Trinidad and Tobago started the game playing a 4-4-2 system. The starting line up featured:-
Thorn Holder- Goalkeeper
Backline-Marshall, Hislop, Akil and Carlon
Midfield-Neaves, Belgraves, khalim, Hayden tinto
Forwards-Randy patterson (new player), kevin Crooks
The first third was a very sloopy encounter with Trinibago looking like a team that did not know anything about the game. Changes were made and with that came some improvements. The team played a total of 3 thirds
In the last 3rd, which happened to be the best 3rd of the game, Gorian Highley and Kevon Neaves light up things for Trinidad. They switch to a 3-4-3 formation with Jermin, Highley and Patterson starting up top. Keaves had a rocket well saved from 30 yards out and minutes later Gorian nearly scored from a cross ball. The cross came across from the right hand side, Higley stretch and made contact with his left foot driving a shot low and hard down in the corner but the keeper was up to the task.
The defence was outstanding in the last 3rd and only allowed 1 goal against a solid MLS team which was Anchored by Hislop and Marshall. The lone goal came from a mix up between defenseman Hislop and goalkeeper Holder. That left a unmark Fire player to tap it into a open net.
The next game is tomorrow. The guys are very confident and relaxing tonight with card games in the camp. They all believe that they would play better tomorrow. Ancil Farrier will join the camp tonight. He had missed his flight due to a snow storm watch.
Final score: - Trinidad and Tobago under 21 team 0
