Beenhakker visits Wrexham.
Wrexham FC.
An interested visitor to Colliers Park this afternoon was Trinidad & Tobago coach Leo Beenhakker, who was on a whistle stop tour of possible facilities to use as a base for the Soca Warriors in their build up to this summer's World Cup Finals.
Joining him were assistant coach Wim Rijsbergen and agent Mike Berry, who is working with the TTFF as they prepare for Germany 2006. The Dutch pair were very impressed by what they saw at Gresford and manager Denis Smith promised them all we could do to help them prepare for the finals.
The former Dutch national team coach Beenhakker, who has a wealth of experience after spells in charge of Ajax and Real Madrid, was interested to be shown around Colliers Park and what he saw certainly met with his approval. He also took time out to have a long chat with Dennis Lawrence, before heading across to Manchester to check out more hotels.
