World class without a doubt, he doesn't play like a typical Englishman, I thinkl he was born in the wrong country. Adopted Paul Gascoigne's temperement and stole his game and refined it. We can definitely get into his head thought, all that is part of the game..

Music and cuts does really make things look better than it really is but he good. However, in the upper crust of world football he over rated and could be a let down in the world cup. With strong well coached teams Wayne Rooney dissappears.

WAYNE ROONEY DID EXCELLENT AGAINST THE UPPER CRUST IN THE LAST EUROS. ?only injury stopped him.

Just an observation of this tournament over the years. It seems the first game is a crucial one for new comers. remember Cameroon in 82 and 90, Nigeria in 94, Senegal in 02. While man talking alot about England, Sweden for me is the must win match. Win dat one game and the odds real good for next rounds.

u know that style of play is a typical style of play here in england (london), just those of us with flair and skill dont get tru because of the shit coaches here who dont wanna take english football to a higher level. oh well

What you need to watch with Lampard is, he's very selfish. He ALWAYS shoots on sight. So what TnT will have to do is keep someone in front of him so he HAS to pass the ball.

I think this could be one of Englands big advantages.

Everyone is going to worry about Rooney and Lampard, but it is a bad move by any team to ignore Michael Owen. With all the attention Rooney is going to get, it may leave a lot of space for Owen to exploit.

Or, we may just underperform as usual
