Carlos still good
...Wouldn’t mind national team run at age 38
By Ian Prescott (Express).
Even at age 38, some think Carlos Edwards is playing as though he is still the best right back in the country.
Edwards’ return to the Pro League has been a successful one. He has as been described as the “Rolls Royce” of local defenders, showing a little class above the best, and was once also rated the best in CONCACAF.
Carlos relies on subtle touches, skill and trickery more than raw power to do his job. It has allowed him to conserve something and to play at a high level at the same age in which Russell Latapy rejoined the national team for the successful 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign.
“Carlos” still looks incredibly fit, has been cruising past players half his age and is still putting in accurate crosses this season in the Pro League.
