Football / Re: DOSE OF OUR OWN MEDICINE!!!!!
« on: May 31, 2006, 02:19:35 PM »
Kudos to who ever it was that picked this game for us at this time... this is exactly what we needed...

Football is a simple game.. Slovenia showed us exactly how teams are going to come at us; they are going to close our spaces and come directly at us. So we have to make up our minds, are we going to attempt 'play' with these teams or adopt a defensive strategy. If we choose to 'play' teams are goiing to eat us alive. Their players are technically superior and have a much better understanding of the game as was shown today..

I think we go the defensive route and attack on the break; absorb the pressure and attack on the break.. we have the skill and, most important, the speed to do so. That's the only way for us to come out of the Cup looking good or even get to the second round. Its a tactic that has worked in the past and it can work for us. We can go out there and 'look good' and lose 6-nil or play smart and 'catch' a team or 2. However, with this tactic Mr. John had to make up his mind to score the one or two chances hes gonna get.. thats this this goes

Football / Re: Ten reasons Brazil won't win the World Cup
« on: April 04, 2006, 09:59:24 AM »
ah sure it you go back to 2002 Mcmahon may have had 15 reasons y Brazil wasnt going to win the last world cup. All ah dem does be smart bout football especially when they not on the field. I wonder if he could tell me bout any team that will WANT to play Brazil given the 10 reasons he gave. Every man jack scared. This same squad he talkin bout pump 4 in Argentina ass in the confederations. So maybe Argentina should be happy with these reasons. England may also be happy given that Brazil run rings around them even with a man short...:-)

Football / Re: NO SEX BAN FOR BRAZIL

Food for thought.. dont know how many of you can remember... in World Cup 86 in Mexico Denmark had a no sex ban during the early rounds. As a reward for their surprisingly good performances they were allowed to spend time with their wives/girlfriends. Next match USSR 5 Denmark 1.. Home time :-) hmmmmm :-)

I think the better question is how come we haven't been able to identify or produce talent like those for a long while. The fact that the campaign would have gone nowhere without the 'retirees' coming back on board shows the potential problems that can come about when they both leave.

We really shouldn't be picking between them. We wouldnt be in Germany without them both being there. We would not have done it with just one.. NEVER.. they each bring something that the other doesnt, but that is necessary for T&T. Hats off to them both and lets begin to look for the impact players to replace them.

He is the first exec to have these kinda charges (conflict of interest/ethics) brought... that is why he is de first and ONLY to be found guilty!
The world watching yes... but who has power over FIFA if they choose to do nothing? Use allyuh grey matter.... Jack brings the power... He is kingmaker/right hand man/henchman all in one for Sepp Blatter...
The world watching but what will they do when FIFA let Jack off the hook? What can they do?

Note well FF... on your point about his power... remember this is the same guy, Jack Warner, who couldn't even prevent Lisana Libud from getting a FIFA press pass. He personally refused his pass, didn't deny that he did, justified why he did it and now Mr. Liburd has a press pass for the World Cup. Sepp Blatter's right hand man couldn't deny a small time reporter a press pass????? That's power??? Hmmmmm..... I'm smelling the tide turning here

Point taken.. but remember this...that scandal ended with people getting fired or having to resign...it's different when there are allegations than when there is proof... I just don't think this is simple to say he's going to get a slap on the wrist. The soccer world is aware and watching.. newspapers from all over the world ran stories on this.....FIFA credability is at stake....and keep in mind,  Jack Warner is nothing more than a little black boy from a tiny country that aint got no power. Just answer this.. u think its coincidence that he is the ONLY exec to be found guilty???

Something to think about here....there is a lot of internal FIFA politics to consider.. remember UEFA is a SERIOUS and formidable rival to Blatter. Corruption has always been an issue with FIFA and this may be an attempt to force Blatter to act in order to save himself. He should be up for re-election soon..

Remember this ...Warner was found GUILTY....its NOT an allegation anymore. If Blatter is serious about FIFA corruption he may be committing political suicide if he just gives him a slap on the wrist after being the first FIFA VP to be found guilty AND with the book coming out in a couple months. Warner is NOT the only corrupt FIFA official, but remember he is the only one found GUILTY  and this was after, according to a FIFA source,  he was warned after what took place in 2001 with the u-17 fiasco...that's significant.

So Warner may be either naive and stupid for getting caught with his pants down like that, in which case a slap on the wrist may be coming, or he could be made a scapegoat in order for Blatter to save his job... Do you think Blatter is going to risk himself to save Jack Warner???

Football / Re: The New Site
« on: January 20, 2006, 11:26:56 AM »
It is sad that people see this site in a negative light. It show how some people are not really in tune with what this is all about. Don't worry eventully it will come to light for all.

This is the BEST marketing tool for Trinidad and Tobago in the World Cup campaign. Im sure it was not created to compete with socawarriors.net as they serve different purposes. Question.. if you want so send someone a link to objectively know more about Trinidad and Tobago regarding football and culture where are you going to send them? socawarriors.net or socawarriorstt??.. jus think about that ...examine the content

Socawarriors.net is excellent at what it provides and that is never going to change. In that light it should embrace this site and together they can satisfy their resspective audiences.

It is a shame though, that Jack Warner, Shaun Fuentes, Oliver Camps, and others didn't see it prudent or lack the vision to have THEIR website as the one that could have served the purpose that socawarriorstt.com serves. That site is an embarassment to an organisation that portrays itself as soo organised and competent. Go see for yourself www.tnt.fifa.com. What a shame!!!

Never say much here but i have to add my 2cents on this one...

My uncle, while on vacation from Trinidad, had the pleasure of going on a tour of the United Nations building in NYC in summer 2001. While there, he came across a tenor pan which the tour guide stated was donated to the UN secretaty general as a gift from the Jamaican government.......yes.. a tenor pan....My uncle did make sure to tell the tour guide and the rest of the tour that the pan was actually invented in Trinidad and Tobago.... take that for what its worth... ;)
