West Indies have made 304/7 off of their allotted 50 overs.

Uncle Phil must have mixed feelings on viewing his nephew's century

West Indies are 87/5 in the 23rd over

Hello All,

I thought I would start up a thread for this 2015 World Cup Group B encounter.

Ireland won the toss and have put the West Indies in to bat.

West Indies are currently 39/2 in the 10th over.

Anyone else following?

Seen the Ghana game.. huge shocker.

Overall, good quality football. Many Euro based players are participating.

The Senegal keeper was a man I went to school with. I can say that he has always been dedicated to his craft. His hard work has really paid off.

43/4 now.

I better get back to work eh; I cyah be behind on my projects for this Clive Lloyd select 11

What get me is the man who bowl spin, hit a yute and kill him.

Yeah, that is quite startling; but I guess spin bowling is not always slow. I am shocked by the number of heart attacks in the list, with one cricketer going into cardiac arrest while under anaesthesia.

These cases all underline how dangerous a sport cricket really is.

Samuels and Braith. out at 231 and 233 respectively.
They managed to score their centuries but the sh%$ start.

VB

Unlike the top teams, we do not have a stable middle order to speak of. Once we are three or four wickets down, we are always going to be prone to batting collapses.

Remember that South Africa were three down for 57 runs in the first test and still ended up posting a massive first innings total.

So, in this case, same dog excrement, different day

The cricket is not being televised on any of our local stations?

I guess the TV stations are becoming increasingly disenchanted with West indies cricket as well

This is a very tragic loss. My prayers and thoughts are with Phil Hughes' family.

Now that I think about it after the initial disappointment of losing in yet another final, I am glad the Warriors lost.

Insipid, timid football should never be rewarded with victory and our players would start to believe that they can play that sort of dog excrement and expect to win trophies.

My last comment in this thread.

Disappointed in our so called star players the most. Jones, Molino, Hyland. We create individual threads on the forum rating up these players but unless they can show why they are cut above the rest in these important games we need to stop with this false sense of believing they can walk in the shoes of Latapy and Yorke in the near future.

The problem is that even when Latapy and Yorke were at best, Jamaica was always a tough game, especially in Jamaica.

I really think many of our players DO NOT have a proper understanding of the Jamaican mentality.

Although, the Jamaican team tonight was technically superior to the T&T team (the warriors were lucky not to lose by two or three goals), it would have been a tough game nevertheless even if we had the better team on paper.

Jamaica's midfield and defence made us resort to kick and hope football, and many of our players were very lethargic in possession and pressured into giving the ball away.

Our national pride needs to come back

Hyland FFS

I would have felt better if the Jamaican keeper had saved the penalty; not see it sail off into the night

Jamaica deserved to win; I think the only saves the Jamaica keeper had to make was in the penalty shootout

But KJ really set a bad tone with his lackadaisacal run up for the first penalty.

T&T has to rethink its mental approach to finals

Liverpool seems to enjoy playing the Spurs immensely. The 3-0 victory at White Hart Lane today makes it twelve unanswered goals in the last three Premier League fixtures between the two clubs.

Long way to go this season of course.

This continual saga of death and destruction in the Middle East would definitely bolster an atheist's argument (and I believe in a Supreme Power).

Scriptures in the wrong hands could be a dangerous weapon.

Okay, I will concede it is more than a slap on the wrist, but it is still light considering the fact that Suarez is becoming a habitual offender.

As a Liverpool fan, I really don't know if the club can continue to withstand the continued negative impacts of these serious offences on the club's corporate brand.

It is time to offload him.

Probability is not favouring the West Indies.

This is the third time in a row that West Indies have lost the toss.

113
The key 2 WI winning a game nobody taking them on.

Caught the highlights; the crowd was still sparse.

114
New Zealand wins the toss and bats; second toss in a row that West Indies have lost, steups.

What is so bad about this a lady who knows the man call and said the grandfather father died about a month ago ,this is what so sad about it .

I hope you can handle it brother .

I don't know where the law stands on this or if this man will be charged, but I can't imagine any punishment the courts can impose that would be worse than the  torture he is presently experiencing and probably will be for the rest of his life. Really a sad situation indeed.

Yep!

Curious as to whether anyone attempted to contact him during the course of the day: Where de chile? Yuh eh pass wid de baby! ... etc.

Exactly! I wonder if the babysitter attempted to contact the child's grandfather at work, since he/she was supposed to drop the child off at the relative.

Yeah, the grandfather will take many years to get over this tragedy, if he gets over it at all

Congratulations to City. The sky blues were better than Liverpool in both attack and defence by virtue of having scored more goals and conceded fewer.

City also showed far more composure in the run-in and taught Liverpool a thing or two keeping its nerve under pressure.

The experience of 2011-12 also told, since City dealt with pressure far better than Liverpool did.

Fair play to Liverpool though; a second-place finish, Champions League football without having to qualify.

Its ironic that City won the league with the points tally that Liverpool amassed when it finished second to Utd back in 2008-09.

Somebody need to check Ameobi's bank account. WTF was that?

I cyah remember the last time I've seen a player receive two cards before play restarts.

Wow.

Very stupid by Ameobi and pointless.

I would make him ride pine for at least four games after he serves his suspension
