Them top 3 looking pretty good. But I feel de U-23 & U-20 Combine might pull off a few suprises if ALL these teams play a tournament against each other.

The locals looking better now Flex, I saw you add Nixon and Pierre now.

KND or Sam should apply to take ova Dexter Skeene's position... ;)

Its disgraceful knowing that in these mordern times where they have fax, internet, phone, e-mail or even regular mail that Tobago United is yet to recieve a schedule for the current 2005 season which is in progress...  >:(

The offical Pro League website needs a new webmaster also, Flex you better apply for the job. Cant even get updates on standings, rosters, senior, under 17 and under 20 stats etc etc etc etc. Even Flex site which is not the official pro league website have more stats on the pro league itself than the offical one.

All that fee they collect for teams to enter into the league is not being utilized properly.

You're right. Hector is a great option off the bench. Glen, John (Stern) and Eve also. Glen is excellent off the bench and can surely turn a game around.

We need to search for more more prolific goal scorers.

I say we invest in youth players like Norville, Carter, Highley, Jones, Sealy, Wolfe, Tinto and Noel Williams.

Stern John "cant" be starting for T&T any more, or at least until he "regain" his condition and form. He really needs a reality check, his head is to big now, he thinks he's a big time player when he really is not and he complains to much on the field also, he doesn't like to work for the ball and make off ball runs, he wants it at his feet. His bad back pass vs USA on ash wednesday caused a USA goal.

I also expect Jason Scotland and Colin Samuel to do much better soon, they have the potential.

Why is Latapy joining the team so late ? This is serious business Latapy, you need to be here. Falkirk is already promoted, they dont need you anymore. Come on, stop the BS.

I hope Nakhid considers, we need him around the team.

I must confess, Anil Roberts did a great review here.

I am also glad to see that Atiba and Spann might be the players we needed all the time, see what a little exposure can do.

Any truth in this.. ?

Among the proposed plans for the team is a clash against England in Miami on April 20, a training camp in Europe from May 17-25 and a home fixture against a Digicel Caribbean All Stars on May 29.

You would think Sealy would get call up to seeing that he just scored 2 goals against Costa Rican clubs in Corta Rica, why waste time on Stern John, he isn't scoring goals. Avery John happens to be the top 5 central defenders in MLS, why isn't he being called, he can help us on the left wing also, he's better than Rojas and Fitzpatrick in attacking or defending.

Plenty gaps, St Clair just doing what he wants. I am sure only because of Yorke St Clair is still here.

I'm glad for both players, especially Smith, he is under rated by our coach, I feel Smith will suprise a lot of people, he always score goals and can play in midfield or forward also.

Good luck to both.

Sam really looked hungry for football when he came on on Saturday and deserved the goal.
I saw Kenwyne Jones when he scored three for Sheffield Wednesday against Wrexham in January and he looks like a striker on form too.

You sure Kenwyne Jones scored three for Sheffield Wednesday against Wrexham in January ? I dont think he ever scored a hattrick.

As for Hector, did you actually see him play the game or was that some high lights you saw.. ? if so, how did his work rate and overall play looked..

Football / The Minister in the Ministry of Sports.

Flex ask me to post this for him guys, an e-mail that was sent... (any ideas or feedback)...

The Minister in the Ministry of Sports.
The honourable - Mr Roger Boynes.

Dear Sir.

We are increasingly bombarded with news of unemployment and alienation of our youths. Annually, in excess of six thousand students graduate from secondary and tertiary educational institutions in T & T. Their first priority, as was perhaps the case with the rest of us was to secure sustainable employment. Unfortunately, high academic grades as well as work experience is required by employers, making it literally impossible for almost seventy percent of the graduates to become employable. What then is the solution?

My proposal is to make all sporting disciplines professional so that the individual not only becomes actively involved in healthy activity, but also is associated with positive and motivational peers while earning income. To achieve this :

- Professional coaching is required from as early as age eight 8 to thirteen 13.

-This would result in increased employment opportunities for coaches and those who might aspire to this end.

- Those in this age group would be ably assisted by their coaches to become focused on which type of sport they might be best suited to excel at.

- Between the ages of fourteen(14) to seventeen(17), a semi-professional school league consisting of players in the various sporting disciplines could be established.

- This would augur well for healthy competition, thus presenting an opportunity for exceptional players to be chosen for the professional league.

- To promote healthy family and community activity, competitions should be scheduled for weekends.

- The various stadia across the Islands should be utilized for matches thereby promoting to the public so that ticket sales could increase.

- A percentage of proceeds of these ticket sales should be deposited with prize monies into an athletic fund to be utilized for educational requirements of the winners.

- The entire school body can become involved and support their athletes by designing and printing T-shirts, caps, banners, flags etc.

- This would serve to identify which school was represented by the most orderly and disciplined group. The players would be motivated by the support and prizes could be given for Most Disciplined Posse thereby developing in youths a consciousness for proper conduct.

- A professional league consisting of those players over the age of eighteen (18) who would have excelled in their various disciplines could then be formulated.

- These youths would be doing what they do best and earning incomes for it.

- We would become more supportive of our athletes because as a nation we would be more aware of their activities.

- Economic activity across the board would be generated and vision 2020 would be achieved. Increased use of our stadia would mean employment for maintenance personnel, administrators, promoters, taxi drivers, food vendors, manufacturers of sporting goods and accessories and the list goes on.

- Athletes in winners row would undoubtedly attract and warrant heavy sponsorship. Sponsors would be rewarded by firstly being associated with excellence in sports and secondly should be granted tax credits by the government to the value of their contribution.

- This would serve to increase sponsorship, hence increase funding for sporting activities, thereby making sports a viable income earning alternative to misconduct and criminal activity.
I hope these proposals would be favourably considered for implementation so as to achieve the desired end.

Sincerely.
EON FAZAL SHAH.

Is Evans Wise even playing football at the moment...???

I mean no player should be ignored. But it would be easier if Wise was match fit and playing active football presently. He should return to MLS proving they want him...

I think McFarlane should be given another chance, after all he did score 3 world cup goals....

I dont see why the US Embasy is giving Sealy a hard time, he lived there for the past 3 years and now he wants to join the MLS, everything's legal...

Seems like Glen is our only hope, lets hope he can shake off some of those injuries he has been having... it could affect his career.... I wish him all the best..

Stern will do good also, his work rate isn't that great, but I must admit, he does score as he did today for his club in a 1 all tie...

Nixon is a great back up to have, he cant be a bad player, he was top scorer in the T&T PFL league last season... better than another other local striker presently on the T&T team..

What ever happened to Devon Mitchell, Kerry Noray, Larry McDonald, Nigel Daniel and Marvin Oliver.

Andre Toussaint should be given another chance to.

Maybe Glen or Stern might top the charts..

I hope Sealy get through with his VISA problems... I cant wait to see him in the MLS...
