Coventry romped to a convincing victory over high-flying Norwich at the Ricoh Arena to maintain their 100% home record so far this season.
The Sky Blues took the lead after 12 minutes when summer signing
Chris Birchall scored his first goal for the club, rifling home a 20 yarder.
Kevin Kyle, on his home debut, was next to get in on the act, netting a great header just after the hour mark.
And
Stern John jinked past some poor defending to grab the third soon after. Coventry manager Micky Adams:
"We have won against a very good side, but we had a plan, and to a man they stuck to it.
"We've now had three clean sheets on the spin in the league and I thought that again we defended terrifically - we reduced them to very few chances.
"We've had a decent start, but we won't be getting carried away, there are some tough tests ahead of us."
Norwich manager Nigel Worthington:
"We were not up to the standards we've set in the past six games, and we need to get back to that.
"We didn't pass the ball today as well as we have been doing, and that limited our chances.
"But it's a good learning curve. The performance away to Leeds was excellent, Derby was very good. I'll just treat this as a blip and then try and get it right on Tuesday."
