Well, Liverpool are still in with a chance for a second-place finish, as Cardiff has a shock lead over Chelsea; Mourinho better watch himself.

Right now, the only things to be decided are parade routes and holiday plans. Then you have players who trying not to get kick down before the World Cup.

Seemed to me that Adrián should and could have done better on Nasri's goal.

I have to imagine that Hull is running a long con on Arsenal ahead of the FC cup Final.

Last 3 games:

4/26   Fulham (A)   D 2-2
5/3   Aston Villa (A)   L 1-3
5/6   Man Utd (A)   L 1-3
5/11   Everton (H)    65'   L 2-0 Prem

I cyah remember the last time I've seen a player receive two cards before play restarts.

Wow.

Very stupid by Ameobi and pointless.

I would make him ride pine for at least four games after he serves his suspension

Congratulations to City. The sky blues were better than Liverpool in both attack and defence by virtue of having scored more goals and conceded fewer.

City also showed far more composure in the run-in and taught Liverpool a thing or two keeping its nerve under pressure.

The experience of 2011-12 also told, since City dealt with pressure far better than Liverpool did.

Fair play to Liverpool though; a second-place finish, Champions League football without having to qualify.

Its ironic that City won the league with the points tally that Liverpool amassed when it finished second to Utd back in 2008-09.

I think that is a false narrative. The Chelsea game was always going to be tough, especially with the way Mourinho sets up for away games. Let's not forget that City also lost to Chelsea at the Etihad.

Because of the goal difference, and the games in hand, they had to go for it vs Palace. Liverpool lost the league before Christmas, or rather, they surged after Christmas, but couldn't pull ahead.

For 2014:
Man City 14W 2L 3D
Liverpool 15W 1L 3D
Chelsea  13W 3L 3D
Arsenal   11W 4L 4D

City:
   Losses: Chelsea, Liverpool.
   Ties: Norwich, Arsenal, Sunderland

Liverpool:
   Losses: Chelsea
   Ties: West Brom, Crystal Palace

Sam, Manchester City is the foreign W Connection of the BPL ... and they win. Thoughts? Aside from Hart, who else was homegrown and influential in this campaign?   :-\

Bitter that's all :bs: Liverpool went about the end on a high and bought into the hype and got carried away. Rodgers showed his amateurism vs Chelsea and then again vs Palace. They had to go for it vs Palace, they did  and had it. Then they got their school boy game on.

All Liverpool had to worry about was the League and they couldn't finish that off. They had all week to plan for 1 game on the weekend and the times it mattered they got it very wrong.

I tend to agree with this in part... we still had a chance to beat Chelsea, but Gerrard's mistake gifted Chelsea the opening they needed, once they scored it was game over.  That forced us to go for it against Palace... but the Palace game was rendered moot by the Chelsea result.  Even had we beaten Palace 3-0 we would have still lost out on the title due to City's superior goal differential.

What was the "amateurism" he showed against Chelsea?

Against Palace?   You said we had to go for "it" and "had it"... what is this "it"?  Because we never had the goal differential made up.

The psychological approach to playing against Chelsea, that was amateur.  Look at the 2 goals that Chelsea scored and figure out why those goals came about the way it did.  Gerard slip was just a slip. You ever stopped to think why Ba was on spot immediately to open up the gift? What about the 2nd goal, ever stop to think why it happened the way it did?

I like how pool play bakes...........but d approach to defensive position and cover was more than a little bit naive........pool could could blitz most teams in attack given d opportunity but...yuh could almost always see room for quick counter ....just check alyuh GA............ah dose ah pragmatism wouldn't hurt 'pool.....an I'sa fellas who feel jose could loosen up plenty and let chelsea express deyself lil bit.
I pity the fool....
