Rhinos sign Kendall Jagdeosingh
oursportscentral.com

The Rochester Rhinos announced that they have signed former Puerto Rico Islanders forward Kendall Jagdeosingh (pronounced jag-DEE-oh-sing) to a contract on Wednesday. The contract is a one-year deal with a club option for 2012.

As a member of the Islanders, the 24-year old native of Trinidad and Tobago helped Puerto Rico to the 2008 USL First Division regular season title and a trip to the semi-finals of the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League. In addition he helped the Islanders capture the 2010 USSF D2 Pro League championship with a 3-1 win on aggregate over the Carolina RailHawks.

"Kendall is a very talented forward that has been a big contributor in Puerto Rico" said Rhinos Head Coach Bob Lilley. "Jagdeosingh is a very dynamic forward with good ability to hold the ball, beat players with his pace and does an enormous amount of work. He plays with tremendous energy and a physical presence. We are excited to have him as he has been consistently dangerous in our league and CONCACAF games."

The forward also has international experience as a member of the Trinidadian National U-23 team. As a member of the U-23's, Jagdeosingh participated in the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The forward began his club career with the North East Stars (2004-05, 2007) and Caledonia AIA of the TT Pro League.

You guys are talking non sense Rhinos is a big not because they not in the MLS that don’t mean they are small actually if the MLS rule were different they would be in the MLS. This team has more history that PR any other MLS TEAM do your research before make such statements

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The team was founded in 1996 and played in the now-defunct original A-League until it merged with the USISL for the 1997 season, creating the new A-League. The A-League was renamed the USL First Division in 2005. In 2006 the Rhinos moved into the newly-completed PAETEC Park, a 13,500-seat soccer-specific stadium. Construction at the stadium is ongoing and will, once completed, boost the capacity to approximately 20,000 seats.

The Rhinos have prided themselves on upholding a high level of play over their twelve plus year history. The team has never missed the playoffs, reaching the championship game six times (1996, 1998–2001, 2006). The Rhinos have been league champions three times (1998, 2000, 2001). They also won the 1999 U.S. Open Cup, becoming the only non-Major LeaguYear-by-year

Rhinos is a pretty good organization. I think they can play in the MLS. But there management will have a lot of work to do in terms of raising the attendence. The market is small. Rochester has a soccer pedigree. They had a team called the Lancers in the old NASL. And they had a fervent Portuguese immigrant following. I think they may have won the US Open cup or was in the final some years ago. They beat some MLS teams.

PRI has had more success than Rochester in the last 3 seasons.
See that 2008 USL semifinals that Rochester played in?  It was PRI beat them.
For a small, new club PRI is doing very well, better than a lot of older clubs.
And I get to see them bussin ass in the CCL.

Plus Jaggy only get a 1 year deal.  Maybe the pay at Rochester is better, I don't know.

Rhinos win in preseason play
rhinossoccer.com

The Rochester Rhinos improved their preseason record to 2-0-1 with a 2-0 win over the University of Buffalo at Sahlen’s Stadium on Thursday night.  Kendall Jagdeosingh and Andrew Hoxie teamed up to provide the offense in the Rhinos win.

Jagdeosingh recorded his first goal of the exhibition season in the 25’ minute when he and Hoxie pressured the UB goal. The pressure provided by the duo would result in Jagdeosingh’s shot from 13 yards deflecting in for a 1-0 Rochester lead.

Jagdeosingh had an opportunity to increase the Rhino lead when he was taken down in the box two minutes later. The forward, however failed to convert on his penalty kick attempt leaving the score 1-0.

The second half began with good movement by the Rochester attach. Hoxie and Jagdeosingh were once again causing trouble for the UB defense as Hoxie played a ball through the seam and into the box to Jagdeosingh.  The Trinidadian forward turned with the ball and crossed it back to Hoxie who buried a header from eight yards to give Rochester a 2-0 lead.

Rochester appeared to add a third goal with five minutes remaining however Brad Stisser’s goal off a scramble in front of the net was disallowed for interference with the goalkeeper.

Goalkeepers Neil Kitson and Ryan Kenny each played a half and combined for the shutout.

Rochester will continue preseason play with an exhibition match on Sunday, April 3rd at Sahlen’s Stadium against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.  The match is free and open to the public.
