TNT Well Represented ... However
« on: June 16, 2006, 11:09:39 AM »
I know and expect to be huge chastized ... but in our excitement we need to be safe in our expectations ... couple things to remind ourselves of ...
1.  Destiny is no longer in our hands.
2.  The most probable outcome of the England vs Sweden game is a DRAW
3.  The England coach is a SWEDE

I think the team will beat Paraguay and do our country proud but the fact will remain that we will have 4 points and not make the second round.

Sorry guys and gals ... reality check.

Greetings from Nuremberg. Think back to 10 days ago. Could you imagine us:

1. Earning any points, far less having a chance to earn 4?
2. Going 173 minutes without conceding a goal?
3. Not being last in our group after 2 matches?
4. No longer being patronised by our opposition?
5. Being by far the most popular team in the World Cup?
6. Still have a genuine chance to go through, after 2 matches? Of the 6 teams in Groups A,B and C in the lower 2 places, we are the only one not yet eliminated.

If u had told me that this would be our reality 10 days ago, I would say u were dreaming. I am still loving every minute of thisĀ  :)

For real. It is sad that people are looking at the glass is half empty scenario. Teams are being eliminated and we are still here. People expected so little from us and we gave so much.
