You  should know better Doc, is the TTFF we dealing with, one thing today something else tomorrow.

2943
I believe Leo Beenhakker made a good call up on players.

The coach is capable of making players play better and play for him and his system, the players who can listen, fit and could follow instructions will get picked.

Bertille St Clair turned down Dennis Lawrence, Reynold Carrington, Arnold Dwarika and Collin Samuel, he didn't want to hear anything on these men at one time, Ian Poterfield came onboard and made these men (Dwarika, Lawrence & Carrington) play like kings, Samuel made his debut under Simoes and was an instant hit also, he kept his form during his first year in Scotland. BSC also had personal problems with Silvio Spann, Avery John, Jason Scotland, Collin Samuel and Aurtis Whitley.

My point, I am sure Beenhakker knows what he's doing and pick the best players for the job, playing in Mexico is a big task and I feel he is aiming for that game more than we think, a tie there will do us great if it comes to that, play with 5 defenders and look for the counter, 4-5-1

The only 2 players who really got a raw deal was Scott Sealy and Andre Boucaud.

Rojas might be committed, but he eh ready. Avery should play left back and Tiger on the wing. Period, other than this I am satisfied with the squad called, I also believe Stern will raise to the occasion, out of all the strikers called, (like it or not) he happens to be our better finisher, even though I feel Dwarika could have help Stern re-discover his form because of his style of play and the position he plays, but maybe Dwarika wasn't fit ? Glasgow, I would replace him with Collin Samuel and play Samuel as a second half sub for Tiger on the left wing if anything. Samuel is coming of his season and should be fit, he should be the only exception because Glasgow not prolific at all, so to is Sam, but Samuel can play as a break away striker or on the left wing back running at defenders opening space up, he faster, more determined to prove himself and stronger than Glasgow.

Glen, I expected more from him, he's talented, but has more flaws than good, hopefully this will change soon because he CAN really help, he came in vs USA and made a huge difference, so all is not done for him, maybe the Gold Cup will be a great time to see players such as Dwarika, Boucaud, Sealy, Glen, Spann, Norville and Shakes.

Dwight holds the key on top for us, he scored a hat trick vs Panama last time he played, so hopefully he can do it again, if not, maybe we can use his as a decoy where he can have two markers on him so man like John, Jones and Sam could get free space to do they thing. The problem with Dwight on top is both him and John plays to similar so we would have to go with a 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 formation vs Panama where we will have an attacking midfielder like Jones or Birchall creating something up front.

3-5-2 vs Panama.

Charles                    Andrews                  Avery

Edwards       Birchall                 Whitley             Tiger

                              Jones

                   John                 Yorke

PS: Lets kill the Zamora/Jlloyd topic, these men we dont need, they heart not with us.

Nice website you have there.

Chris is doing great for T&T and to be honest I wasn't expecting him to do that great seeing that he didn't grow up in T&T and I taught the weather would have been a factor, but he proved me and many others wrong, he is great and looks a sure starter. Out of the last 4 recruits for T&T Chris happens to be the best.

Good luck to him and Port Vale next season, when he gets back to Vale in time for the next season he will be a new player, he has been in T&T for the past 20+ days and may stay longer ad works under a great coach, so look for some new tricks from him..  ;D

Arnold Dwarika and Cornell Glen is 2 big lost especially since Rahim not 100% and we lacking in-front of goal, Dwarika might have helped, say what, I guess the coach knows what he's doing.

Collin Samuel and Jason Scotland can still change things. Samuel can play great on the left midfield maybe in place of Rojas. Lets see what will happen on Monday.

Can Jones play as a holding midfield  and free up Whitley to move up and help out the strikers.

Seems like Beenhakker have faith in Glenton Wolfe.

We have 3 central defenders (Pierre, Lawrence and Andrews) so one may get cut along with Rojas or Wolfe to make room for maybe Scotland, Samuel, Glen or Dwarika ?

Judging from them reports by Patriot and Touches, it seems Jason Scotland might save the day for T&T, because Stern John and Cornell Glen cool down a bit and then Jones is not a all out striker. Scotland and Hector we need you.

The good thing is, Dwarika and Whitley can play forward if needed and, Whitely is presently in-form.

Sealy need some time, he is good no doubt, but not ready as yet, I saw him yesterday, or maybe its the team he's playing for.

Still feel Glen can stur things up at half time, I would prefer him over Stern at the moment.. a good off the bench sub.

What happen to Stern John man ? this guy was my hero at one time. ?

Dwight and Sam up-front with Jones supporting.

My Team For Tomorrow, 4-3-3:

_________Ince________
Charles____Cox____Wolfe
________Andrews_____
Edwards__Whitley__Tiger
_________Birchall______
_____John_____Jones__

I agree with KND, Jones dont seems like an all out striker, but I guess we may use him there seeing that he has the quality to be a clinical finisher because of his athletic design.

Sorry to see your team got droped.... hope you guys make it out next season.

Did the manager got axed too ??

I know Kelvin Jack still has two years left on his deal ?

Sancho should move to England.

Trinidad and Tobago striker Jason Scotland bagged the goal that took Dundee United past Hibernian at Hampden Park in the semi-final stage and assured them of a place in next season's UEFA Cup. Scotland and teammate Collin Samuel should both feature in Saturday's Cup final before returning to Trinidad to join the national squad.

Yorke and Cole the best.
By: Lasana Liburd.

Trinidad and Tobago national football team captain Dwight Yorke received an unlikely tribute recently when a Sky Sport internet poll named Yorke and his former Manchester United teammate Andy Cole as the top strike partnership of all time.
Yorke and Cole failed to rekindle their success when paired at Blackburn Rovers but football fans fondly remembered their spell at United, which fired the club to an unprecedented treble of domestic and European honours in 1999.
They obtained 30 per cent of the vote by over 20,000 people.
Liverpool's Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush were second with 24 per cent of the vote followed by the Brazil 1994 World Cup winning pair of Bebeto and Romario who polled 10,858 votes.
Blackburn's Chris Sutton and Alan Shearer were the fourth best partnership trailed by Peter Beardsley and Gary Lineker (England), Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips (Sunderland), John Toshack and Kevin Keegan (Liverpool) and Mark Bright and Ian Wright (Crystal Palace).
Yorke, who scored 122 Premier League goals, is on his way out of England as German coach Pierre Littbarski, a former World Cup winner got Yorke to sign for Australian club, Sydney FC.
Yorke to go "Down Under" as he urged ex-Aston Villa and United team and former Australian international goalkeeper Mark Bosnich to join him at Sydney FC.
Bosnich, who made Yorke the best man at his wedding three years ago, has not played professionally since Chelsea sacked him in 2003 after testing positive for cocaine.
"We have a history together as friends and I'm sure the Australian people would welcome Mark back to football with open arms," said Yorke, whose nights out with Bosnich are part of English tabloid folklore.

Marvin Andrews sums it up right.. with Rougier close because of his versitle style over the past years for T&T. Yorke is proving his loyalty but ! only now.

I am totally shocked to see to the commitment Yorke is showing, I wish him all the best.

Irasto Knight plays for some top team in Peru, no ?

Any warm-up is good, but we should have try to get a team who would field a full team and who is currently in a world cup qualifier, like Venezuela, Peru or Chili maybe, we need a stern test.

Glad for Tiger... good luck to him and Rojas.

2959
Glad to see the commitment he is showing not all our foreign players show this sort of commitment, so this alone is a good sign, however, I'm not sure if he is any better than anyone of our present defenders ? but I guess if he's eligiable to represent T&T then he SHOULD be given a trial for the least, BSC wastes caps on Seabra and he didn't even have his T&T citizenship, whether he was good or not, this should not have happened, because we had others younger players who could have utilized those caps. We cant afford to make the same mistake with Pereira, he must be eligiable FIRST, then everything else will follow, the TTFF need to work with one step at a time, and not jump to the top to quickly.

In the US once you are married to a US citizen you get your papers very fast, unlike T&T.... sad.

BTW: Excellent interview Flex and thank you Mr. Pereira.

Kendall Jagdeosingh represented Trinidad and Tobago at the National under-20 level, and he has been working his way into the North East Stars senior team since last season. Jagdeosingh, only 18 years old, attended Arima Senior Comprehensive and is one of the country’s young talented strikers.

Anthony Wolfe is 21 years of age, and while he has never been called to any of the National Youth teams, he has been making his mark at North East Stars in the T&T Pro League. Wolfe attended Mayaro Composite and is also a striker that is worth his salt and so far has scored three goals in five matches in the 2005 season of the Pro League.

Came from the Stadium yesterday.

The team looking great in training, Leo Beenhakker had them men working.

At one time Leo broke them up in 2 teams, with;

Glasgow (no more dread), Nigel Pierre, Nigel Daniel (looking real good), Eve, Daurance and others I could not make out to good was on team A.

Theobald, Derek Phillips (strongest man on the field), Toussaint (#10), Keon (blue boots), Dwarika (working on his free kicks), Anton, Holder (man tall to boy), Abu Bakar (the tallest red man on de field) was in group B.

I didn't like how King and Nigel Pierre shoulders always drop, they look little lazy.

Man like Whitley, Atiba, Daniel (Nigel) and Jagedeosingh look good boy. That indian have something special, trust me, both him and Daniel.

All them men in with they Soca Warriors bands.

Them 3 coaches looks real professional, the best I see so far, Lincoln look very happy.

I didn't stay long, just pass through, I will try and make more trips and give you guys a good report.

See Birchill in action today....

Tranmere  v  Port Vale...

2964
From what I heard Port Vale fans love him, according to them he should be signing a new contract with them soon. He is very strong, very quick, runs at people, good corners, crossing, excellent player. He plays on the right wing mostly. I'd say he could play central midfield, but he's much better going forward than sitting back, (to be honest, I've never actually seen him play in that role!) he's an attacker - quite useful either wing but he's right footed.

A round robin tournament will be great indeed Tallman, but whats the chances of that happening and how much do you think it will cost ?

The UK players should be free from club duties soon. So this should be very realistics.

John Barnes was class. Dwight Yorke accomplished more (club wise). Barnes played for England which was a plus for him on the international scene. Dwight may have a chance now to change that if we qualify for Germany and knowing that he was born and bread in T&T, grew up and learn the game in T&T is also a major plus in Yorke's favor..
