Pro League decides on teams today
T&T Guardian

T&T Pro League Chief Executive Officer, Dexter Skeene and chairman Larry Romany are expected to meet with fellow board of directors today to finalise the list of competing clubs for the 2010 season among other things. The clubs to be represented at today’s meeting at the league’s Curepe office are bmobile Joe Public, San Juan Jabloteh, Caledonia, W Connection, Ma Pau, Defence Force, Police, Tobago United, St Ann’s Rangers and FC South End.

Last month, the number of clubs for the upcoming season was reduced by one to ten when South-based club United Petrotrin withdrew from competing due to financial challenges at the state-owned petroleum company. However, another southern club, T&TEC and former league winner, Sangre Grande-based North East Stars have both expressed an interest in being part of the 2010 season.

T&TEC Sports Club, last season’s runner-up in the bmobile National Super, is the only team that has come public about their aspirations of joining the professional ranks of local football. Meanwhile, three clubs plying their trade in the T&T Pro League will also address the League’s Board regarding their financial support for the upcoming season.
The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.
