Fluminese giving Italy trouble right now
2-2 in the first half.
This is an entertaining game, the first one in a while where the teams look like they doing anything other than avoiding injury.

altho to be fair italy playing at half speed and is the second string out there...the crowd real into the game eh

The crowd acting like they playing against a heated rival.

As a Brazil fan I hate France with a passion but I feel they make a good run.  They have a nice draw to reach quarters without having to face any of the big guns early.

We could have collected a cool 6 from Arg., was it not for Jan-michael and the defence.

Feel bad for what. We looking like superstars next to them right now. If this team is in CONCACAF top 6 that is embarrassing for the confederation.

Okay Jan, messed up with some of the goals. I would say the second 2 goals. But Lavezzi and the others missed due to Jan's positioning in the goal. Yes, we need to focus on younger keepers. And I heard he saved a pk today. But we need some serious everything to advance to the next step to qualify for South American cup, Gold cup and Olimpics. Don't even talk about Moscow as yet. We eh ready.

I think Honduras maybe in for 8 too. France looking sharp and ready.

Very sharp. Without Ribery too. That fella Griezmann when he gets unleashed will bring game ... ah not sure how much time they will bless him with, but ah watch him a few times playing with Carlos Vela at Sociedad, and he will open some eyes during the coming weeks.

Honduras is not a multi-dimensional team. They just play the way they play with a measure of commitment.

In the WC, teams tend to secure victories rather than go too ballistic. Get to 3, maybe 4, then cruise. Dey hadda strike a balance thinking about playing 7 games. France might be capable of dropping another 8, but it might not be wise.

Sept. 3 Germany v Argentina in Duesseldorf

The Germans have generally given up the friendlies to Argentina - this is a warm-up for Euro qualifier vs. Scotland on the 7th.
