Trinidad and Tobago’s Pro League is ranked #135 on the list of The Strongest National Leagues in The World (2014).

So only 35 leagues below us and the weakest league in the world? Wow that's disappointing. What can we do to fix that?

So Jamaica's National league is better than ours and is improving as they moved up from 111 in the world to 102, while ours is getting worse as we moved down from 115 in the world to 135.

So it looks like T&T players could be better off going trying to play for clubs in Jamaica as they would get a better standard of competition. Is that true?

Btw Venezuela is at 49 and Panama is at 86 so our players will also be better off trying to join clubs in those countries to improve their overall level of competition.
De higher a monkey climbs is de less his ass is on de line, if he works for FIFA that is! ;-)

1. Consistently win the CFU Club Championship.
2. Perform better in the CONCACAF Champions League. We have yet to reach the knockout stage.

Just like FIFA rankings, this is results based. It does not account for quality of teams in the league, but instead, the performance of a leagues top team in competitions.
One team could be very good while the rest of the league could be very poor, so it's not a good measure of a league's overall standard.
As Tallman pointed out, regular success in CFU and better performances in CONCACAF would drastically improve our position.

Isn't that the purpose of a Pro team, to win competitions (results)? Beating everyone at home all well and good, but when you step outside yuh door yuh getting smashed left and right, and have to run back inside. How could you be ranked as one of the best if you cannot even compete with the rest?

That's true if you're ranking teams, but this ranks LEAGUES. PR Islanders or Barracudas may fare well in competitions, but the leagues they play in are poor. But because of one teams performance, the who;e league is upgraded.

Like allyuh have anesia or what. Who have won most of the the CFU clubs champions league. That being said we have not done well in Concacaf. Connection has been the most consistent TT club in this competition over the past 15 years. But they have bring up their play to a much higher level to get out of the group stage.

Our 9 team league is disappointing. It is too long and difficult to keep track. I think the season should be shortened.

Jamaica is ahead that's certainly fair right now, but if the TT Pro league had 10 Central FC's when it came to community work and sponsors then not only the league but a whole host of communities would be better for it.
