Ah was always curios, as to why most individuals selected as captains, they play in defense or midfield positions. Very few captains, tuh my knowledge are forwards. Is it because they can control and motivate the team better from the back?

The majority of the time it's was given to the last stopper because they were the ones who were able to see the whole field and what was going on in defence and the attacking. He directed players from back there so he was giving the arm band back then. Now it base on leadership I guess. :)

A captain has to be someone that the players look up to and respect,and is vocal on de pitch,he must have expierence and cud be playing any position on de pitch.Is up to de gaffer to decide who he feel is de best man in de squad for that role.

i believe de arm band will be given to de man who can orchestrate his team,have the teams respect and be capable of dismantling a defence.diego,zidane,dunga

Beres yuh think Sperm John go be a good captain.
Seeing as he is such a leader on and off the field.

He lead us to the WC with his goals and he does lead the fellas to Zen off the field.
