Conrad picked a Maple Squad to represent T&t.
This is the problem we have today,is a majority Maple yes it's true but ask anybody at that time who they would have picked, those guys were the best possible at the time, that was a bomb squad, the results and all shows it,what was good also at that time was we could have produced a second eleven just as good. You sure it was Conrad pick that squad?who was in charge of Football at that time?the politics killing we why we can't have a good team,i remember recently the national team was Jabloteh.

Former St. Benedict's principal, Dom Basil Mathhews, succumbs to kidney disease in Aberdeen, Mississippi at the age of 87. Dom Basil was responsible for bringing Surinamese coach, August Wooter, and Hungarian coach Amerigo Brunner to T&T, and for the rise of players such as Warren Archibald, Leroy De Leon, Jan Steadman, and Steve David.

OCTOBER 5th (2011)....

Goalie Weston nets a brace.

National U-17 goalkeeper Kwesi Weston who attends Shiva Boys Hindu College played as an outfield player and netted a double in a 5-1 rout of Naparima College in the 2011 South Zone of the BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League. Naparima opened the scoring through Jabari Mitchell, however, Shiva Boys managed the thrilling come-back with Weston leading the way, nabbing a double, Tevin Peters, Aswad Lake and Dwight Pope proceeded to complete the rout. As for Weston, he is known to play the striker role effectively and has finished the 2011 SSFL season scoring 10-goals making him the first keeper to do so.

Although having scored on five occasions, Trinidad & Tobago lose 2-1 to Haiti in a World Cup Qualifier at the Stade Sylvio Cator. Due to the bizarre nature of the decisions made against T&T, the refereee is banned for life by FIFA.

Central F.C. kicked-off their Pro League season debut under head coach and former Arsenal and England international Graham Rix on a positive one. Former Trinidad and Tobago utility player Anthony Wolfe also enjoyed a piece of history for new Digicel Pro League Club, with the first ever competitive goal for the “Sharks” as the Couva-based outfit edged Police FC 1-0 at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. The club was founded on 25 July 2012 by former Trinidad and Tobago international football player Brent Sancho. Central FC plays its home games at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva. Former T&T players Kevin Jeffrey and Anthony Sherwood are the Club's assistant coaches while founder Brent Sancho takes up the Managing Director and English-born Kevin Harrison occupies the Operations Director positions respectively.

Bishop’s High School (BHS) has been crowned both the Tobago Girls InterCol and, Secondary School Football League (SSFL) Champions for the very first time in their history after they defeated Scarborough Secondary 3-2 in a highly entertaining match at the Dwight Yorke Stadium. Kristen Julien netted a double in the 10th and 34th minute respectively for the girls in maroon and white before April Ewing long range effort sealed the deal for the new Tobago champs.

Trinidad and Tobago meet the United States in the first international football match at the recently opened National Stadium. It is also the first times that these two countries face each other. The USA emerge winners by a 2-1 margin.

Trinidad and Tobago striker Kenwyne Jones bagged his first ever hat-trick on English soil when he scored in the 22nd, 31st and 81st minute respectively to lead English Premier League team Stoke City to an emphatic 3-1 victory over League One team Walsall FC in a Capital One Cup game at the Britannia Stadium to advance into the third round of the Capital One Cup. Ironically, only last month Walsall FC spent a week in Trinidad and Tobago on a pre-season tour gearing up for the start of the season, the trip was arranged by local outfit Central F.C. Jones meantime, will be remember today by many as this would be his first ever hat-trick in his career as a footballer.

This Day in History

Sunday, 12 April 2015

By scoring his fourth hat-trick of the 2014/15 campaign, Trinidad & Tobago international Devorn Jorsling vaulted his name to the top of the all-time goalscorers list in T&T Pro League history. Jorsling’s historic performance propelled Defence Force to a 4-1 victory over Point Fortin Civic FC today and took his tally to a record 134 goals. Kerry Baptiste and Arnold Dwarika are also some of the top goalscorers in the league that have recorded over 100-goals. Jerren Nixon currently holds the record for most goals scored per-season when he notched 37 goals for North East Stars in 2004.
