Six footballers get US scholarships.

Six footballers from Trinidad and Tobago who represent both the Alvin Corneal Soccer Academy and Malta Carib Alcons have secured football scholarships to universities in the United States. They are Reuel Brown, Akiel Pompey, Kevon Jagessar, Marvin Martinez, Jesse Stewart and Shabbaz Nakhid.
Brown is a former student of St Mary's College and will start his first semester at Bridgeport University in Connecticut, where he joins another Alcons player Nikil Dolly.
Pompey, a past student of Queen's Royal College will attend Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, to begin his season this week. Jagessar is a former midfielder at Presentation College in Chaguanas, and will attend St Andrews Junior College in Georgia.
Martinez, who attended Fatima College will go to Young Harris College in Georgia. Jesse Stewart and Shabbaz Nakhid of El Dorado Senior Comprehensive have both been offered scholarships to Montreat College in North Carolina, but are awaiting admission details.
