The Center midfield needs some work. Poon Angeron And Phillips from Waterford are two young players that need to get in this team as we build for the next campaign. We have some good young players on display here tho mixed with some good experience.

This team needs 3 or 4 quality additions but it isn’t a bad team. Good luck winning anything without an above average natural striker which this team doesn’t have. The midfield needs some help and I thought Phillips from Waterford was a good player that needed to continue to be in the fold. We need a couple of quality midfielders tho. I’m not mad at Eve because he has had only a short time to prepare and doesn’t have 3 of the country’s best players available. I’m actually impressed with Eve so far all things considered.

Happy for the win. Happy for Eve. Proud of the boys. The team will need to add some players to compete as this current mix will struggle without some help.

We have to stop blaming the coaches of this team and look closely at the collective lack of quality within the squad. We need better administration, infrastructure and programming to develop better quality players. We haven’t produced good players and as a result each coach we put in keeps getting blamed when the team disappoints. Stop looking at the coaches and start looking at the quality of players available.

You guys killed you know that? so we loss the bloody game and we’re out, that’s life!! don’t make it harder than it already is. The fact remains we have no youth de elopement system, no youth league, no academy system, a unattended league with no structure, yet when we underachieve you heap blame on the wrong people.

Why not start with the people who actually should be held responsible like the ministry of sports who never build one full time football school, the local regional stake holders who still play football on community playgrounds where every one uses, the people who voted for camps and Warner for two decades who has done absolutely nothing to advance football for in 25 years.

so don’t blame fenwick, start with the players who can’t score a sitter in the box, or the local club coaches who never taught their players the basics like passing and shielding a ball properly, or the federation presidents who were only in football to seek their own interest and the people who facilitated them. yes fenwick should go for the simple fact that he was unable to motivate the players, but was losing his fault, did he blow any of those chance tonight?

Fenwick's fault hands down. Even at our worst, we should not have lost this game. Our guys are much more talented than BAH. If you watched the PR game and this one, you will see that these guys didn't know what to do. They waiting on Fenwick instructions.
I don’t agree. It wasn’t fenwick who missed an open net in the dying stages of a must win game. The reality is that we don’t have quality players, there’s no one even in the lower leagues in Britain at all our guys are playing in in lower leagues around asia and europe. let’s be honest here, if you have quality then a coach matters but little. Just face it mate, our players really really lack quality and that’s the bottom line they are piss poor.

Ok. .

Listen all of our players are professionals. They get paid to play. BAH on the other hand may have 1 professional who gets paid. This means our players are better.

So ask yourself this question, How can a team with only 1 professional player pull off a result against a team of professionals? It's because the coaching is bad. Not because BAH is better. .

When a team of technically more skilled players loses to a team with much less skill, the culprit is the coaching. Let me remind you BAH lost to every team in the group. It is BAH, not Haiti. . It is BAH, not Curacao. It is BAH, a team that starts every qualifications campaign knowing that they ain't go make it to the next round.

Well said

The attacking play of this team is very very poor. Everything breaks down in the final third. They lack ideas In the final third

I'm not here to criticize anyone but the negativity of our fan base is something that is interesting to observe. New coach, new players, COVID Prep; most players not currently playing in their season so unfit; good talent on the field but not exceptional talent that playing in the big leagues in Europe. What did we expect? Dominance? The 70s, 80s, 90s when Trinidad dominated Caribbean opposition are so long gone. All of those countries have caught up to us and have players playing in bigger and better leagues than ours. Do we really expect to dominate and cruise in these games? The style of play in both games was possession-based attacking which I can appreciate. Do we want to sit back and absorb pressure and hope for a counterattack like before? This team and their overall play is a work in progress but I'm not sure enough of our players play in big enough leagues to come on to this team and produce the quality some of you are looking for and that's not the coach's fault.

This is the most offensively minded and possession based approach I’ve seen in a long time. It’s nice to see. They lack speed, fitness and cohesion but this is a decent side.

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs USA Game (17-Nov-2015)

Saw the game, my observations were:

T&T played an organized, disciplined and mature game.

They lacked cutting edge in the final 3rd.

They looked very tired by the 70th minute.

The USA are a better team than they showed today and didn't play well.

A point against a superior team (see rankings) is a good result.

The substitutions were good ones but maybe a little late.

This is probably one of the best coached T&T teams I've seen in years.

I watched the game yesterday and they had him playing RF which wasn't really his thing but I was impressed with his performance nonetheless. I kept hearing about him but being abroad I haven’t been able to see him play. Even though he was playing out of position he looked good overall and scored a class goal.

Football / Re: Hart names strong 20-man squad for Caribbean Cup.

This is a very good squad. It doesn’t get stronger than this for T&T. Glad to see Cato finally getting a run. His incredible speed will be an asset with a striker like Jones playing alone upfront and Peltier on the other side of the field.

Our depth at striker is worrying as Jones is the only proven scorer we have (no offense to Caesar) and all other candidates for the job are guys that are in and out of the team and really not bring much proven ability. For this reason I’d like to see Shahdon Winchester start to get some experience with the national team. He needs to get a 20 minutes off the bench to start to get some international experience under his belt. He is scoring for his club and although I’m personally not fond of short strikers, he has good speed and improved strength along with surprisingly good ability in the air considering his height.

Should Jones go down with an injury we will be in trouble upfront and really need to start looking at finding some young quality strikers to takeover from Jones.

UAE #10 is a real boss; we need a player like that

we don't look threatening at all. We really need a creative midfielder.
