Why the Dynamo won: The Dynamo scored four goals in the first half. Darryl Roberts scored the Dynamo's first goal six minutes into the match. Randi Patterson added two Dynamo goals, and Wells Thompson scored the fourth goal for the Dynamo, which has not lost a game this season but was tied by West Virginia, 1-1, during June. The big play: In the first six minutes, Roberts broke free from Atlanta defenders and scored the Dynamo's first goal from 20 yards out.

Why the Dynamo won: Nashville climbed out of last place in the Premier Development League's South Atlantic Division by beating Raleigh on Friday night, but playing their second match in two days, the Metros were simply outmatched by the unbeaten Dynamo. Performances worth noting: For Carolina — Darryl Roberts scored one goal, his eighth of the season. He ranks second on the team to striker Randi Patterson scored two goals to push his overall total to 12 this season.
Also worth noting: Goalie Taylor Saxe had a great night in the goal with 3 saves, posting his third shutout of the season. Saxe came into the match with a 0.67 goals-against average, and lowered it. Roberts also had an assist, his third of the season, pushing his points total to 19. Patterson, a rising junior at UNCG, has 25 points on 12 goals and an assist. Ben Hunter had an assist. He is third on the team with 14 points on four goals and six assists. The unbeaten Dynamo are 12-0-1 overall and 10-0-1 in the PDL's South Atlantic Division. The big play: With the Dynamo ahead 2-0, Patterson's second goal of the match in the second half put any hope of recovery out of reach for the Metros.
