While not making any prediction about whether his team advances to the second round, Leo Beenhakker , Trinidad and Tobago's Dutch national coach, nevertheless believes his Soca Warriors have every right to be at the World Cup Finals.
The former Real Madrid coach says while Trinidad and Tobago are the smallest country to ever play at a World Cup Finals, the twin-island republic have every right to have the self believe and the confidence to go out there and upset the more favoured teams.
At a press conference last week the coach expressed the view that his team's preparation for the World Cup was more than adequate and that his technical team had done their homework on the opponents they were likely to meet.
"The only thing you can do as a team is to be prepared 100 per cent,"Beenhakker said.
Much of Beenhakker preparation takes place during a five-week period in which they will be on the road, during camps in England and Austria. During that time his team will play matches against top Austrian club Austria Wien, Wales, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, who are rated the second best team in the world.
