Green Machine mows down Hillview.
By: Kwame Williams (Guardian).

Defending National Intercol champions St Augustine Senior Comprehensive, have booked a spot in the semi-final of the East Zone Intercol competition.

The Green Machine advanced to the penultimate round after making light work of Hillview College yesterday at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, thumping the Barataria school 5-0.

On November 11, they will take on Toco Composite, who in the first match of the double-header shocked El Dorado.

El Do, the third place finishers in the league competition, took the lead through Avery Cabralis but allowed bottom-of-the-table Toco back into the contest.

At the end of regulation time the teams were tied 1-1, sending the match into a penalty shoot-out, which Toco won 4-2.

In the South, Pleasantville and Presentation San Fernando also advanced to next round. Pleasantville edged Vessigny 1-0, while ‘Pres’ got past Princes Town 6-5 in a shoot-out. The two were tied 2-2 at the end of full time, with Princes Town twice having to equalise.

The games in the Tobago Zone which were originally scheduled for yesterday, will instead take place today at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacelot.
