Tight race so far in the PL, i think the top 5 separated by a point. Man City and Liverpool look the most impressive thus far.

Arsenal similar but they always seem to come up short over the course of a full season, will this be different?

Chelsea seems to be growing in confidence after a tough last season and Spurs will try to keep the good form from last year up as well.

Man Utd look off the pace, no real playing identity under JM, no settled first choice 11 either. Confused why some players not getting a look in at all.

The reason why the PL always makes for good viewing is that even apart from the 6 clubs  mentioned above a lot of talent up and down the league in teams like Everton, Southampton, Leicester City, West Ham, etc. Unlike in Spain, unless its Barca, RM or ATL playing i dont have much of an interest in viewing. I admit that playing FPL also encourages looking at all teams to see who the top performers are.

Manu got spanked. Them guys thought that it was a Euro. game, like the one the played during the week. Chelsea jumped the gun and it was "murder she wrote".

Chelsea has settled into a System- 3 in the Back with pace from the wing backs. Manu still looking for a style of play. The best this season is against Liverpool. Still a long way to go, but it looks as though Jose might soon  see the back door.

Chelsea destroyed them. Hazard showed some of his exquisite talent. But the entire Chelsea was Barsaresque.

Best game of the season, so far, for me. Had city put away some of the early chances, the feelings for their fans would have been different.

I was about to turn off this game. "No way Liverpool giving up a 3-1 lead"

This is why I don't bet on sports.

If City, et al. let da gap widen it will be extremely difficult to catch us.  City squander rell chances, but dat is football.  When yuh get chances and waste them yuh set yuhself up to be punished by your opponent.  Costa was ah beast and Fabs make some passes dey, lawd fadda!!  Yuh could see where his inclusion brought more pressure on Alonso but the vision is hard to give up.  I really torn between him and Matic starting.  Kante like bestcrete because he done cement heself in de starting lineup.

D other contenders real drop points and lackin consistency these days, to loose to arsenal and pool and still end up 3 points clear at d top tells a story all by itself.

And as for kante......ENGINE

Yeah, this weekend was a bit of a letdown.  We missed Matip tremendously.  I hope we go after de Vrij or Jonathan Tah to partner with Matip.  Lovren is still rash in the tackle, and is not a calming influence in the middle of the defense.  Karius is somewhat like de Gea, in that it is taking him time to adjust to the more physical EPL.  We'll see what Klopp decides to do with the GK position.

3- something seems to be the order of the day.
Look Man City just collect 3 of the best and is only 20 minutes gone in the first half.

Southhampton vs Bournemouth. Absolutely brilliant goal by Rodriguez for Southhampton. 3-1 Southies.

Decided not to slog through that. Dahis to preserve meh appetite for Manchester City - Arsenal. Had to neglect the BPL for a bit.

Lol @ these commentators hoping Pep fails so they could declare English dominance of the league environment. Steups.

I was in and out watching this game. Actually these 2 teams have some good players, and good coaches also. They both lack depth, though. I would advise any top 6 EPL teams,  to neglect them is perilous.

Bob Bradley fired from Swansea. Maybe TTFA can hire him after they terminate Saintfiet.

Unfortunately for him. He took a sinking ship with the full knowledge that he must do or he will die. But that is the nature of this job. Win or walk the plank. I still think he is a good coach.
