Djorkaeff to miss up to six weeks due to hamstring strain

SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) -- MetroStars midfielder-forward Youri Djorkaeff will miss the remainder of the preseason and possibly some regular-season games due to a strained left hamstring.
Djorkaeff was injured last week during training in Ecuador. He will need up to six weeks of recovery, the team said Friday. Djorkaeff will not accompany the team to Trinidad on Sunday for two matches.
The MetroStars' regular-season opener is April 2 against Real Salt Lake.
