Something about that Messi run remind me of Maradona v Brazil in 1990 just before he pass off to Caniggia.

Pretty even match- Brazil better on the run of play, but nothing to show for it....

Messi was the difference as he often is... Too Difficult to defend against for 90 mins...

Think this was the first time Argentina beat Brazil in a little over 5 years...

I thought they very sound technically, and displayed good off-the-ball running. It was a very good game but Argentina have Messi.

meh the first half alone was truly exciting... good football

needed a goal early in the game to set it off though...

after dat as small mag say, everybody was just kinda playing out the second half and collecting caps...

ah bet the brazilians vex with messi for playing right to the whistle... lol

Won't even bother to waste time opining on those two players because I can't say anything about them that hasn't already been said about young talent coming up in those two countries.  Brazil & Argentina - South American football factory....it's been that way forever, and it will not change in our lifetime I don't think.

The rivalry was one-sided for the last 5 years, not only did Brazil have the upper hand recently but they were winning by big margins...Argentina lookin' to reverse the pendulum swing as it has been reversed in both directions from the beginning of time.  Both federations can't even agree on their head to head record...but they will both agree that it's almost too close to call....

If all goes according to plan, we will see these two teams meet in the Copa America final next Summer.

from the bbc:

"Some disturbing news reaching us via Associated Press, who report that Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is suffering boos and racist chants every time he touches the ball in Italy's friendly against Romania in Austria."

I thought they very sound technically, and displayed good off-the-ball running. It was a very good game but Argentina have Messi.

A lot of there touches to me were to big. They lost to many balls of the first touch. Didn't think they committed enough numbers in the middle of the field. In the 2nd half I thought Argentina showed more football than Brazil did. I was trying not to favor Argentina (don't like them at all) but the goal showed that they found a way to get it done.

What ball were they using, anyone knows?

I ketching real kicks here:  :rotfl:

18 min: England's response to falling behind at home has been to invite France to continue monopolising possession. Crafty.

22 min: Hoooooooooooof! Ferdinand again showcases England's preferred strategy for the evening, and the French defenders say merci beaucoup, les clowns.

24 min: "The two teams are playing different sports at the moment," reckons Clive Tyldsley on ITV, and he's right.

USA not playing anything  >:( just sit back and kick the ball forward. What's up with that. From the commentary you would think the US winning 3-0 or something.
