So nobody got dropped from the T&T sqaud.  Somehow I thought that we took 2 or 3 extra players to training camp.  Good though as players cut on the eve of a tournament is traumatic enough.

Signings hold-up in fight for Scotland.
By Euan Mcarthur.

Dundee United will put signing moves on hold to fight for a new work permit for Jason Scotland.
Boss Gordon Chisholm is desperate to land two new keepers but insisted that securing Scotland's future is his priority. The Trinidad and Tobago international had his permit renewal bid knocked by an SPL panel.
Chisholm has already brought in Scotland striker Lee Miller and the keeper situation remains high on his agenda.
But he's so determined to see justice done over Scotland that any transfer activity has been put on the back-burner.
Chisholm said: 'Things are moving on and it's in the hands of the legal people. We're definitely taking it further so a lot of our time has been taken up with this.
'I'm still looking for two new keepers but there are no fresh developments.
The club's fight for Scotland has the backing of the supporters federation, who will present a petition to the Home Office.
A spokesman said: 'We find the panel's reason for refusing a permit incredible. This decision will surely have ramifications for all of Scottish football.'
Chisholm reckons Lee Mair will be like a new signing when the defender finally makes his long-awaited comeback.
Mair tore knee ligaments after arriving at Tannadice in the January transfer window.
But Chisholm is sure the former Dundee star has a big part to play next season.
He said: 'Lee's in good spirits and has come through all the sessions so far.
'We'll get the ball out in training next week and Lee won't be far behind the rest of the players
MSP joins fight for Jason.

A local MSP has joined the battle to reverse the decision of the Home Office not to renew the work permit of Dundee United player Jason Scotland (writes Katherine Trail).
The Trinidad and Tobago striker, presently on international duty in the US, was due to sign a new two-year contract with the Tannadice club.
However, a Home Office panel comprising SPL official Ian Blair and former players Peter Cormack, Murdo MacLeod, Pat Stanton, Tommy McIntyre and Tony Higgins found earlier this week that his abilities are not such that his involvement enhances Scottish football.
It emerged today that Jason may not even be allowed back into the country to collect his belongings from his Broughty Ferry flat, as he would need to apply for a tourist’s visa to get past immigration once his UK employment permit runs out.
Dundee East MSP Shona Robison said today she is to file a motion in the Scottish Parliament urging the Home Office to reconsider their decision.
The motion reads, “This Parliament is concerned about the decision of the Home Office to refuse to renew the work permit for Dundee United player Jason Scotland; believes that Jason is an asset to both Dundee United, the city of Dundee and Scotland; is concerned that this decision flies in the face of attempts to bring fresh talent to Scotland through the Fresh Talent Initiative and urges the Home Office to reconsider their decision as a matter of urgency.”
Ms Robison has also signed an online petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/united1, which despite being set up only last night, already has over 2000 signatures.
She said, “I’d like to express my support for the campaign and for all the calls and e mails I have received.
“I am very concerned about the decision not to renew the work permit, and I am calling on Jack McConnell to support this motion. “It flies in the face of the Fresh Talent Initiative and I hope the decision can be reversed.”
Dwight a shining light for Australia.
Border Mail.

Sydney FC chief executive Andy Harper says the arrival of Dwight Yorke is a big occasion for not just the club and the A-League but for Australian sport.
The former Manchester United striker hits Australian shores for the first time today since agreeing to a two-year deal with Sydney FC in April.
While the A-League itself does not kick off for another 60 days, Yorkes arrival will likely kickstart the fledgling soccer competitions off-field battle for the attention of the Australian sporting public.
And Harper has few doubts about just how big a mark Yorke will make.
“I think hell make a big impact on Australian football, but I think one of the more interesting observations will be the broader impact that he makes,” Harper said.
“The main thing for Dwight Yorke is to come here and play football, but there are other business imperatives that flow on from someone of his stature, and certainly for us, part of that is to increase our membership base.
“I think its an exciting time for Australian sport, not just Sydney FC. Hes an international brand, Dwight Yorke.” Sydney FC beat a reported $4 million offer from Qatar in the Middle East to sign Yorke.
Dibble: Carlos will impress fans.
Bedford Today.

Hatters fans are in for a treat with the signing of Trinidad and Tobago international Carlos Edwards – that's the view of former Town keeper Andy Dibble.
The 40-year-old stopper believes Edwards will thrill the Kenilworth Road faithful with his attacking wingplay next season.
And Dibble should know what he is talking about having spent the past three campaigns with the 26-year-old flanker at Wrexham.
Dibble, remembered fondly by Town fans for his 1988 penalty save from Nigel Winterburn in the Littlewoods Cup final win over Arsenal, told The News-Gazette: "Carlos is a very, very strong attacking player with a lot of pace and he can play in either wing-back position or further forwards.
"He's versatile and also has a really decent strike on the ball and I've seen him score plenty of goals from outside the penalty area.
"He's an exciting player and I think the fans will only be impressed by what they see. He's also a smashing bloke off the pitch and should fit in well down at Luton. I can only see him getting better and better down there."
Edwards, who will miss the majority of Luton's pre-season after being called up to the Trinidad and Tobago side for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in America, also impressed against the Hatters for Wrexham last season.
He set up Andy Holt for Wrexham's opener in their 2-1 loss to Luton at the Racecourse Ground in April – the game Hatters claimed the League One title.
Looking back on that day, Dibble said: "It was mixed emotions really, because obviously I didn't want Wrexham to lose as we were fighting relegation, but at the same time it was great to see my old club win the league.
"I'm still very fond of Luton Town. I've got some strong feelings for the club and some great memories from my time there."
With Wrexham in administration, Dibble is now looking at finding a new club. He said: "I'm in a bit of limbo with Wrexham at the moment.
"Because the club's in administration they don't know if they can offer me a new deal next season.
"I've just turned 40 and people may think 'he's past it now', but I've got plenty to offer either playing or as a coach with all my experience."

We NEED to take this tournament seriously as this is a rare opportunity for us to get QUALITY practice matches.

Who gives a rats ass wha de other teams doin?

Yuh think Panama or Guatemala, de teams in we group, bringin sorf side?  Daz why Panama bring back de Dely Valdes brothers.

Furthermore....if de South African's and Colombian's bring under strength teams and STILL beat we CONCACAF teams, dat eh showin CONCACAF in a good light at all.

Wit respeck to Jamaica, dem in de rebuildin phase and focusin on developin and givin international experience to dey local based players as they should be in my opinion.  Besides....yuh done know de hassle dey would get from English clubs if dey try to bring back dey UB40's to play in de Gold Cup.
