Elcock leads ODU to their sevent straight win
Edson Elcock's had two goals and one assist in Old Dominion University's 5-1 rout of Drexel University. Elcock scored in the 4th and 54th minutes and turned provider in the 18th minute.



DelPino salvages a draw
Jeremy DelPino (former St. Mary's College) scored in the 49th minute to earn Radford University a 1-1 draw with Birmingham-Southern away from home. The goal was DelPino's third of the season.



Findley nets his fifth
Although Robbie Findley's scored his 5th goal of the season the 39th minute of the match, it did nothing to stem the 3-1 whipping that Oregon State University suffered at the hands of Washington State University.



Rajkumar scores a consolation goal
Shareef Rajkumar scored a consolation goal for the University of North Florida as they lost their opening home game to Longwood University 3-1. Rajkumar's goal in the 86th minute brought some hope to UNF who were down 2-0 at the time, but Longwood put the game out of their reach when they scored two minutes later.



Toby's equalizer in vain
Darren Toby's (former Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive) goal in the 52nd minute brought the College of Charleston on level terms (1-1) with the University of New Mexico, but it turned out to be for naught as New Mexico pipped Charleston 3-2.



Khan on a roll
Gregory Khan (former Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive) helped himself to a goal and an assist in Shepherd University's 3-2 win over Mars Hill College. Rondon Bacchus (former Princes Town Senior Comprehensive) had an assist for Mars Hill. Khan scored a header in the 82nd to tie the game 2-2.

Gilkes nets the game winner
Brandon Gilkes scored the game-winning goal 2 minutes and 15 seconds into overtime, lifting Plattsburgh State to a 3-2 win over Geneseo.

Bend it like Benjamin
In the 4th minute of the first half, Wacey Benjamin (former St. Benedict's College) curled a free kick from 23 yards into the upper left hand corner of the goal to spark a comeback for University of South Carolina Aiken after being 1-0 down. The Pacers went on to beat Shorter College 3-1.



Curl it like Cupid
Kyle Cupid (former Queens Royal College) scored his second consecutive goal via a free kick in the 59th minute, but the New York Institute of Technology lost 4-2 to Presbyterian College who scored all of their goals in the first half.



Elcock on target
Edson Elcock's goal in the 52nd minute sealed a 2-0 victory for Old Dominion University over the University of Delaware.



Ernest Sobers scores first career collegiate goal
Ernest Sobers (former Princes Town Senior Comprehensive) scored his first collegiate goal in the 79th minute to round out the scoring for Mars Hill College as they defeated Salem International University 5-1.

Hammer it like Hislop
Makan Hislop (former Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive) brought a thrilling end to the game between University of South Carolina and North Carolina State with a game-winner in the 86th minute. Hislop stole the ball in the midfield and penetrated North Carolina's defense before rifling a shot from 38-yards out into the lower right corner of the goal and thus claiming a 3-2 win for USC.



Blast it like Brown
Ryan Brown's (former St. Mary's College) shot from from 20 yards gave Fordham University a 1-0 lead in the 33rdminute. It looked as though it would have been enough for the victory, but Iona College equalized 11 minutes from time to earn a draw at home.



Beenito's goal a little too late
Keeron Beenito's (former St. Anthony's College) goal in the 88th minute was only academic as the University of Tampa stumbled to a 2-1 defeat by Rollins University.



Terrence Alleyne penalty makes the difference
Terrence Alleyne's penalty kick in the 84th minute brought the University of the District of Columbia their second win of the season when they defeated Columbia Union College 2-1.

Man of the Match performance by Keon David
Keon David gave an inspired performance by notching a goal and two assists in the 4-0 drubbing of Daemen College by Roberts Wesleyan. Keon scored at the 57:00 minute mark and provided assists in the 19th and 65th minutes.



Khan gets on the scoresheet again
Gregory Khan (former Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive) helped Shepherd University to halt a two game losing streak by scoring in the 18th minute to increase his school's lead to 2-0 over Pitt-Johnstown. The final score was Shepherd University 3 Pitt-Johnstown 1.

Roberts score his fourth of the season
Darryl Roberts opened the scoring in the 19th minute to propel Liberty University to it's first win over Coastal Carolina in five years. Roberts collected a pass in the box from Toby Lewis and beat the keeper one-on-one with a shot to the right corner. Liberty won the game 2-1.



Edsel Rudder's header sets the tone
Edsel Rudder (former Queen's Royal College) scored the first goal of the game for Newberry College on a header from a free kick taken by Debola Ogunseye in the 57th minute. Coincidentally, Rudder was fouled along the left wing to set up the opportunity. Newberry emerged 2-1 victors over Presbyterian College.

Chavis Williams earns Athlete of the Week honors
Chavis Williams (former Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive), a business management major from Trinidad and Tobago, turned in a solid performance for the Forester soccer squad on the weekend. Williams was an anchor for Huntington’s defense with his consistent play and his intensity on the field. Huntington (3-4-1) will return to action on Sept. 23 at 2:30 p.m. when they host Indiana Wesleyan University in their first conference match of the season.

Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Huntington University is located on a contemporary, lakeside campus in northeast Indiana. The University is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
