Lawrence recalled
« on: March 21, 2005, 07:30:04 PM »
Heard on the TV-6 news that Dennis Lawrence has been recalled to the Senior team as a replacement for Marvin Andrews who it seems is now OUT of the squad for the games against Guatemala and Costa Rica.

BIG Loss there, ESPECIALLY with Cox apparently nursing a hamstring injury, and Rojas doubtful, that leaves a pretty THIN defensive unit...AND STILL NO AVERY JOHN??? The locals like Anton Pierre, Thomas and Attiba Charles will have to step up, and Sancho will have to play the game of his life!!!

I just posted below how Rojas played for his club on Friday and set up a goal.  You sure he's doubtful?  Did he pick up an injury in that game?

Also I don't understand why they call back Lawrence, one week ago he was quoted as saying he was happy to get his UK residency so he can focus only on Wrexham and not have to worry about getting international caps.  Avery was the much more logical choice.  But I guess logic worked against him since is the TTFF we talking about.

Well let's consider the fact that Lawrence's experience. height and international composure should settle the defence. Would we miss the ruggedness of a Marvin Andrews? yes. It is comforting to know we have the depth to call upon players who are willing to battle for TNT.

TNT bring on the "FULL FORCE"

No, the info I read in LAST week's local newspapers claimed that BOTH Rojas and Glen would undergo fitness tests this week. I guess it's just Glen who's doubtful now.
