Alyuh men really have to come and watch these TT games live and direct.

Stop going on what you remember or what you see on a TV highlight clip.

Stern Playing SHIT!

The Mexico game was the best best game the man play in a long while and I ent have nuttin to fault him for that game.I applauded his efforts for that game.

But against Panama although he score..... he throw away sitters in each half, and while even the best does throw away once in a while..Stern score to throwaway ratio is pathetic. But most importantly is he attitude is what does get me. The hand on hip, fall down...shouting at team mates, always offside, gesticulations and thing we ent need that.

Also at this level in WCQ you cannot throw away, it is a cardinal sin. One chance is all you may get in a game and you have to take it.

Lemme ask alyuh fellas a serious question..In any of the games Stern play he ever run down a ball put some effort and hustle.

Compare the work ethic on the actual field, game situation between he and any other player on the TT team and you will see what I talking about.
You feel the fans at Coventry boo the man just so.

The Bermuda games he play he was piss poor. Down to he biggest Fan Andre Samuel see it with he own eye, and  he see the better of the two poor performances.

Now dont get me wrong......I am all for Stern to start scoring and regaining the form and potential he HAD, but I find Leo should do like Mickey Adams and rest he bam bam on the bench and bring out a better fight and attitude in the player.

The chances that Stern missing.....I am sure  Sealy, Glenn and Scotland could put away, its just we ent see them.

Also once we have Yorke up front we ent need Stern too.....the trap and screen one and 2 or slow and slower will not rip apart any defences.

Have One of them and have a nippy man like Glenn, Sealy or Scotland alongside.

But in parting....You dont know how badly I want Stern to ketch back form and play well and start back scoring the chances gifted to him. I am for the man, In fact I like Stern as a player,Why would I wish bad on a senior member of our WC team. I know he is critical to our WC efforts..........is just I think the remedy for he right now is a

and a

The real debate here is whether Sealy, Glenn and Scotland will be in the right positions to get those same scoring chances.  No matter who Stern has been partnered with recently Glen, Jones, Yorke etc. it seems as though every good chance has fallen to Stern and these other men can't seem to get any chances, far less score.  For all the run down ball, effort and hustle men like Glen and Jones might provide they not getting chances.  Jones started against USA and Guatemala, Glen against Costa Rica and Yorke against Panama and Mexico.  None of them came close to scoring.

But Arrow he has not been partnered with Sealy or Scotland......and the Costa Rica game and the others previously mentioned we dealing with Bertie here and a different midfield/system i.e the longball hit and hope directly to him. Which is why Yorke was midfield and not fwd in both games you mentioned. Also Glenn came on as a sub in the USA game.

If you want to compare do so using apples and apples....not apples and oranges.

You ever think Stern might be part of the problem?

My point is give others a chance and experiment now with some attacking options. I am not saying Overs Stern completely, but I am advocating either he step up his game so that his Starting position is warranted or give other attackers/fwds a chance to play alongside Yorke.

Let us not fool ourselves.Yorke is the sure starter and is who partnering him..........not who partnering Stern.

In football ...you only as good as your last performance. Frankly Stern not performing. All ah allyuh who talking bout 'WE NEED STERN" ain't looking at the overall picture. Stern of old would benefit the team ......but not the one we have now.

I don't feel we must sacrifice someone who will perform for us up front in the hope that we play Stern and he somehow manage to perform. Yes we need a scoring Stern but until that Stern is available .... drop his ass on the bench.

The man play the last 5 or so games for his club as a starter plus all some warmups in TRinidada and still say he blasted unfit. In case nobody here ever play even small goal football ..... that is an insult to greater intelligence. The man is a flicking professional and talking bout he not fit. If Dwight come and say he not fit ah go take that. The man was active in in any gkinda football till he come back on the national team. Not from Flicking Stern. Do better than that.

When Stern capable again we will play him. Don't get me wrong ah Striking Stern is a deadly weapon. But when your main weapon miss firing what yuh go do.

Go Warriors Go !!

I agree with you Cowen , we have to understand that any chances at goal are costly and we have to increase the scoring ratio.. well said

Let us not fool ourselves.Yorke is the sure starter and is who partnering him..........not who partnering Stern.

I actually like how Yorke was playing in midfield.  That's the only thing I agreed with BSC tactics-wise.  I would consider putting Yorke back in midfield with Birchall as the deeper of the two midfielders but Beenie doesn't seem like he wants to go that route.
But I totally agree with you on giving other forwards a chance to win a staring position.  I was just trying to point out that others have already been given chances in recent matches and haven't exactly grabbed them...Sealy and Scotland excluded.

If Yorke not around for the Gold Cup we won't know if he partners well with the other strikers.

Is it Stern getting himself into scoring position or is the team directing our chances to him.

Honestly I find he had a good game against Mexico....and it was him who got that header and not Yorke as somebody pointed out.
Is a matter if we can afford to have him on the field with all the things he does not do when it don't have a goal scoring chance.  That is probably why he was always coming off the bench second half or when his club needed a goal.

After Mexico scored their first goal we had the ball in their box a good bit of times....that is definitely when u want him on the field.
