Air

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (March 14, 2005) - After an impressive 3-0 victory over Colombia, the U.S. Men's National Team moved operations to the elevation of Colorado Springs, returning to work Monday after having Sunday off and two days of training already under their belt.  Working amidst the majestic presence of Pike's Peak (click here for a photo gallery), the group continues the process of acclimatization.  Their first real test will come March 19 in Albuquerque, when the U.S. hosts Honduras at University Stadium.  Kickoff for the match is set for 2 p.m. MT, and the match will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel and HDNet. Fans can also follow the match live on ussoccer.com's MatchTracker, presented by Philips Electronics.  For ticket info, click here.

The Albuquerque match will serve as a final tune-up before two tough World Cup qualifiers in a matter of four days. The U.S. will travel south to face Mexico at Estadio Azteca on March 27 live on ESPN2 and Telemundo at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT, then head back to the States to host Guatemala on March 30 live on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. ET at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala.

Bruce Arena and the USA are fortunate to be the only national team to have almost the entire squad in training for up to a month before a WCQ game against Mexico.  Not every CONCACAF team,  can get that advantage.

For example, did y'all know that Arena had a full squad of 23 in camp for two weeks prior to them playing Jamaica in Columbus?  The only player that was not there for the full time, but arrived five days before was Brian McBride.   THat's why the USA are bound to qualify, or at least play cohesively, like a club side in WCQs.  Lazaroni had only one full squad session before playing the USA, for 90 minutes on the night before the game.

T&T could do de same if dey would use Jabloteh players as de core of de National team and de entire Jabloteh technical staff wit Jabloteh administration actin de "TTFF role".

But we all know dat eh happenin.

So all of a sudden, Jabloteh wins one friendly match against a club side from the MLS, which is in pre-season form, and now they should be the national team?  Didn't someone already point out that Jabloteh has a large number of players on the senior team already?

Not saying that the players aren't quality, I just think one should be a bit more level headed.

they didn't even win that match....They LOST 3-2!  And came 3rd in the Trini PFL last season!!  If anything North East Stars should be the national team.

So they didn't even win, they're the 3rd best team in T&T, they lost composure to the point of getting 3 red cards, and all of a sudden they should be the national team?  Doesn't make sense.
