de same thing....local neighborhood legend. We just not ready for de real scene and can't get ready in only a few months neither. Until we whole culture, youth development strategy, and administration change.....we will be here cussing on socawarriors till 2080.

Don't we play a flat back four? If so, then all this bout ist stopper and sweeper makes no sense. Pressure and cover depending on which angle ball comin from will dictate who steps and who covers.

Football / Where was all de heated discussion here when Poland fire Beenie?
« on: September 30, 2009, 05:24:38 PM »
I just thought that it was kinda casually discussed and ah expected more. Some men say that we should have a statue built for Beenie and others say any top level coach could have done what Beenie did for us in 2005/2006. His success/failure with big clubs/national teams has been debated quite a bit, but with all de action in de various European leagues/Champions League/World Cup qualifying....I assumed I would have heard about our hero Beenie quite a bit more

Not sure if this is exactly what Freakozoid trying to say.......but as we talking bout Jamaicans.....if Bolt with all he big name and talent come to de Olympics and run 10:42 in de 100m, does that mean Darrel Brown have to make sure de big name win and run 10:44? When team come to lorse, cut dey arse. Respect effort, but be realistic with what de big baller nations can normally put out there. If dey lapse and come sorf, we must punish them if we better, reputation and size have nothing to do with anything on de field at that point!

How de natl coaches could get players physically prepared in de short space of time dey have for international games? Youth programs might be different as most of de players local and might be available more. De older players all bout de place and have professional duties even if dey local. We doh eat right and expect to train for a month or two at a high level and match up guys who doing this for years and never far from good fitness. Until we start developing these physical routines and lifestyles for players at a younger age, we will always be playing catch up. like trying to run down Usain Bolt in a 200

Samuel is not the most composed defender, Just last year he was struggling for his place at his club.
Added to the fact he has never played in Centra America, Humidity will be a problem as he is basically British and he has virtually no understanding with his team mates.

What alyuh expect going to happen

The man might play and look worst that cyd grad did in costa rica when the pressure start to him him.

be careful what you wish for.

On paper he is a better defender than the ones we have but football is not played on Paper.

International Ball and club ball is two totally different thing.
given tow years with several games and time to gel he should help the team but no way no how he going Honduras and looking impressive.

It just dont work so.

experience should tell we that.

we defense is going to be under pressure make sure the men we chose is used to it.

You does plan de shit dat you does post or it does jes happen organically?  8)

But jess so Palos.  :o

De man trying to get these 3 pts and remain politically correct because man done calling him all kinda name like " lewd midget " already. Seems Latas realize words eh cutting it, and only that 3 pts wednesday could relax de critics
