Football / Re: Tim Kee to take TTFF presidency today.
« on: November 16, 2012, 05:02:03 PM »
All the best to Tim Kee. At least he has some institutional memory and he would be aware of all the wrongs committed and the irrelevance of the Constitution. That needs early fixing . If he could do it for Desmond Allum 's sake ! His efforts would not be in vain., he was one of the most honorable citizens of Trinidad and Tobago who tried his best to change / amend it as he recognized its importance in a proper functioning football governing body. Power must be put back into the hands of the clubs and they need to be more active to bring about a more democratic regime. We are so low now we can only go up. Tim Kee's  initial pronouncements seem promising.

Groden is tainted. A new General Secretary is a must and will lift the President's image.

Good that a suspect is questioned! It bad enough to have our local criminals but Guyanese wreaking havoc on our citizens too! We will support that venture! Jan has showed real strength and courage through this ordeal! He is a true warrior!

Bahamas catching up with us after getting 10 from the US? And forumites blogging in glowing terms about Pellurud.?
It amazes me how they go for the jugular for local coaches ! Poor Angus and these guys continue to be praised when they continue to do badly at these tournaments! Shows total lack of confidence in our ability , a psychological state of the old colonials! Surprised that young people think that way too! Where are our independent minded youth?

I am sure some there are coaches in Trinidad who can do better! I am tired of our poor showing! We need to get excited about something! Football news is depressing!

Over and over again! It is time these coaches are asked to account for their stewardship! They are not giving any hope for the future !

Just like de fadda! Except the fadda could talk better and was a better player but when it come to coaching ! Zilch but they lobby like he'll to stay in the game and don't care if  football goes nowhere under their stewardship! That these types could stay in the game and more successful persons out reflects on our people as much as the administration of football!
We can hope for better! In fact things should only get better!

Jack Horner likes to aggravate in a funny sort of way although what he says seems to be exactly what is happening though exceedingly wrong and unjust! All I can say is these people don't care about the development  of football in Trinidad and Tobago. They will stay in positions at all costs giving false hopes that things will get better even though the country's representation is falling lower and lower and the game is dying a slow death! All we need to do is bury it and put some flowers on the grave!
What are they going to do then , preside over a ghost of football past! They have nothing to gain by this except ridicule! I really feel sorry for these guys ,they need to do some serious self examination! I think their actions are very transparent to the  population now! These are troubled folks! Do they have a conscience! We can only pray that God will intervene!

Agree with MEP! The cabal is busy trying to put people they can manipulate and not necessarily serve the country!s best interest! If the MOS is serious about accountability , they must ensure that the TTFF has a knowledgeable unbiased technical committee in place to make recommendations on technical matters if the Ministry is to underwrite any costs for national teams! Otherwise  taxpayers Money will continue to go down the drain!

« on: April 04, 2012, 08:23:04 AM »
Are Fenwick and Fevrier local coaches? I know they have coached locally for a long time but as far as I know they are British and St Lucian and came as big men and would not have the sense of history and endogenous knowlege which would have been passed on from our great players in our history!
Are they naturalised citizens? I don't know but I think they can be valuable in our rebuilding process and we should use the best talent we have available locally!

« on: April 04, 2012, 08:01:57 AM »
Congrats to Fevrier , he seems to be consistent at this level! I know he learnt a lot from Gally who is the one who brought him from StLucia to play with one of the first semi pro teams we had in Trinidad and Tobago when he was player/coach!
He is doing a good job so far! Sorry not many fans coming out to support! We must realised everything is linked! National football is at an all time low! If things get fired up again and community based as suggested in the past by many of our top stalwatrts and now being considered by the Ministry of Sport maybe we will get better support! There is so much wrongdoing ,it is taking the fun out of football people are just fed up!
I am hoping good sense will prevail and things will be put right soon because the country desperately needs a fiilip!

Football / Re: Fire Angus Eve Thread.

You notice how the Corneals praising him! He is probably doing their bidding! I understand that there were 5 Alcons players on the under23 team and you know they are only capable of mediocrity in coaching!
A whole revamping is needed! We don't have a lot of talent , we just have to use people where they could have the greatest impact and Eve is not ready for this level! I would recommend  reassignment  as  an assistant!
He would also have to learn to keep his big mouth shut!

Football / Re: Examining TTFF’s empire
« on: April 04, 2012, 07:44:29 AM »
Injunchile you are so right! After JW , Alvin Corneal is one of the most dangerous men who has caused a lot of damage and arrested our development in football  and the people of Trinidad and Tobago has allowed him to do it! He is still there advising his son who to pick and what to do!
We have some coaches with the mentality Sancho is talking about who are very selfish and would undermine anyone for a dollar whether they are up to the standard or not!
Sancho , you and those Soca Warriors have sacrificed a lot and the country should be eternally grateful to you! It is a pity it is dragging on so long! The sad thing is once you stand up for what is right ,there are those who stand up for nothing waiting to victimise you!
The football loving public must stand up for what is right!
This would never happen in Jamaica! Hence the reason they could produce a Bolt that captures the imagination of  the world! We have to help our sportsmen in Soccer if we want to get anywhere again soon!

Football / Re: Best local coach we currently have.

Of all the local coaches we have had Gally is the only one who has lifted our football to make it competitive with the better teams in CoNcacaf which is what we need if we have any aspirations to have a good run for World Cup! There is nothing like playing and living among your competitors to know how to deal with them! He has lived in Mexico and has the best record as a player still against Mexico!
I am sure you all will agree if you can deal with the likes of Mexico and Honduras you have a chance and that is where people like St Clair and Eve  failed miserably!

Any update on whether the TTFF sued Warner on providing Accounts for LOC 2006  World Cup as ordered by Judge Rampersad?
Is not the case coming up in a few days? Anyone with any information !

Why don't you check with the St Vincent Football Association?
I recall St Clair as having a stint as the coach during a World Cup qualification and he got a lot of goals from one of the teams from theCentral American region! I remember looking at the game but can't remember the year ! It was very embarassing ! Surely St Vincent will have that information!

Football / Re: MoS and the future of football: Make your views known
« on: April 02, 2012, 06:07:43 PM »
Agreed a lot to digest here!
Most important to regain public trust and confidence which is zero at the moment with the TTFF! Hence free and fair elections should be held within the next month!
TTFF must be encouraged to have clubs participate fully, one club one vote, hence the Constitution  must be amended
Outstanding issues with the soca warriors must be resolved amicably
Project should be formulated for a proper record of our football history over the last 100 years, if we don't know where we come from we don't know where we going! All serious Footballing countries have it! We can't ignore this as we tend to do in Trinidad, mash up everything and start from sratch.
A highly qualified

Technical Committee should be appointed to guide our football development ASAP! These persons should have a track record of high achievement at local and international level as players or coaches And should not be dominated by the Maple club network! Criteria should be fair and transparent and subject to public scrutiny !

Many good ideas in the consolidated report but we have a history of good ideas on paper and not choosing the right people to implement them.
While I appreciate the MOS approach ,it should not appear that it is taking over the role of the TTFf, however in the short term , it will have to oversee the reconstruction since government is funding the programmes until it can rebuild public trust and get the support of the private sector! Of course we have to play exciting soccer and regain our football prowess for this to happen and to capture the imagination of our people that we can be competitive as we were in the 70s, late 80s and early 2000!
Hope my suggestions will be considered!
These persons should be properly invited to a small consultation with officials of TTFF facilitated by the ministry of Sport and the list should be made public!

118
Sam
You called a solid group of persons dey! These are the people who the ministry of Sport in collaboration with the TTFF should specially invite to discuss the way forward! A couple other names could be added but no more than 25 people to keep it controlled since there are individuals representing different era who share similar views and could speak on their behalf!
Not that symposium where Shabazz and Corneal went  to talk up themselves and we know what time it is with them! Shabazz licks coming in June too just like Eve!
Maybe someone can pen a letter (one of the moderators) to these two bodies with the suggestion! Egos must get out of the way so we can advance the People's Agenda!

119
These last two posts remind me of persons living in Fool's Paradise! There are many fundamentals that must be addressed before we begin to rise! We don't have a proper foundation! We have a Very poor group of administrators  who don't have a clue about football . Most of them never played the game at a serious level! We even have a firmer hockey  player running football! People wake up and smell the coffee! We in deep doodoo  unless things are put right!!

Sando you right about that! When is Alvin going to stop that shit! He is so transparent in his approach! Writing in his son's favour all the time s o he could stay in a job and our football has now run to the bottom! Are the people in TTFF stupid? How come  he is fooling them for so long!
Are these men going to continue in this vein and hold the entire country to ransom? History will not be kind to these self serving rascals!
