United to win and everybody after. Rio's continued back problems is a worry and I still feel the team is not strong enough in midfield. I don't want too hear any sh!te from Fergie later in the season about underestimating the need to strengthen the mid.

City have serious licks to get, they can't defend, when Toure is your best defender, you are in trouble.

Tevez will start moaning about not starting by round 5 of the fixtures.

Ade will quit playing hard before the game against Blackburn ends.

Wigan will surprise teams and will play some attractive football. Like the new coach Martinez.

Aston Villa will fall back to the pack; their defence is not strong.

The league will continue to feature some of the most unskilled labourours you will ever find in a top league. Cringe factor will still be very high every weekend.

Everton will continue to be the biggest threat for a top 4 place. Love how they play their game and the manager manages.

All the fringe players for Spurs will be charged with drink driving at some time this season.

Mods if there's already another feel free to merge.   Fixtures... game discussions... highlights... scores.

The new season kicks off with great news for fans here in the US (and Canada, but they doh really count  :D ) as FOX has finally kicked off it's HD broadcasts in full with the launch of the FSC HD channel (619 on DirecTV as of August 11, 2010) to compliment their regular FSC Channel and new Fox Sports Premium (FSP) Channel.

In addition, ESPN has officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Fox Sports International to license a number of Premier League games on US television and multimedia for the next three seasons (2010-11 through 2012-13). This three-year sublicense includes up to 74 live matches each season on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, ESPN3.com and ESPN Mobile TV.

Both of these developments come as great news to North American fans of the beautiful game, and along with GolTV launch this summer of their own HD broadcasts of La Liga and Serie A games, this promises to be and exciting season for fans watching at home or on the net.

Lol@ 'green verbs'... ent?

Heckuva start to the season though... Spurs played absolutely out of their minds in the first half.  Gareth Bale was giving Micah Richards and everybody else who tried to cover him fits.  Assou-Ekotto was doing everything else on that left side for Spurs... tracking back, winning balls, starting the attack.  He made some nice distributive passes in the first half.  Even fatboy Tom look like he slim down some, or toned up instead.

All that said and they have nutten to show for it, in part due to excellent keeping from Hart, in part just from pure hard luck. Everywhere this man has been he's been an incredible shot-stopper, not sure what's been holding him back from becoming a Number One.  City still in it though and come back out with a purpose in the second... could only imagine what this team will look like now that Balotelli finally signed his contract with them.

Kompany and DeJong have to be the most rugged tandem in the EPL boy... everything is a hard kick or ah shoulder pong off de ball.

'arry bringing out the big guns for the second half...

Pavlyuchenko on for Defoe

Keane replaces Crouch

Gio on for Aaron Lennon

... let's see if any of that will make a difference for Spurs.

Adam Johnson replaced Wright-Phillips for City and had a 5-minute burst of activity but he's kinda disappeared the last 10 mins or so.

Spurs can't buy a goal today...

They are good side on the run- They look as good as any team in England (I imagine) going forward....not sure if they have the defensive depth to win titles though

Glad to see Dos Santos back in the top flight.
