Lowe keen to keep young guns - Southampton
Kevin Phillips and Peter Crouch could make Southampton exits this summer - but Rupert Lowe is "not interested" in selling Saints' young guns.
Following last season's relegation from the Premiership, it remains to be seen whether the likes of Crouch and Phillips start the season at St Mary's, with a number of clubs thought to be tracking both players.
But Saints are eager to keep the likes of Dexter Blackstock, Yoann Folly, Leandre Griffit and Kenwyne Jones, a quartet of youngsters chairman Lowe considers the future of the club."We are not interested in selling any of our promising youngsters," said Lowe. "Several of them have already proved themselves in the Championship and we are looking for them to progress this season."
Jones had a spell last season with Stoke, who Saints believe are keen to have him back, while Blackstock went on loan to Plymouth in February.
On the recruitment front, Saints are continuing talks with former Millwall manager Dennis Wise over a move to St Mary's on a playing basis.
