TT and Sol Campbell's broken nose
« on: April 15, 2006, 07:09:13 AM »
It is never a good thing when a player gets injured, but since Sol break his nose last week, his place for the WC looks a little more under threat now.
I for one rate this man plenty plenty.

So besides Ferdinand and Terry, who else is England cover in the back?

Broken nose eh nothing, he will be available. Don't be surprise if he wear a mask and play for Arsenal before season done.

Season just have about 4-5 more games.
He was out for the last 2 months as well, so even if he miss a couple games now, it will be very hard to make an impression on Errikson I believe.

lets see the injury time line...first he had a mental injury, then an ankle injury on his return and then aggravated another injury in training and now breaks his nose.  Unlucky? or EXTREMELY injury prone of late and a liability for a England?

Even if he didnt make the squad, there are so many adequate replacements.

Liverpool's Jamie Carragher
Tottemham's Ledley King

Sol's place in de squad not sure even if he didnt break his nose!

ah love it!!

Sol need a bush bath. Full stop.
The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today are Christians who acknowledge Jesus ;with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.

Injury blow for England defender King.

ATF - England's FIFA World Cup™ hopes have suffered a blow with the news that Tottenham Hotspur defender Ledley King has broken a bone in his left foot.
The injury could sideline the player for three to four weeks and leave him in a desparate race against time to be ready for the finals which open in Germany on 9 June. King sustained the fracture to the fourth metatarsal of his left foot during Spurs' 1-0 Easter Saturday win over Everton at Goodison Park.
The Spurs website tottenhamhotspur.com said: "Ledley King has suffered a stress fracture to the fourth metatarsal of his left foot. Early indications are that his recovery will take three to four weeks."
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is due to name his FIFA World Cup squad on 8 May and must submit it to FIFA by 15 May, leaving the Spurs skipper with a race against time to be fit. Eriksson already had injury problems in defence to contend with before King's setback.
Real Madrid centre-back Jonathan Woodgate is currently sidelined, Sol Campbell has suffered a broken nose and Matthew Upson suffered a ruptured achilles during the warm-up before Birmingham's derby clash with Aston Villa and is ruled out for the rest of the season.
The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

when i read the thread title my first thought was that Trini had posted

1. a pic of Sol Campbell walking off the pitch with his broken nose hanging to the left

2. a geographical outline of T&T for comparison purposes

i know...
