Dundee open to offers for Kelvin Jack

Dundee open to offers for Kelvin Jack.
By Robert Thomson (The Scotsman).

Dundee manager Alan Kernaghan will let World Cup-bound goalkeeper Kelvin Jack leave if an offer comes in. The Dens Park club also expect to lose winger Iain Anderson to St Mirren.
Jack, 30, is under contract until the end of the season but such is Kernaghan's desire to re-shape his squad he will let the Trinidadian go if it frees up space to bring in his own men.
Jack was on the verge of the sack last November after failing to return on time from international duty but was given a reprieve.
But it seems that following the emergence of teenage keeper Scott Murray and Derek Soutar's imminent return from injury, Jack will be allowed to leave.
Kernaghan said: "I'm open to offers for almost everyone, apart from the kids. I actually think Kelvin has been doing really well but Scott Murray has the jersey now and Derek Soutar is not far away from coming back."
Anderson was expected to complete a move to St Mirren last night while Gavin Swankie is close to agreeing a loan deal with Forfar.
"Ando has never really shown the form we all know he's capable of," said Kernaghan. "Maybe moving clubs is the best thing for him. He's a Glasgow boy and a change of scenery will do him good." Kernaghan has now registered as a player himself.

It would really suck if we were to go to Germany with no keeper playing regularly.  If Tony Warner remains # 1 with Fulham, he will wear the #1 shirt for us in Germany.

Jack is just injury prone, thats all.

He is their number one and i think that the coach is more interested in cashing in on his present "fame" cause jack could end up leaving for nothing at the end of the season.

 >:(This story is nothing but mischief!!! >:(

The truth is, that due to our financial position, Dundee are open to offers for EVERY player, not just Kelvin.

He's not playing at the moment, as he's injured. Apparently he played the last 2 games with an injury, prior to last playing. At this stage he's still injured but I personally believe that he'll dislodge the current keeper (he's only 17 but has kept a clan sheet in his 4 appearances - Dundee have had 7 clean sheets in their last 8 games), once he's fit and proved his match fitness.

Don't worry, he'll be playing and be the No1 for Germany.

Good luck and see my post about buying the official kit, as Dundee are taking prepaid orders now.

Cheers and all the best, Paul
